We had such a great experience at the Parkside. David was an amazing host - I spoke with him by phone and email several times in advance of our visit and he could not have been more helpful. He went out of his way to make our stay easier, and was an incredibly gracious host. We stayed in the Cambridge...

Charming book-lined rooms (especially books on architecture and gardens), warm welcome, great location near Fogg Museum and Cambridge Public Library (where there is free internet, comfortable places to read, and a nice lawn in front). Near Harvard Square but out of the bustle.

Our family stayed for three nights in August in the Victorian and Scholar's room. David helped enormously by giving us a parking permit for our car (which we didn't use at all while we were in Cambridge) and with general advice. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we could want in them. I definitely preferred the Victorian room as...

I spent three nights in the Scholar room at Parkside on Ellery early in October. I had read earlier reviews and was looking forward to the experience, but I wasn't prepared for the beauty and thoughtful touches that surrounded me on all fronts. The house itself is engulfed in a glorious hidden garden (landscaped by David, the owner/host) and my...

Stayed for 2 nights in their "Scholar's Retreat" basement room. Very comfortable. Nice breakfast. Walking distance to Harvard and Harvard Square. The room needed a dehumidifier which was a bit noisy, but which could be turned off. Host nice and helpful. Price reasonable for Cambridge, especially in this location.

We were thrilled to be able to take in much of Cambridge within an easy walking distance. David was a perfect host and gave us some great tips for dining and for how to manage the limited parking. Parking turned out to be a complete non-issue at no cost!

My husband and I were moving our daughter into her new apartment nearby. Our room was very comfortable, clean, spacious and very homey. It was a hot weekend, and we happily slept very well in our cool room and comfy bed. David was very gracious and warm. Our breakfasts were so nice. Wake up and open your door to a...

Our stay here was perfect. David is very particular about details which made for a really comfortable, super clean room (The Victorian). Some of the reviews mentioned breakfast. We found the breakfast to be personalized and very good and enjoyed eating it in our room while in our pajamas. Perfect location for walking to Harvard and the river. Would definitely...

I stayed 4 nights in the Victorian room and enjoyed it very much. The bed was comfortable, the room beautifully decorated and the bathroom well equipped. WiFi worked fine. The breakfast was perfect for me and my dietary needs were taken in to account. I hope to return!
