Okay, so maybe the review title is a little harsh but we'd spent a week travelling around and this was the fifth hotel we stayed in. Also the first one that was brilliant all round. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, as were the restaurant staff. The hotel room was large and airy as well as being fresh and...

We were sure we weren't in the right place. First, there were no signs on the hotel. (They were preparing to remodel the reception area.) Second, there appeared to be a large industrial plant next door that turned out to be the Blue Lagoon - the natural hot springs! Finally, the road wasn't even paved! Oh and the slight sulfur...

It's all about convenience. This hotel is perfectly fine - the breakfast (included) was one of the better ones we had while in Iceland, and it's convenience to the airport in Keflavik as well as the Blue Lagoon are what make a very good choice for either a first night or a last night for your stay in Iceland. The...

We stayed one night in the Northern Light Inn and had a very relaxing time. Sven picked us up from the airport which was a great (and free) service. When we got to the hotel there was no power as they are undergoing construction and the builders had cut through a power cable! But it wasn't a big deal and...

I was a bit concerned when we arrived and it was next to a geothermal station and the smell....eek! But things only got better. We received a warm welcome and were shown around. There is a computer to check emails/print boarding passes, two lounge areas to relax in and/or play games and chess and a viewing platform Upstairs to watch...

We just stayed for a week while on a business trip and the inn was a great place to stay. We were on a film shoot, so had lots of gear, kept odd times etc, but the staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. I would definitely return and also recommend this to any one

Way out of the way. I had corresponded with staff in the summer and mentioned that on our flight day wanted to take the bus into town and then be able to head to airport at 2pm. Was told not an issue, - Again I will say that I did correspond with the Inn to ensure that Reykjavik would not...

After staying at the Northern Light Inn, I was a bit shocked to see some of the reviews here. Granted everyone is entitled to their opinions, so to each his own. However, I found the inn to be quite charming. I chose to stay there on my last night before heading back to the states. Upon arrival I was greeted...

We stayed here for the last night of our Iceland trip thinking that it would be nicer to be in the countryside than in Reykjavik. What a big mistake.
