We stayed at the Mary Prentiss over the Christmas weekend of 2016 to visit our daughter who stayed there when she first came to Cambridge and loved it. We also loved this gorgeous , well-kept mansion on a quiet street just off the very busy main street, Mass. Ave. It was especially beautiful when decorated for Christmas. Our room had...

Several members of our family have gathered for the Thanksgiving holiday over the last three years at the inn. We've always enjoyed great hospitality and delicious breakfasts. The rooms are charming and comfortable. We hope to return next year.

We stayed many times at the Mary Prentiss Inn - the location is awesome and super convenient, the building is old but very charming, and the breakfast is decent. However, staff is definitely not as friendly, as engaged and as caring as it used to be. The owners haven't been around and our late-night checking was a disaster (we had...

OK, first of all, the review about the "rude check in person" could not have been further from our experience. I interacted with two front desk people and NICE as nice can be. Falling over themselves nice. Second - extremely quiet. Right next to Massachusetts Ave but silent. Even on New Year's Eve for God's sake. Third, incredibly good hot...

This lovely inn is in a perfect location, 10 minutes walk to Harvard Square and its abundance of world class museums. My bedroom (#3)was beautifully appointed with a mini kitchen, clean bathroom, big screen TV but most importantly good reading lights on both sides of the bed. Fast wifi enabled me to complete my work. Breakfast, served in the fire...

Right off Mass Ave and a few blocks from Porter Square T station, this is a warm B and B of a dozen big rooms. Breakfast is choice of a daily hot special or continental featuring just delicious granola and Greek yogurt. I'd stay there just for the granola.

A few weeks ago, I had the incredible privilege of spending one Sunday night at the Mary Prentiss Inn. From my first entry to the beautiful and elegant lobby, I felt welcomed. I was told that I had to go outside in the back to get to my room. When I opened the door to the back, I entered a...

I was so upset after our stay that I emailed the owners based on an address provided on the website, but I have yet to receive a response. I could write a book, but I will try to sum this up: When we arrived roughly one hour before check in time, we walked into the lobby, hoping to obtain more...

We enjoyed it. 5 minute walk from Parker Sq Station (red line) & 10-15 min walk from Harvard campus. Plenty of restaurants up and down nearby Mass. Ave. Comfortable beds, microwave, mini-fridge, complimentary breakfast, quaint rooms and decor. Quiet neighborhood. Built in 1843. Rates seemed pretty reasonable, compared to similar accommodations in the area.
