Absolutely beautiful Sardinian food, cooked authentically, presented traditionally, priced honestly. We had the tuna steak, the Gulurgiones and the porchetta (roast suckling pig), among other things. It was all completely delicious. And the service was polite and charming. Thoroughly recommend.

A well located hotel close to the local beaches (which are very clean, little fishes within meters of the beach) and views of the stunning coastline, excellent breakfast (particularly the omelette) and dinner served with good local wine

Just returned from our week-long stay in Sardinia, and we were so happy to have booked this hotel. We were welcomed warmly and shown to our good-sized and clean room. The location is ideal, right next to the beach; we paid 10euros per day to hire 2 sun beds and an umbrella. If you just want a parasol they will gladly offer you one free of charge. The owner is totally dedicated to ensuring a high quality experience for every guest; he is clearly very professional, attentive and hard working. He makes everybody feel welcome by speaking so many languages fluently. The staff mirror his dedication; they are all friendly, welcoming and hardworking. The outdoor restaurant with view of the beach is a real highlight - the most delicious food we found in Cala Gonone. Specials include locally and freshly caught fish, and an espresso and gelato desert made in front of us - nowhere else we visited could compare. Breakfast buffet was also excellent with a very wide selection; omelettes and scrambled made freshly infront of you on request, nothing is too much trouble. Thankyou to all the welcoming and hardworking staff for such a fantastic stay.

Charming hotel overlooking the bay has a vine-clad terrace, lovely gardens and a boat for excursions. Public car park next door, reasonable tariff. The breakfasts are some of the best we have experienced locally. Hotel has its mini beach section. Its location also ensures peace and relative quiet as it is situated at the end of the sea-front road. Bedroom was tip-top, nicely furnished and very comfortable bed ensuring deep sleep. If you have reef shoes, wear them the sand is pebbly and the water has a lot of rocks.

My fiancée and I have just returned from a fabulous week at the Costa Dorada. It certainly is the prettiest hotel in Cala Gonone and we throughly enjoyed everything about our stay. The room was perfectly adequate (including a fridge and aircon) and the staff were very friendly, professional and helpful and helped us to book an amazing boat trip and also a fun tuk-tuk ride to an wonderful local agiturismo (Condula Fuili). We were B&B board and loved the fresh and tasty local spread each morning including bread, meats, hams, cheeses, salmon and fruit. And had the tastiest made-to-order omelettes we’ve ever had!! The location of the hotel is perfect, and has it’s own patch of beach with sunbeds and umbrellas you can hire for a small daily charge. There is also a public car park right next door (EUR6 per day). Cala Gonone is a perfect base for a week’s holiday as we got to travel (by hire car) to different (more secluded) beaches each day then return to Cala Gonone for our evening meal and stroll. We’ve loved our holiday and we were very lucky to have had beautiful weather and meet lots of lovely and good fun locals. Highly recommended!!
