I come from castelli romani but since 10 years I have lived abroad Italy. I always come back here when I go to my own place. Hotel is simply nice in a relaxing place. I strongly suggest tourist coming in Rome for one week to stop here and spend 2 days in castelli romani. Needless to say that restaurant around...

We stayed here for the last few days of our honeymoon in August 2014. I can't put into words how special this place was to us. We had just spent 6 days exploring Rome City, so we were tired and in need of a relax before we went home. As soon as we arrived we realised we had made the...

I spent a fantastic week at this hotel in August 2016. This hotel is beyond tranquil. The views are stunning. The gardens are beautiful, peaceful and secluded. There is a private sunbathing area with beds down near the lake, and private steps down to the lake if you fancy getting in. The staff are preposterously nice. Whether on the veranda...

First, if you're ever traveling Ciampino Airport, I would strongly encourage you to ditch Rome for a day to stay in Castel Gandolfo. It's such a beautiful lake community with tons of great restaurants and friendly people. Second, if you do decide to stay in Castel Gandolfo, stay on the water at a beautiful place like Hotel la Culla del...

We stayed at Hotel la Culla del Lago for the first four nights of our honeymoon and it was the perfect spot. We wanted somewhere restful, romantic, charming, comfortable, and convenient and that's exactly what we got. The setting and the service were just outstanding. Georgio is a wonderful host who obviously cares very much about doing everything he can...

almost two years ago we spent one night at the hotel on our way to Rome. What a beautiful gem it is, laying on the lake, true to its name, with quaint little rooms, beautiful setting amidst the woods and surrounded by a carefully nurtured flower garden. We received a great recommendation by hotel owner for an amazing restaurant. Glad...

My husband and I spent 5 days here in 2011. A hotel in a beautiful setting, very friendly and hospitable owners. We were practically the only guests at the time and it felt as if we had the villa, the gardens and the lake to ourselves. We were offered lunch on a couple of days, no real menu, we were...

We arrived at this hotel and as it was out of season the host upgraded our room so we had a lake view at no extra cost. Another nice gesture was to sit in the garden and be asked if we would like a drink and biscuits on arrival another nice experience after driving from Florence. The hotel is situated...

We stumbled across Culla del Lago accidentally but were blown away by the surroundings. Private access to the crystal clear waters of the lake, where you can swim or just take in the view. The gardens are lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. Without your own transport it would be a little tough to get to and the nearest...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Absolute relaxation... just as absolute is the tranquility that surrounds this resort, built in an area which for centuries has been the summer home of the Pope. Spend the day reading a pleasant book under the shadow of century old plants and trees while enjoying a cocktail. After enjoying the warm sun lying on our private beach you may then take refreshing swim in the lake. For those who enjoy outside activities, do not fear. From the hotel you can easily reach the jogging and mountain-bike tracks. An excellent choice for a relaxing holiday full of sport and culture... ... more   less

“We had a room with a small terrace, faced the lake. Nice and clean and bright, and decorated in light colours, more recently decorated than some others at the time.”

“Very quiet tranquil place,,lake view beautiful and grounds worth the trip if you want to unwind after visiting Rome,Florence ,Venice etc . If you are handing a car back at the airport allow plenty of time to drive the Appia Rd as it is very congested in the mornings due to work traffic......a 30 min drive can take 1 hr 30 mins but driving around the lake during your stay is perfecto.”
