From the minute we met Viv and Rodolphe, we felt right at home and part of their family! We loved everything about our stay. Whether it was the historic location of their home, the impeccably clean and ample comforts inside, the incredible history beautifully and respectfully displayed throughout, or the delicious, well thought out, home cooked breakfasts, we loved our...

Comfortable and clean rooms. Host cooked us amazing breakfast spreads and recommended superb restaurants. Had a ton of information about the area available. Interesting photos and memorabilia from WWII decorated the walls.

Our three large families had an amazing stay in this B&B. Viv and Rodolphe were great hosts and incredible chefs. This was by far the best breakfast of any hotel or B&B ever. Further, the historic decorations and discussion brought us even more into the surreal atmosphere. We plan to stay here again on our next visit to Normandy.

Together with our friend who lives in Paris, my 15-year-old daughter and I just spent two nights at an unparalleled, historic venue in France. The visit exceeded our expectations in every respect -- from the comfort and cleanliness of our room to the delicious European breakfast. Our hosts, Vivian and Rodolphe Roger, took the thoughtful step of accommodating us in...

My 13 year old son and I from the USA stopped here for a 2-night stay over Easter weekend. The hosts were very friendly - even wiped dew off our car on the morning of final departure. We had the top bedroom and it was very clean and comfortable. I slept very very well. The area around the B&B is...

We could not have been more pleased. The location was perfect, the room was comfortable and spacious, breakfast was yummy and filling, and the wifi was good. Vivian and Rodolphe were so hospitable. It was windy and chilly the days we were there and 2 evenings we chose to buy dinner from a local grocery store and eat it near...

We felt welcome from the moment we approached the gate of B&B a’la Bataille de La Fiere. When I booked our stay, I did not realize how convenient and centralized it is to all the American historic sites of the Battle of Normandy. The Owners, Vivian and Rodolphe are very warm and friendly. From the moment we arrived, they went...

I spent a weekend B&B a la Bataille de La Fiere between business meetings last month. My plan was to trace the route of my Grandfather who landed in a glider in the area on D-Day. I was completely surprised by the sheer volume and detail of information that Vivian and Rodolphe have assembled on the activities of the 82nd...

This place is wonderful! Chocked full of history, the country setting right next to one of the bridges that had to be secured during the D-day invasion is so peaceful. Rodolphe and Vivian open their home to those seeking a trip into the past. Awesome breakfast, luxurious rooms, and gracious hosts. I would go back in a heartbeat. If I...

Trip Advisor : This review was submitted to you six days ago and is just now appearing on our page. Therefore, I assume that it was further reviewed for acceptability. However, this review is pure harassment. This person assumed that we operate like other French B&Bs. We do not take bookings at the door, nor by telephone. All of this is stated on our website and at our mailbox at the street. We do not welcome nor accept anyone on our property without prior authorization by phone or e-mail. No one at the door by foot or car. We do not invite strangers inside nor do we enter into conversations with them outside. This person had no authority to be here and was trespassing. So why would we be welcoming?

Our property is posted as “Private Property”. We only accept authorized guests. Due to our rising popularity and 70th Anniversary of D-Day, we have had many trespassing instances this summer. We are now in the process to have a private gate and fence installed at the entrance. The construction is pending approval of a permit as water and electric lines are buried in the passage. There are two postings indicating that this is private property, one at the passage and one on the house at the front door. All visible from the street. We have done all that our local authorities have suggested (Mayor and Gendarme). They are very familiar with our problems of trespassers as well as similar problems of others in our community. There have been instances of breaking and entering and destruction of property (day and night). So we are all vigilant. Strangers who ignore postings of “Private Property” are the violators, not us.

Yes, I can and will make a management response, if necessary. However, why should we suffer a bad review resulting in a diving rating affecting our good standing? Please do not let this happen. If you do let this review stand, you set a precedent for others to do the same. You already assisted us to take down a previous similar incident. We thank you for that. Now, we need your help again. This reviewer was breaking the law. This reviewer walked off and called my husband a Nazi.

Your loyal business clients, Rodolphe and Vivian ROGER
