Would highly recommend - rooms were beautiful and exceptionally clean. Plenty of outlets for work equipment. The staff was attentive and professional. However, I ordered room service and felt the additional fees were quite outrageous and the Beecher's Mac and Cheese was horribly dry but didn't effect my stay what so ever.

I unfortunately frequently travel to Seattle for business and have had the fortune of trying out various boutique and smaller hotels, often avoiding chains because of their ridiculous prices. This trip, I decided to try the Grand Hyatt because my family was tagging along and it was important for them to have access to some amenities not found at boutique properties such as restaurants onsite and within walking distance. This hotel did not disappoint from the aesthetics to the fast check in to the amazingly large size of the rooms and quiet nature. I was overall extremely satisfied with every moment of my week long stay. Although there were a few snags, one being a mix up about my business card being charged for a portion of my personal stay without consent or communicating with me about merging my two stays, I was able to get it sorted out. The other was a mild safety concern because the elevators are located on the back end of hotel near the street, but they don’t require key card access to the floors, so just any random person could very well access the rooms. One day when coming down from my room to go to the office, I encountered some very sketchy characters who clearly were trying to distract me, but I kept going and at the base of the elevators, I finally saw two undercover security guards standing around....clearly very noticeable and one was too heavy to do anything of value, if something truly was going to happen. The hotel can do better by either posted a security guard at the street side doors all of the time or invest in a system that will require floor access via key cards. Back to the highlights, having access to Starbucks daily, a quaint little deli with all of these unique branded beverage items and a Ruth Chris onsite, made me thoroughly pleased. Hyatt also has some of the best beds but worst pillows, so be sure to ask if there’s a pillow menu available. I would absolutely return here again for a business trip and highly recommend this property due to location. A word of advice for Uber/lyft users, always put the Ruth Chris address in the app and in the notes state Hyatt valet...my drivers kept going to the wrong property on olive or showing up on the wrong side of the hotel and then canceling the ride.

Just spent a week here in late October/early November. Our room had a nice view on the 28th floor. It was revealed by a nice motorized shade. Room service is limited to cafeteria-style sandwiches and drinks. We had the largest bathroom I’ve seen in a hotel that didn’t have a tub. The place felt like we were the only ones there. We never ran into anyone in an elevator or hallway. Small R-2 units vacuumed the lobby, there’s sanitizer stations everywhere, and if you need your room cleaned you have to ask 24 hours in advance. Valet parking is not happening right now, and the spa is closed. The hotel restaurant, Ruth’s Chris steak house is a bit outdated style-wise, but they make an amazing steak. The hotel is conveniently located downtown, and it has a driveway so you don’t have to wait for Ubers in the rain.

This hotel lived exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend for business travelers to the area. WiFi was perfect and fast. Our upgrade was on the 26th floor with a great view of the sound and city below. Staff were quick to fulfill every request and even welcomed us with a bottle of white wine on ice (good quality) and chocolate covered cherries (great gift). We got the signature perk package through our travel agent (Luxury link) with breakfast and $50 credit we used at the elaia spa for my daughters 18th birthday. We chose a Hyatt because that is my daughters name and she had always wanted to stay at one. I was able to book the spa appointment within 24 hours. The spa is located a short walk to the Hyatt olive 8 but that wasn’t an issue for us at all. She had a gel mani/pedi and 60 min massage that really relaxed her. Everyone was kind, helpful and treated her with respect. It’s quiet and relaxing but the facilities were limited with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and small pool (rare in Seattle). Inside the Grand Hyatt also has an amazing eucalyptus steam room, a sauna, super hot jacuzzi surrounded by natural stone that is inviting and clean just through the state of the art fitness room. The huge fitness room had pelotons and every other equipment you may need as well as eucalyptus scented cold towels and delicious water. 99% walkability rating with everything close by and a very safe area with no homeless was nice to see in Seattle. I highly recommend this hotel! The bathrooms were also amazing and great for couples! The glass enclosed two head shower was perfect to share with my partner. And the bathtub fit both of us in it at just a very slight squeeze it was so big and surrounded with marble.
The Ruth Chris Steakhouse was sublime. We had happy hour there while my daughter went shopping and both of our steaks were better then the local Metropolitan grill where we paid $500 the night before. Literally melted in our mouths and is now a new favorite in Seattle.
My only negative observation is that the hotel may need an interior update soon. The elevators were well used and the decor could be a bit more luxurious but honestly I have stayed at hotels all over Seattle and the quality and service you get at the Hyatt can’t be beat especially for families visiting or business trips. Or just a relaxing weekend away.

Our stay at the Grand Hyatt was solid. When first walking into the room we were impressed until we looked out the "bay view" of the window; we basically got a quarter of a window view of the bay with the rest obscured, a far cry from what the photos displayed (which, ok, happens with advertising. We just thought we'd get a whole window to view the bay). The bed was a little stiff and definitely felt smaller than the king sized bed we have at home. The check in process was easy and we were given a lot of treats and added bonuses as part of our "stay inn" package (my wife was a big fan of the bathtub and bath soap specifically). The worst part, however, was the dine-in food: terrible. Our food was cold (my wife ordered the meat flatbread and it was basically the equivalent of a pizza that's served at an elementary school cafeteria). It was so bad, in fact, that we ordered from McDonald's (side note: if visiting on the weekend, be aware that most of the area shuts down at 9pm). Overall, we had a great time during our stay despite these inconveniences, but for what we paid we definitely felt shortchanged.

We stayed for July4th weekend 2022, for a long weekend visiting family and sightseeing in Seattle. Room was booked directly thru Hyatt website/app.

Within 24 hrs after booking, I received an email from John, a guest experience specialist, asking if he could do anything to enhance our stay. I stated we were arriving around 11:30am and if there were any way to have a room early, to freshen up from airport, we'd appreciate.

On arrival, the front desk knew of our request, had a room already prepared and ready, and check in was prepped ahead so it only took about 5 min. It was only 11:45 in the morning, but the room was ready despite normal check in time being 4pm!

The room was spaceous, with large clean bathroom, and comfortable beds. It was a quiet weekend on the premises, but we didn't hear a single sound through the walls, and found the room quite peaceful. There were free bottles of water waiting in the room, and the wifi was free and glitch-free.

There are numerous restaurants in the immediate area, and a Ruths Chris steakhouse within the hotel itself. We did not try room service.

There is a full starbucks connected by passageway downstairs, as well as a local bodega/store with drinks/food/incidentals. The hotel is central and only a 6 block walk to the Pike place market and many sites.

Highly recommend this hotel and its wonderful staff.

From the moment I arrived, everyone seemed genuinely focused on making sure I had a good experience. The room was clean. The bathroom was impeccable. Housekeeping was attentive, by ensuring I did not need anything, despite me choosing to not have my room serviced. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely return.

This hotel has gone above and beyond. First, service was impeccable. Check In was easy and we were able to check in early thanks to their early check in request option via an email sent from them. The first night we were called by the operator to make sure everything was perfect and to answer any questions for us. Housekeeping and the room was amazing, as well as room service. We paid extra for a bay view and it was worth every penny. Especially on New Year’s Eve, we saw some fireworks on the bay without leaving our room. Also, the concierge was so helpful. We had trouble finding last minute New Year’s Eve dinner reservations. With one phone call, they found a perfect restaurant and made the reservation for us. What a dream! The location was perfect and walkable for exploring. I have so many great things to say about this hotel. This will be our place of choice when we return to Seattle!

Awesome review, thank you so much for taking the time! We love our guests and truly enjoy helping to make special memories, so it's especially lovely to hear that it's felt in the outcome. I was happy to hear that we had availability to check you in early. It's not always possible when we're sold out the night before, but as you mentioned that is the beauty of the emails we send prior to your trip. By reaching out ahead of time, we're able to handle requests before you get here which can make check in faster. I loved that you had a beautiful bay view room to see some fireworks this year! Each of the departments for whom you gave a shout out will be thrilled to see your comments. We have seasoned and professional Concierge who are happy to help with restaurant suggestions or tickets to shows etc. Please always feel free to reach out ahead of your trip for ideas and help so when you get here, you can hit the ground running. We sincerely look forward to welcoming you back to the Grand Hyatt Seattle. I wish you and yours a wonderful 2020!

Stay Report - 8/26 to 8/28

Location: The hotel is located with all the other Hyatts in Seattle! I personally like the area but when I went for a walk Saturday morning at 9 AM I was reminded the neighborhood is still scuzzy and still feels unsafe.  It was better when I walked to dinner at 5 PM though.  Do note there's currently construction around the hotel so traffic is slowed down.

Hotel: Fairly nondescript on the outside but nice enough inside.  Valet parking is currently running at $58 a night, the valet guys are very friendly.  The doors are supposed to be locked after 10 PM according to signs but they aren't.  The lobby is expansive but pretty gloomy as there's very few people here and not much going on.  There's also cavernous event space but if you're there on a weekend it seems empty and echoy too.  The common areas on the floors are very nice at least.

Check In: Disappointing.  No Globalist recognition.  No upgrade.  I heard the couple in front of me be told there was no daily housekeeping, I had to enquire about this and inform the agent that yes, I wanted that.

Room: Nice enough though some odd design the features.  The TV placement makes it so one bed can't really see it.  Speaking of the beds, they're tiny and they make horrible creaking noises when you move even a fraction of an inch.  The bathroom was the best part of the room: huge with both a shower and a tub and nice Balmain products.

Dining: Breakfast is mandatory room service for Globalists because the lounge isn't serving anything.  Though if you want you can have them bring it there.  The menu was limited but the food came quickly at least.  However I was still charged $12.80 and I had to deal with that at check out.

Lounge: It's open in the sense that you can go in.  They had a fridge of sodas and waters, a coffee machine and some packaged snacks.

Frankly, this hotel is charging Grand Hyatt rates and not delivering Grand Hyatt services.  I was left disappointed.

I stayed 4 nights at the Grand Hyatt Seattle July 13-17, 2021. I enjoyed my entire stay, the check in process was quick, each customer service representatives was pleasant upon each encounter. Valet parking was $55 per night the valet is accessible from 7am - 11pm (12am-7am theirs not valet access available). My suite was a king size with a sit in tub, and shower, the sink in tub was comfortable I soaked every night. There was a refrigeator for my refreshments, no microwave. Internet access was complimentary no delays, or interruptions, I noticed an ethernet cable for direct access yet I have a MacBook Pro I used the wireless WiFi which worked excellent. They provide 24hrs room service the menu selection was reasonable. Overall my experience was wonderful.

What I would do is use an Uber/Lyft car ride service. You can schedule the ride when you are ready. Often the wait time can be as short as a minute or as long as maybe 5 minutes. I speak only from my experiences. I have tried other modes of transport but prefer the ease of scheduling and costs. The cost at the time of this post is anywhere from $25 to $60. You could of course walk if you don’t mind a bit over an hour of huffing it. Yes it is walkable but I would prefer a ride that caters to my time-line as well as how much I would like to pay. The walk is about 3 miles plus a few hundred yards at the most. Good luck to you and I hope I gave you some realistic and helpful options.

We had a reservation this spring that included breakfast as well. There is no restaurant so it is delivered via room service. We were able to choose one entree and one beverage per person. They were pretty quick with delivery and the food was good. Delivered on a table with nice plates and silverware. It was really nice having breakfast delivered each morning!
