The Lava Water Accommodation The Lava Water accommodation is located on two places: At the farm Miðhraun 2 and at Lynghagi, both located in west Iceland, on the southern part of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. The farm Miðhraun is located right on the edge of a 3-4000 years old basalt lava landscape from the volcano Rauðakúla, which stands above the farm along a vast line of other scenic mountains making the farm a beautiful sight. The farm is an organic sheep farm, which also has horses and Icelandic chickens, contributing to the farm’s colorful atmosphere. Here you can relax and surround yourself with the sight and sound of the beautiful Icelandic countryside or take a trip around the Snæfellsnes peninsula with all its magical sights and experiences, such as the Snæfellsnes glacier, the Vatnshellir lava cave, the Lóndrangar basalt cliffs and the list goes on.

We stayed here for one night, 4 adults, 6 kids and one dog 😊 We stayed in the building called Grandma house and had a great time. So beautiful place and really amazing staff 😊 The kitchen was fully equipped and everything you would need for a comfortable stay is in the house.

Perfect for my husband and my 4 year old daughter. This was the best part of our stay and our last part of it as well. We were in the small yellow cottage. SUPER CUTE!! Loved the layout, check in was really easy. The house has a full kitchen, nice dining area, TV. Really cozy and comfortable. My daughter had fun playing in the back where there's a small stream. In the background you have ice caps and volcanic rock, waking up to those views and sheep. You felt isolated, but a great isolation. Really felt like a vacation. I loved the location where you can drive to main attractions and not too far. There was also a small playground for kids, but it was too cold outside we didn't have a chance to check it out. Thank you to the family who let us stay here. We loved loved loved it!!!

For a single traveller still as cheap as a hotel but house holds four. Great kitchen dining and lounge area. Two bedroom with two singles in each room so good for families and students. Don't forget for these types of locations to stock up on food, milk etc before as arriving. Balcony with seating for good local views. Also perfectly located to visit North or south snaefellness peninsula - recommended

this fully equipped apartment is ideally situated for taking day trips in every direction of the snaefellsnes peninsula. we were greeted by anna, our hostess, who is most friendly and helpful. the very clean space was both roomy and comfortable. looking all around the property offered beautiful views of the mountains and basalt formations. pricing is fair. a return visit is now in order for more exploring of this amazing country.

The place was great and one of the best we stayed in (6 different places in 6 nights). It appeared brand new with nice decor and everything you needed to cook dinner or do a load of wash (no dryer). It had a nice deck with a peaceful view. Very clean. Easy check in. Good location to begin a day around the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The sheep were out front in the morning. I would highly recommend. No cons for us to list.
