The lake is in full view from the living, dining & bedroom and such a view would I never get tired of seeing! The owners did a marvelous job of maintaining the large trees all around the house - it's just beautiful. The bed was comfortable, everything was immaculate and well organized. We hated to leave! Thank you Annie & Tim...

Do you enjoy comfort, beautiful lake views (being an icefield in winter), view of an occasional float plane landing on the lake, location being 10 minutes from airport and short drive to Kincaid (moose viewing) park, wonderful people hosting you? Then the B&B suite at Lakeside would be ideal for you, as it was for us. We fully recommend this...

We stayed at the Lakeside B&B for our first and last night (July 1 and 7) during our first Alaskan Adventure trip from the lower 48. I originally selected it due to the close proximity to the airport and wanted to alleviate any stress during our arrival and departures. And while it was great for that purpose, we could have...

I was very hesitant on booking and staying in the house with the owners. They have it set up amazing, I enjoyed my vacation. I was just extremely excited to take my elderly grandfather. We had a blast

The place is in a very quiet neighborhood by a lake. They have paddle boats there and my kids had a great time riding them. Too, bad we only stayed there for one night only. The place was is big enough for four of us, two adults and two grown kids. I highly recommend it

We stayed at Lakeside B&B 2 nights while in Anchorage. We absolutely loved it! The rental is conveniently located near the airport and is top notch. We felt so relaxed and just enjoyed hanging out by the lake, watching the ducks, and enjoying the mild weather. We were able to see a plane take off on the lake and even...

We only stayed here for one night, at the end of our trip. The views of the lake and nearby mountains were wonderful. Sunset (at midnight) was amazing! I sat on a swing by the lake and watched a momma eagle teaching her baby how to fly. Anne is very sweet. She knew I wanted to see a moose, so...

My wife and I are no strangers to Anchorage and needed a place to stay; she suggested a B&B and when we hooked up with Annie and Tim in their Lakeside B&B, what an awesome find! From the very first phone call and email, talk about genuine kindness - this was the high standard maintained throughout the 6 night stay....

My husband and I stayed here for the start of our dream retirement vacation. We could not have been any more pleased. The owners made us feel very welcome and at home and the kitchen was well stocked. The homemade treats were a bonus. We felt as if we were in a private apartment and the views of the lake...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Imagine being surrounded by an acre of woods, fronted by a large fresh-water lake stocked with salmon and flocked to by geese and float planes alike. Imagine canoeing in the early morning mist or hiking the nearby Coastal Trail along Cook Inlet. Imagine cross-country skiing in the brisk winter sunlight or ice skating under the Northern Lights. Realize it all at A Lakeside Bed & Breakfast. Your private suite is reached through an outdoor entrance. Step into a large living room complete with sitting area, dining room, reading nook and solitude. A private bedroom and bath are yours, as well as kitchenette where a self-serve hearty continental breakfast is made at your leisure. (We provide cereal, oatmeal, eggs, breads, fruit, juice, tea, milk and coffee.) Browse through the bookcase for your favorite book. Pop some popcorn, move the TV (with VCR/DVD) to your favorite corner and settle in for a private screening of a classic film from our library. Relax. As cozy as it is inside, there are lots of activities available outside all year round. Paddle one of our canoes around Sand Lake, explore canals and search for loons and moose. Or go for a bike ride on the Coastal Trail and watch for breeching whales. Sit a spell on the patio and feel the peacefulness engulf you. No matter what month it is, A Lakeside B&B is always in season. We're located on the shores of Sand Lake, eight minutes away from the Anchorage International Airport, 20 minutes from Downtown Anchorage, 45-60 minutes from Girdwood and Portage Glacier and the Chugach National Park, 60 minutes from the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. We are close to bike and world-class ski trails, a grocery store, drycleaner, 10 minutes from a large shopping mall and movies theaters, 30 seconds from Mother Nature. ... more   less
