We spent 4 nights in the hotel and it passed the test with flying colours. Much is made of the location, right next to a large geothermal plant, and there's no doubt it is very unusual. That said, it doesn't impact negatively apart from looking rather unsightly, but the plant is central to the success of the area and provides...

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They got free shuttle service to blue lagoon a and they fetch us to catch our bus. The room is clean, big enough for 4 of us. From the room window, we saw nothern lights. Wifi functioning well.

We spent our final night in Iceland here. We arrived slightly early and our room wasn't ready so we went for lunch in the restaurant. The chef was still setting up the restaurant but she was so lovely! Her accent didn't sound Icelandic, not sure where she is from. Loved her though, she was so attentive and made sure we...

My wife and I only stayed for 1 night, our last in Iceland, as part of an 11-night self drive tour booked through Discover the World. I would have liked to stay for longer as it is an excellent hotel with great communal areas that are well set out with very comfy sofas. We dined in the restaurant and the...

I stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel pick you up from the airport which is great. Room was clean and spacious with flat screen satellite tv. The hotel is in the middle of a large lava field so it feels like you are staying on the moon! Lava as far as the eye can see. Don't be put off by...

Our flight landed at KEF very early on a Sunday morning. We'd wanted to go to the harbor as we'd heard there was a good cafe for breakfast, but it wasn't open yet, so I called the hotel and asked if we could come in for breakfast even though we weren't guests. They said it was no problem, so into...

It was nice to be picked up at the airport at 6am! We were also very lucky to be able to check in early to take a rest before exploring. Then around 3 we shuttled over to the Blue Lagoon, the shuttle picked us up 3 hours later. Wonderful beds and great rest that night. The dining room is great...

Dear Laramie_7 Thank you for your nice words and for pointing out the benefits that come with our accommodation. It is sometime difficult for us to explain that the cost of a taxi fair (one way) from the airport to us is around ISK 8,000 but we offer complimentary shuttle. We are very happy to hear that you did enjoy...

The rooms, staff, food, and overall experience were great at the Northern Light Inn. Clean and comfortable, the cleanliness of the bed & bath rooms and comfort of the beds and linens deserve special attention. We enjoyed immediate proximity to great walking trails (3-4 mile loops). As with many places in Iceland, the geo-thermal plant is lighted in pink at...
