My wife and I stayed here one night. After a busy day of travelling from the west, we arrived mid-afternoon and were efficiently checked in to this very modern hotel by a very friendly receptionist. She explained things about the hotel, including the various lounges (including one with a bar that uses the 'honor system', which was wonderful (1) to...

Rooms are clean and functional. It's location next to the geothermal power plant, Blue Lagoon and nearby roads make it not a good location to see the Northern Lights. The facility setup is also not all that great to see the Northern Lights. The only feather is a glassed in viewing room on the second floor. Our room's window looked...

On the first clear night since our arrival in Iceland , we drove late into the night to reach this hotel and were blessed with our first sighting of the Aurora Borealis. magic and unforgettable. We stayed here twice in 2 weeks, in order to be close to the airport and the Blue Lagoon. Hotel is clean, charming and cozy. The living room area is extremely comfortable, with lots of chairs and a large fireplace. They even put out marshmallows and skewers one night in front of the fireplace. Loved the honesty bar! The rooms...

Really enjoyed our experience at the Northern Lights Inn. Friendly and hospitable service was greatly appreciated, rooms were exceedingly comfortable and clean, food delicious - both dinner and breakfast. Received a wake-up call that the aurora had begun - and what a marvelous way to end our trip with the magical northern lights!!! Several wonderful areas on property to relax,...

Nice Island style Hotel in close proximity to the Blue Lagoon. Very clean rooms and friendly personnel. Beautiful location in the middle of a lava field with pick up service from and to the airport and to the Blue Lagoon.

Stayed here for our last night as was next to the blue lagoon and close to the airport. All staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Rooms are very spacious and comfy. And dinner and breakfast was delicious. Would recommend staying here.

This was the best hotel we stayed in while in Iceland. Spacious rooms, large comfy bed with down quilts & a powerful shower. Loved the sitting room with its welcoming sofas, chairs & fire. The Northern Lights Hotel was perfect for our single night’s stay during a layover between international flights. We really were not in the mood for the Blue Lagoon, although we could perfectly well have gone in the hotel’s shuttle service. We opted for a restful dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was excellent. The rooms were nice and roomy and...
