We stayed in the Wrangell room and the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that we had to share a toilet with the occupant of the adjacent room (didn't spot this when we booked). Other than that, it's an excellent place to stay, a short taxi ride from Anchorage in to a really nice neighbourhood (in...

This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and it couldn't have been better. When we arrived, we found the atmosphere very welcoming and snacks were set out for us to enjoy. In the morning we met the owners John and Jennifer and shared a wonderful breakfast with other guests. Jennifer offered many suggestions of where to go...

We spent two nights at Fireweed and were very comfortable. We were welcomed by owners John and Jennifer and given an excellent dinner recommendation. We had the Glacier Room which has lovely "modern lodge-y" decor. Coffee and tea are always available, as are snacks and fruit. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed for one night after arriving in Anchorage from a long distance flight. The B&B is very clean, the bed comfortable, the owners very friendly and interesting to chat to and the breakfast excellent with homebaked scones and fresh fruits. Would definitely stay again!

Fireweed Manor is an excellent choice for a stay if one wants to avoid the more populated motel experience. What sets this B&B apart from others is that it is operated on more of a do-it-yourself mode. You may never see the owners, but they will certainly communicate with you, prepare you well with all information needed for your stay,...

I stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of September in the Wrangell room that had a shared bath. The room was very comfortable and private with a sink and shower. The shared toilet in the hall wasn't a problem at all. In addition to the room, there's a full kitchen and 2 living rooms that are shared between...

We flew in from Florida 3 days before our cruise tour started just to get used to time change and 18 hrs of sun. This was our first b&b and we were nervous about staying in someone's house but, this place was fantastic from the moment we walked down the sidewalk we felt welcomed. The rooms were spotless and we...
