Hestheimar was beautiful. I stayed here at the beginning of September with two of my friends in the Guest House. The rooms were clean and bathrooms spacious. We even had a view of horses out of our bedroom window! We only stayed one night, but the highlight of our stay was our 2 hour horse ride! The horses were friendly,...

Marvelous view, warm and cozy, kitchen with everything you may need. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk available in the fridge. These cottages are in the middle of a riding farm - so if you like Iceland-Horses, this will be a wonderful place. Very tidy, clean and perfectly equiped

There were 4 of us in our party, and were greatly surprised with an entire house of our own for 2 nights! The house was situated up on a hill, and talk about the view! Wow! Breakfast was great, fresh pancakes, eggs, bread, along with Skyr and cold cuts. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. The horses came...

We stayed at Hestheimar for two nights and we thought it will be one of our greatest stays but it worked out bad. We arrived by car, directly from Reykjavik which you really can make in 2 hours. The house looks pretty great and we met really nice staff which was working all day long. The cooking was okay but...

Beautiful place in South Iceland. We arrived late evening after a big tour. The receptionist was super kind and available for any kind of suggestions! Our room, even if was with shared toilets, was super cozy, clean, greate atmosphere... And due we were here for our honey moon, they gave us a basket with wine, chocolate and candy! The dinner...

Our second night in Iceland was at Hestheimar. Great service, they even managed to wash & dry our very wet clothes before we left the next morning. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom was big as well. An unexpected pleasure was the hot spring fed tub at the back of the guesthouse. We had it to ourselves while watching the...

The hotel is located in an incredibly beautiful natural surrounding. The rooms are furnished fondly with lovely details. Staff was exceptionally nice and very attentive. They explained everything, even prepared an extra side dish suitable for my allergy. Breakfast had great variety. As soon as you enter the hotel you feel like being in someone's home, they have slippers for...

We stayed in the apartment adjoining the stable. What a wonderful, peaceful location! Staff was friendly and helpful--gave us a tip for a beautiful nearby waterfall. Both dinner and breakfast were DELICIOUS and served in a charming kitchen/dining area. Wish we could have stayed longer. Nice horses, kittens and assorted other farm animals. Great experience!

I really dislike writing negative reviews, and I don't take doing so lightly, but our stay at Hestheimar was the biggest letdown of our otherwise wonderful visit to Iceland. We booked a cottage a few months in advance, and it was to be one of the highlights of our nine-day trip -- beautiful views, lots of privacy, a little kitchen,...

Hello, Please accept our deepest apologies! I will check with my Team what has happened,it looks like several errors in a row which made this outcome. I can very well understand your disappointment. We stayed in the cottages, not the actual guesthouse. This granted us more privacy and made for a really great view. Unfortunately we were there only one night, but we enjoyed very minute of it. Breakfast was included and it was one of the best on our whole trip through Iceland.
