Old and tired, although not noisy surprisingly. Price was high for the worn out bedding, and really bad pillows. Bed on the other hand was quite comfortable. Next time I would spend a little more and get a nicer place.

The hotel was clean, the beds & pillows were comfortable, it was nicely decorated and the staff was helpful and friendly. We had a nice view of Lake Mead. They accept pets and they don’t overcharge for them! There was ample parking for our truck & boat trailer. There’s also a path/trail that leaves right from the parking lot area. We didn’t have time to eat there, but I did get a cup of coffee and it was decent. We would definitely stay at the Hoover Dam Lodge again.

4th of July, 105 degrees. Pool is open until 11:00 they said. Turns out someone got stung by a bee so they shut the whole thing down. A bee! Went up the very short chain of command (pool manager not there, but casino manager seemed to like his power) only to be faced with idiocracy. Felt like we were at Wally World. Ice machines broken. Huge cricket in our room. Arcade is closed. Three elevators inoperable. The woman at the front desk gave us a little credit, which I appreciated. It’s clear that this place doesn’t give a s$i&.

As CEO of Vegas4Locals, I called for info for an article I'm writing about losing options in the area. I had the pleasure of speaking with Brittaney, who was exceptionally professional and helpful, truly exemplifying the company's high standards.

The hotel is dated but has a kind of entertaining retro vibe. The lobby and casino were super quiet (we were there on a weeknight). The restaurant dinner food was pretty good and the server was friendly (restaurant closed at 8 pm fyi). They gave us coffee vouchers because the rooms have no coffee machines, and we redeemed them at the gift shop. We needed to leave early so we got breakfast at the gift shop as well (restaurant opened at 8); the egg sandwiches and burritos are prepackaged but very large servings for inexpensive prices. Employees were very friendly. The view from the room was nice and overall the room was good, until a cricket started chirping at 2 pm and continued all night. We also heard crickets in the 10th floor hallway and elevator as we went to breakfast that morning (but not the evening before, and not in the lobby areas). One elevator was out of order. Overall everything was fine except for those crickets keeping us awake!

There was only 1 elevator that was working and it did not seem a priority to the hotel. We went on a holiday weekend and had to wait multiple times for the elevator. Our room was on the top floor so no we did not take the stairs. No working ice machines, had to get ice from the front office. The hot tub was a joke, the jets are basically positioned up and shoots water out of the spa, also the water seemed luke warm. There was stuff/garbage left in our room from prior occupants. Also there is smoking in the casino, I did not know that when we booked the room, but as soon as you walk in the entrance you can smell it. The rooms are average, nothing spectacular.

What a frustrating and unpleasant stay. We are glad we only stayed one night. If only one or two of these had happened, it might have been tolerable. Here was our stay: enter front desk lobby (ostensibly nonsmoking per NV law) and it reeks of smoke with several people actively smoking in the lobby (with hotel provided ashtrays), our second floor room looks out on a wall 6 ft away; when guests on 3rd floor shower, it sounds like a flood in our room, no ice machines due to "covid," wifi is so poor I have to use my cell phone hotspot (told it was because hotel was full of guests using all the wifi), the coffe shop got my order wrong, and instead of remaking it, they just added the missing ingredients and reheated it (and dried it out), and my bed had a cricket in it -- really, a live jumping cricket. The staff is overworked and really don't seem to care anymore. The only response we ever got was, "we're understaffed." Help out the cranky staff and stay away from this hotel.

I booked 2 nights May 20 and 21 as a new guest. I walked in and Barbara was the first person I encountered at the Hotel front desk. She was amazing, sweet, friendly and helpful. We checked in and went to Bourbon Street bar and Jill was tending bar and treated us like sisters!!! We really enjoyed her and the great customer service. Dinner Saturday night at the Cafe was excellent. I had the Rib Eye. Our server was wonderful. We enjoyed all day Sunday gambling and making friends with Stacie and Gabriel at the bar. What an amazing crew. I could not ask for a better company or bar tenders!!! Love you guys and thanks for the great time!! By Sunday night I had so much fun I booked an additional night. I just did not want to go home. Our room was very nice and had a lake view. Beds are nice, etc. Monday was a slow day for us and the machines were slower than the previous two nights. Enjoyed Biscuits and gravy for breakfast and again, just the best, friendly service. I would give 5 stars for rating my stay but I lost my ARSE playing at the casino. I tried everything and just could not hit. Oh well, the people were amazing and worth a come back trip. Without a doubt, this is the friendliest casino I have ever been to and they get 10 stars for customer service.

Room Tip: Pool was cold and in shade most of the day. Get a high floor room with view of Lake Mead.

Not a bad place, but a little frayed around the edges. Room was ok: not the worst nor the best we've stayed at. ALL of the ice machines in the hotel were broken - supposedly. One of our large bath towels had a BLOOD STAIN on it. The place looks like it's understaffed and under-maintained. Better alternatives - one bright spot, however, was the chef and servers in the restaurant. Kudos to them
