This was a last minute booking. I had one night to stay in Cambridge to visit my daughter. Location is perfect, clean, friendly staff, charming hotel and very comfortable. Room was small, but it stated that in reservation. I will be back for sure!

very close to the subway, ie no more than a 2 block walk. the hotel is about 2.5 miles from copley sq. we have walked from the hotel to the Charles (by MIT) to see the skyscrape, but did not walk across the bridge....

If your visit is to enjoy walking in Boston vs Cambridge, I would opt for a different hotel(though we loved the Veritas)
