One of our favourite guesthouses. Super comfortable room with lots of amenities, great views, lovely hosts. We slept like babies. Don't miss dinner: for us this was the best meal out of a 2 week roadtrip around Iceland. Every dish was so fresh, tasty and interesting, not to mention plentiful. We had the horse steak (yum), the artic char (wow)...

We are a family of four. Our accommodations were two persons in each room, next to each other (#16 & #17). These rooms were large, clean, spacious with a walk-out deck facing the water. By far, this has been officially added to our "favorite" list. Wish we had spent an extra night here and maybe taken in a horseback tour....

This was by far the best hotel we stayed in on our tour round Iceland. Incredible views, so peaceful, friendliest welcome, lovely staff, comfortable chalets, best dinner, best breakfast. Would definitely recommend this one. Close to Hofsos where there is a geothermal pool with stunning views.

Situated on Skagafjordur fjord in northern Iceland, this is an excellent small cabin-style guesthouse. The guesthouse is new and the rooms are very modern and well appointed, with views overlooking the valley and fjord and herds of Icelandic ponies. However, we found that the sink in the bathroom as too small to fill the kettle in the room. The food...

It was a wonderful experience to stay in this remote location for one night. Its in a gorgeous valley full of horses and the hotel rooms look down onto the Fiord. The rooms are well situated to have a gorgeous view with a small deck off each room....watching the midnight sun from our room was very special. They have a...

This was a highlight of our trip around Iceland. The rooms were nice, but not a lot of outlets for the electronics to charge. The bathroom was a sink/toilet/shower combo with a squeegee to move the water around. This was not important. Go for the dinner (make reservations by noon, seriously, we were advised to do that, and the advice...

The food was amazing, the view beautiful- yet lonely. I left my coat in the closet, and did not realize it until we were close to Reykjavik. I called the guesthouse, and a family member was heading into the city later in the day. Around 2100, I got a call that my coat was at the front desk of our...

My wife and I stayed four nights in this incredible landscape. The rooms are very nice but all that matters is the view from your window. The food is incredible as is the service. I really enjoyed the people as well. Rosa, I think her name was, took the time to tell us everything from where to sight see to...

This location is very special with really stunning views in a remote and quiet location. The hosts/owners were very gracious and the food for dinner was excellent. My only caution is to book your reservation early and be very specific about the room you want - they vary widely! We had a truly tiny room - just big enough to...
