Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Mediterranean Inn earns praise for its prime location, with guests frequently mentioning the convenience it offers for visiting nearby attractions and attending events. The friendly and professional staff at the hotel receive accolades for their service, although opinions on value are mixed, with some finding the rooms overpriced despite others considering the rates reasonable. While the cleanliness, especially of the updated bathrooms, is consistently celebrated, some travelers report that the rooms could benefit from a refresh in decor and addressing minor maintenance issues. Amenities like the rooftop deck and kitchenettes are popular, though the slow elevators and limited snacks have been called out.

We try to stay here whenever we visit our kids (they’re here for college). Relatively close to their apartment and perfect QA location! Walking distance to great food and shops. Love the Starbucks off the lobby, too!

Seattle can be a tough town to find nice, value oriented accommodations within walking distance of the city centre, so we were vey pleased with the price/value ratio of the Mediterranean Inn. We used the rooftop deck a couple of times, it's definitely the star feature. The front desk staff was very helpful for answering questions. The room was fine, we had a room with two double beds (we would normally choose a queen) one of which my wife couldn't get comfortable with, although mine was fine.
There is street parking available in the area, it can be worth a quick drive as we were able to find an unrestricted free spot within a five minute walk of the hotel.
Drink the hotel lobby coffee at your own risk though... You can't have everything.

This hotel has an antique feeling and our room was small but the rates are super affordable for the area, the location is great only 7 min walk to the Space Needle and Olympic Sculpture Park with many restaurant and bar options near by.

The roof top view is the reason I choose to stay here but what made our stay really special was the staff they are super friendly and go above and beyond to help you with all your needs. The loner bicycles were a great surprise we checked them out almost every day (we stayed for 5 days) and were able to bike all over downtown.

Construction noise during the day is a downside but I am sure it won't stay forever also our room door knob was loose and one night we accidentaly slept with the door open.

I will stay here again next time we are in town

We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely, friendly hotel in Lower Queen Anne, just a 2 block walk to the Seattle Center, an active arts and family gathering place in the core of Seattle. There were a dozen or more terrific little restaurants nearby, hot coffee always in the lobby, a rooftop deck and an exercise room. Being able to walk to all the museums, the Armory, the Monorail that goes downtown, and the Space Needle was superb. My daughter was sick when we visited so having the Safeway next door plus a good teakettle and fridge in the room was ideal. Staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and really we just loved the location. One thing to mention - ask for a room looking out on the water or on the street. This hotel has many rooms that are on an inner well or right next to another building so they feel a bit tight, but of course they are super quiet. We were able to check in hours early and so we took what we could get. The street was not noisy or busy so I think that would have been fine. Anyway, we loved the Mediterranean Inn. One day we walked to the Monorail (10 min.) took it downtown (10 min.) and then walked to Pike Place Market (under 10 min.) That seemed just perfect.

We stayed for 1 night. Our room (double bed) was on the first floor, and included microwave, fridge, & safe. The room was completely renovated and looked even better in person than the initial pictures we saw online. The location is very close to quite a few restaurants, Opera house, Climate Pledge Arena and Space Needle (10 mins walk) On the rooftop there is viewing area which we never got to checked out as it was raining on our visit. Parking was reasonable at $21.00 per day/night. This hotel offers free toothbrushes, and toiletries if you forget anything, and included a small selections of teas and microwave popcorn. Overall the staff is very friendly and we will definitely book a stay here again.

Thank you for your excellent review, J0hn_C604! I'm so glad you enjoyed the look and feel of our newly (February 2020) renovated rooms. We do not have any rooms with double beds, they are all standard Queen or King size beds that we have custom made just for us! Taking care of our guests is our highest priority, but it's so good to hear when we've succeeded with our customers. I'm quite glad to hear that you not only enjoyed your time here at the Mediterranean Inn, but also in Seattle! If you are ever back to visit, please give us a call - we'd be thrilled to have you back. Warm Regards, Amanda S. Front Office Manager

From the moment that we entered the hotel lobby and were greeted by the staff, to the moment we saw the hotel room, I was impressed.
The location is VERY close to the Climate Pledge Arena, and only a bus ride away from Pike Place Market (we chose to take the bus, as we didn't want to bother finding a parking space).
When we asked for recommendations for local restaurants, the staff was well versed with the local eatery.
The room was very nice, and it had USB ports on the nightstand between the beds which was very convenient. It also had a mini-fridge and came with coffee, tea and popcorn (Popcorn? Yesss!)
The only disappointment was that there were no bars in the shower to hold on to.
If/when I need to stay overnight in Seattle, I will book this room again.

We stayed one night to attend a Seattle Kraken NHL game at Climate Pledge Arena. The location was amazing! It was a 3 minute walk to the arena. The area felt very safe. The staff was so friendly and helpful. There are many restaurants around the hotel, including Dick’s for late night cheeseburgers, fries and shakes. The Irish pub around the corner was fun for carbombs after the game and was open late. There is even a Starbucks connected to the hotel lobby. The parking garage is under the hotel. We were happy to park out of the rain and the parking fee was very reasonable for such a great location in Seattle. The rooms were very clean and the beds are comfortable. Overall, we were very happy and would definitely stay again. Do not miss the rooftop deck views! It’s a must see during the day and at night.

When I visit Seattle, I want a place to relax and have a good night's rest after a day in the city. The Mediterranean offers this and more. It is very conveniently located near the Center; a grocery store; coffee shop and a choice of different food choices in restaurants. The room I was in was as advertised. Additionally, I had a beautiful view of the city and sound. Best of all, it was clean -- a pet peeve of mine of hotel rooms is the neglect in caring for a room's basic housekeeping leading to problems like mold, smells (often "covered" up by a deodorizing spray), worn tiles & linen, etc.. The staff was friendly, and I would not hesitate to request assistance from them were it necessary. I will stay here when in Seattle. It is not the Four Seasons, but that is not what I require in accommodations or want in price!!

I chose this location since the Climate Pledge Arena was a quick walk to the concert with my partner , secure parking was an option at $27/night, I noticed event parking in the area was up to $50 for only 4 hours. The rate was disappointingly high but I figure “you get what you pay for”…So with that in mind it was worth it. Starting at check in and throughout my stay; I was impressed with the genuine interactions I had with Crystal. She was respectful, helpful, patient and offered accepting recommendations on local activities and good places to eat. I would stay again.

The reviews on this site suggest that this hotel is great but it definitely has a few issues. If you can get it for an awesome cheap rate, then go for it - it's in a good location with a Safeway right across the street and lots of restaurants and a whole foods type grocery quite nearby and the staff here are wonderful and helpful and quite professional. the garage is handy too and the parking rates are cheap.
But I would not stay here again- the rooms are very, very small and dark (in keeping with the European theme I guess) in a double room the air conditioner basically sits on top of one of the beds. The beds are soooooooo soft that our backs were in major pain and we considered sleeping on the floor.... and the advertised "kitchenette" in the room is nothing more than every hotel has - a micro refrigerator with a small microwave and a coffee pot. Most of the rooms seem to look out onto the wall of the rooms across from them (there are tiny little courtyards in the middle of the building I guess that allows the room to all face each other instead of facing the outside. the rooftop patio is super nice, but plan to walk the stairs to it as the elevators are pretty slow. There's a Starbucks downstairs, so that's handy and the transit system is nearby, so that's also handy. It's a short and relatively safe walk to Seattle Center and the park and the area seems safer than many in Seattle, so that was good.
All in all it's a decent or even good place if you are OK with super small and dark rooms and don't want any kind of a view (well, you get a GREAT view from the rooftop, so there's that...)
another good thing is that the hotel does have bikes for you and umbrellas to borrow and they don't charge a daily resort fee like many do in Seattle. and again, the staff are great :)

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback, Katherine L. I'm glad that you enjoyed the location, which is great for easy access for places to eat as well as getting to Seattle Center, downtown and Pike Place Market. I'm also pleased to read that the staff was helpful to you. I'm sorry that despite these positive factors, you didn't find us to be a good value and this warranted a 1 star review. I'm also sorry to read you were disturbed by the Interior Courtyard. It usually is the quietest place in the hotel (away from street noise). We also have rooms that have ordinary urban views and do our best to accommodate all guest requests for exterior facing rooms, but based on availability, it may not always be possible. Thank you again for your feedback and we wish you the best of luck in your future travels. Best Regards, Amanda S. Front Office Manager

We do have a secured well lit parking garage located directly underneath our building that is easily accessible from our lobby and guest rooms via two elevators. It is first come, first serve. The front desk can supply you with a key that will allow you to access the garage even if your room isn't quite ready yet when you check in. Our guest parking is $27.00 per night and does include 24hr/day in and out privileges.
