We stayed here following our trip to Denali National Park & our stay at the North Face Lodge. It is the perfect place to explore Anchorage, within walking distance of the city, & wonderful restaurants. Also a good starting point to link up for glacier tours and car trips to neighboring towns. The breakfasts prepared by our hostess, Carley were... More

Parkside Guest House delivered a completely satisfying Anchorage lodging experience. The guest house (but it's a home) is a Stickley furniture catalog with all the accessories. No detail was overlooked. Carley is a hostess extraordinaire who provides expert local attraction and dining guidance, logistics for travelling, gardening tips, and delightful breakfasts. The home is nicely located across from a park... More

This amazing property is a difficult ticket. Owned by the family that owns Camp Denali, it is a preferred stay for arriving or departing Camp Denali guests. However, with only 4 rooms, there is a limited supply. Nonetheless, this is one of America's premier Bed and Breakfast's and should be a first effort in obtaining lodging in Anchorage. The conversion... More

Our stay in Anchorage after many hours of travelling from South Africa could not have been made more comfortable by Carley at the Park Side guest house. She could not have gone out of her way to make us feel more looked after. The craftsman style decor is attractive, the rooms were quiet, comfortable and extremely clean, and the breakfasts... More

This is a lovely guest house somewhat detached from downtown Anchorage, although within walking distance. Carly, the hostess, is very helpful and knowledgeable - and a terrific baker! Her breakfasts are wonderful. The craftsman furnishings are quite amazing. We stayed here a total of 4 nights (yes, a bit long for Anchorage) before heading to Camp Denali.

We stayed here for one night in mid-July. It is owned by the same family that owns Camp Denali. Staying here before our visit to Denali Park allowed us to take advantage of the caretakers assistance is some sights on the way up. As we had 2 days she assisted us with suggestions for such mundane things as grocery stores... More

If you like beautiful craftsman style and a gracious home atmosphere... Stay at this place. Convenient to downtown... In a neighborhood. Room and breakfast were great! Don't forget to ask about what was involved in building the craftsman cabinets..the owners/ Hostess spent years on the project! A gem in Anchorage

We stayed at Parkside just one night but we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. It's a charming house conveniently located walking distance from dowtown and in a quiet neighbourhood, in front of a big public park. Carley, our kind hostess, welcomed us with a big smile, a nice cup of tea and some fresh fruit. Our room was spacious and very... More

I didn't want a big hotel feel while in Anchorage so, I opted for this little B&B. The location was PERFECT! We were able to walk to town (or take the bus) and we really felt like we were part of the town. Everyone was very nice and hospitable and the food was AMAZING!!!!!! This is the only way to... More

We loved staying at the Parkside. The entire home was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Carly works extremely hard to make sure the guest experience is equal to the best hotel and we really enjoyed getting to know her. She makes tasty muffins, scones and coffee for the morning. The property is in an excellent location near town and very... More
