This was such a great place to stay. Very reasonablly priced, very quiet, and friendly staff. I stayed with a friend for two nights in a private room just last week and I will be returning in a few weeks to stay after backpacking through Denali. I highly recommend this place to all hostel lovers. Cheers!

If you're looking for a reasonable-priced hostel in Anchorage, you should stay at the Arctic Adventure Hostel. We have been booking a private double-room befor flying out of Alaska again. When we arrived to AK we stayed at another hostel (not named here), which was kind of ugly and quite expensive ($135/night) - we would always come to Arcitc Adventure...

We slept one night in this hostel: very nice people as receptionists, shared but very clean bathrooms, small but efficient room and a fully-accessorized social kitchen. An ideal solution for young and backpackers.

We stayed in the private room at this hostel for 3 nights. The first night ,We arrived at late night (3am) and surprised that the room is ready. The bedroom is basic but clean compare to other hostels we stayed in alaska during the trip. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is although a bit old but clean. The...

We stayed for one night after a late flight into Anchorage before heading to Denali National Park. It was perfect for what we needed. The property, bed and room were clean. We got in late and left early so we did not interact with any other guests but we would return if we were in Anchorage. The night manager was...

I've stayed at the Arctic Adventure hostel several times and I'm definitely a fan - it's my go-to first choice when in Anchorage. First and foremost....they don't smell. Seriously, that's one of the biggest downsides of hostels (or at least all the places I've stayed to date): the bathrooms always have this unwashed funk, even if they're clean. Arctic Adventure...

Rooms are spotless, beds are clean with nice sheets not to mention a flat scree TV! All for $55 a room! Bathrooms are equally as...

This review highlights the difficulty in running a hostel in Alaska in the winter. Because of the lack of tourism you get mostly longer term people that are moving here or between jobs, etc. In this case you have 2 deadbeats that could not find a job and choose to get drunk and wake the entire 3rd floor. If someone...

“We had two stays there, both on the top floor. Both rooms were quiet and right across the hall from the bathroom/shower. However, being on the top floor also meant the rooms got a bit warm in the evening! About the only downside I can think of to the Midnight Sun!”

“You will need to get a taxi from Anchorage airport, approximately $15. Check out the huge Barnes and Noble bookstore nearby. Outback Steakhouse is a couple of minutes walk and worth a meal.”
