We were looking for a campsite around the Hella area and we were not very happy with the opinions on internet (it was very windy and cold and our priority was a campsite with common sheltered area). We couldn't have made a better choice.

This small country hotel is a gem! The couple who own and operate the hotel, also serve as the farmers and the chef. Great food. Close to valley with a spectacular view of Eyjafjallajökul. All the staff were wonderful, friendly, and aimed to please.

In Iceland on the countryside it is always better to have your own shampoo and other things like that; you can buy almost everything at gas stations, but the hotels are clean, simple.... but very simple!
