This was our first hotel on the ring road on our second day in Iceland. I've never stayed anywhere like this. Hotel Anna is a cute quaint cozy guesthouse set in a tranquil serene setting in the countryside. We loved that several small waterfalls were within walking distance. And since we barely ran into anyone while strolling by the waterfalls...

We booked 3 rooms for our group of 6 adults. Location is great but we arrived just around 10 PM and the door was locked. Rang the bell a few times and finally someone answered and asked us what time it was. Surprised, I answered 10 and she said they close at 9 PM. But after I explained that we...

Hotel Anna is a comfortable stop in a tiny village just off the Ring Road in the south of Iceland. The rooms are nicely (if slightly kitschy) decorated, the lobby is quaint and pleasant and the staff are helpful. We stayed only one night but were perfectly happy.

We arrived here late, after a white-knuckle drive in an early September gale. It took a couple of phone calls to actually find the hotel (it was 65 km farther along the road than our gps indicated). The hotel was warm and welcoming and the restaurant was still open although it was supposed to have closed at 8.30. The food was...

Quaint B&B with only seven rooms in a good location just off the Ring Road. The decor in the bedroom is in keeping with the quaint vibe, but there was TV and Wifi in our room. The mattress in the bed was very soft. The rooms are quite expensive (even by Icelandic standards). The restaurant is very nice with good...

This is a quirky "hotel" but it was comfortable and fun. It consists of seven rooms for guests. We had a upstairs room with some odd angles, but since we weren't in the room other than to sleep the size of the room was not an inconvenience. However, the walls are thin and we could hear the guests in the...

One of the best things about hotel Anna is the sweet and helpful woman at the front desk, Darota (sp?) she's Polish so we probably aren't spelling her name correct. She gave us great tips on the surrounding area. We stayed here two nights, took the ferry to Haimeay ( great volcano museum and super cute town) and also on...

Nice little seven room guesthouse. Clean, nicely furnished room. Excellent and amiable staff. Dinner in their restaurant was surprisingly good ... we were not expecting this level of gourmet meals in such a small, country town. They are extremely environmentally and sustainability conscious and make an extra effort to locally source as many ingredients as possible (both land and sea)....

Stayed here one night. Great location just off the ring road. Room was on ground floor but as there were few guests we didn't get the noise from the rooms above. Dinner was fine - not a great choice, 3 meals, meat, fish or veggie - but it was tasty. Breakfast was lovely with bacon and scrambled egg along with...
