#1 of 5 hotels in Badesi
Travellers' Choice
Le Dune is one of the best family hotels in Northern Sardinia. Located in Badesi, a seaside town on the Gulf of Asinara, it overlooks the 8 km long beach of Li Junchi and offers five 4-star hotels, two of which are 4-star superior, each with a swimming pool, bar and reception. What makes the Resort really stand out is what it offers for the little ones: a nursery with bottle preparation area, the Duneland Castle with children's restaurant, the Fantasy Village, Fort Crock and the organic vegetable garden with chicken coop so that children can learn about Nature as they play. As well as the ten restaurants, six swimming pools (one of which is dedicated to children) and the Le Sabine Wellness Centre & SPA, there are numerous free sports activities for guests of all ages. Also available is a beach service with sun loungers, plenty of water activities including catamaran sailing, surfing and windsurfing and exciting excursions by sea and by land departing every day from the Resort.

Excellent service. We spent here 9 days and was a very nice holiday. The resort is comfortable, with 3 pools, private beach, different restaurants and a relaxing SPA. The staff was very kind, fullfilling all our requests at front desk, at restaurants, at the miniclub. The food was excellent in some restaurants and, at least, very good in all the other. The room was clean and quite. We met many people that are regular guests, and after our holiday I can understand them!

This is our first trip with kids aged 4 and 5. We picked the hotel due to the choice of amenities and we weren’t let down. We enjoyed the two main pools and the beach was great. Lots of sunloungers for all but given the hotel wasn’t at full capacity due to Covid, I imagine it could get busy in August typically. Pros: lovely staff, nice setting, kids club seemed amazing (but didn’t use), great set up for kids with evening entertainment. Warm water, super clean everywhere Cons: food was a bit samey and nothing special. Service was hit and miss, mainly self serve so felt impersonal. Breakfast was dull but it was nice to move around to different places included in the package. Room was nice and spacious (I Genipri family suite had a room with separate living room for the kids) but our room was super noisy due to the road and dogs barking all night beyond the hotel. Ok if you usually shut the window and use aircon (which we prefer not to). We would contemplate coming back but in a different room.

We stayed 9 days, end July 2020, in Ginepri hotel, half pension. 2 families with kids. For dinner, there are 5 restaurants with no extra charge and couple of restaurant with charge (we did not go to them). The 5 ones included wine and water at no cost. The reception pre-reserved them for us - you can of course change as you wish. Carimbanca: Sardinian specialty, the best restaurant by far. The other 4 in our preference order: Pomodoro (Italian) - 2nd best; La Spiaggia (italian/fish) and Nautilus (fish) good quality both; Li Junchi (pizzeria-here you also had beer included) - we did not enjoy it so much but appetizers were good. All in all, dinner restaurants had enough food and GOOD quality. Due to coronavirus, you had to approach the buffet and ask them what to put on plate - it was really ok, and there were never cues and they will put as much as you want in the plate. The white wine was good. The service was great. Lunch : at the beach restaurant - buffet or a la carte (though not so many choices). It costs 26 per adult and 13 for kids. Also you can have sandwich/salads at the bars inside resort. Breakfast: we believe it was medium quality, matters can be improved, though of course there are choices. It had one chef cooking eggs but service was slow (was cooking on regular pans on electric stoves). It was missing some vegetables and more cereals needed. It did have fruits and pastry and some cold cuts. Compared to dinner, this was not same good quality. There were 2 main pools open. The one near Ginepri is big and not a lot of people, suitable for kids and adults (max was 2.8m and min 0.9m). We enjoyed this pool a lot due to shadow. The other one is in center of resort mainly for adults due to high water level but has also a small kids area. There was included tennis, archery, yoga, etc. A minicart would help to go back and forth from beach, a 45 seconds ride instead of 5min walking. Beach was free from 3rd row. It was quite steep into water, you had to walk 200m for better entrance. Wifi only in some areas - nowadays wifi should be everywhere. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful.

Holiday with daughter, son in law and three children. Something for all ages here and restaurants with well cooked food and wonderful service especially at breakfast. Lovely accommodation in a natural setting, activities for all ages, entertainment that was enjoyable but never intrusive, interesting shops and a pharmacy and a spa that offered a good range of treatments..
