This is right by the airport. I called to have the shuttle pick me up and bring me to the hotel. Not a long wait. Friendly staff at front desk. Was here during coven and you have to wear your mask outside of your room. They seem to be on top of that. Awesome lake out back, great at sunset. You can ask for a room facing it but seems they give those out first come first serve. Maybe you’ll get lucky. There are a bunch of sea planes that land on the lake so it’s a cool view. The room was clean and quiet. The layout is a bit weird, I felt like after I got off the elevator I was walking down an endless corridor to get to my room. Maybe there’s a second elevator bay I missed. Very wood cabin feel. Lots of lounge areas to hang out. Bar and restaurant on premise. I didn’t partake of either. My only issue was my sink backed up. But I was only here for one night so it wasn’t a big deal. Work paid for my room so I can’t talk about rates but I did hear guy checking in before me ask about extending his stay and it seems you get a better rate if you book online. Shuttle back to the airport in AM was prompt. All-in-all a good stay.…
Nice, standard hotel. Clean, big, comfortable room, black out curtains, air conditioning, and tv with Netflix was perfect for us after “roughing it” in interior Alaska. Nice front desk staff. Beautiful location on the lake. No complaints-
This place was really nice. Clean with a lodge feel and full of taxidermy to entertain you. Our third floor room overlooked the lake where planes took off and landed (not during sleeping hours) which was great to watch. The food was good and drinks well made and reasonable. You can walk along the lakefront and get your exercise. We were very pleasantly surprised!
I called and was told that the fitness room was closed because COVID so stayed at worse cheaper hotel for part of stay (why pay more if the amenities are shut down). The other hotel, Guesthouse (homeless people given vouchers to stay there, aka, homeless shelter), that I switched for my last night. I was mad when I saw fitness room really was open. It was great to see that but wished I'd know sooner. Loved everything about hotel including airport shuttle, rooms, service, lake view and proximity, microwave they brought to my room.
We stayed one night from flying in from the mainland to Alaska. When checking in the room was beautiful and large. It was a nice welcome to the state. The build itself is large, with at least one conference room. It was clean, but the hallways were a bit confusing. The room was a standard room one would find near the airport. The room was clean, with the exception of a brownish-red stain on one of the sheets. It appeared to have been washed but was actually stained. If it wasn't for this, I would have given it four stars. The beds are a queen size, with a chair, table, and countertop. Was much larger than most hotel rooms, which was very nice. The staff seemed friendly and wore masks at all times. It's within walking distance to a Subway, gas station, a Mexican food. There is also a Wendy's and McDonald's down a little further.…
