We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel has amazing mountain views so make sure you ask for a room with a view. There are 2 incredible hot tubs outside so take advantage of them. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is really over priced, even by Icelandic standards. The food was good but I didn't think...

I'm torn about what to write for this hotel - the rooms are fine and the staff is certainly friendly, but maybe they're lacking training or a manager who cares about the job of running a higher-end hotel. The problems started at minute one - during checkin - when we were told that our family couldn't have rooms together, but...

I have been to 4 out of the 5 Icelandair hotels, and each has its own personality and strengths. this one's strong-points were the service, the location, and most of all, the steaming hot hot-tubs! It was a wonderful experience to sit in the tub watching the aurora flash past. i've now seen the Aurora in 3 of 4 Icelandair...

It's a cool international looking and managed structure. Not bad but honestly rooms (at least mine) need a refresh. Bathroom was not in perfect condition like you would expect looking at the common areas. This told perfect stay, nice and kind staff, recommended.

Hotel located inside a golf course. Secluded. We saw the Northern Lights just outside our room! The staff went informing guests on sightings. Nice comfy room with 2 entrances. Nice views surrounding hotel. Highly recommends if you want out of the city hustle.

We stayed in a few hotels whilst touring Iceland and this was our last one before leaving. Shame we didn't find it first as it was by far the best. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room has its own door to the grounds, perfect for watching the northern lights. We had...

The hotel is very nice. Rooms a good size, bed comfortable, and staff helpful. But, what sets this hotel apart are the location, and the views from the rooms & hot tubs. They are located a few minutes north of Borgarnes town centre, and each room looks back towards a stunning mountain range.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on a GJ Travel Tour. I had read tripadvisor reviews before we left Australia but I was still pleasantly surprised. It is a very nice hotel. We stayed in early February (winter) and had 2 rooms. One had views of the golf course and mountains and the other had carpark views. Obviously...

It is a very good hotel to have a good rest on the round the island trip. I took it because it is branded. The room, area and everything is good without any trouble/disappointment. A good choice although it is a bit expensive. But all hotels are expensive in iceland anyway.

Borgarnes is really close to Reykjavik (approx. 1 hour drive) and is also good starting point to explore various sights (Langjökull glacier, Snaefelsnes peninsula, whale watching). Since our stay here was at the end of our Iceland trip (we drove around the whole country), the main reason for us to come here was the comfort (spacious, clean and modern rooms;...
