I loved this hotel, largely because I loved my room. I had the orange room with the four poster bed. It's fab. What the website doesn't show too well is the amazing private terrace area which is accessed through french doors from the room. It has a table and chairs and a sofa (I wished they'd had cushions on them!)... More

This is a lovely hotel sitting in the center of the palazzo. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, bathroom has shower nice toiletries and big towels. We were in room 7 which had a walk out balcony. This is very convenient for visiting vineyards. When we return to Montefalco next year we will stay here. btw: parking is free but several blocks away.... More

I couldn't find a review for the restaurant, only the hotel (which I stayed in) but truly the food and gracious service was wonderful ! I sat outside, overlooking the beautiful square. And was well looked after by Paolo and chef Pasqualino. (Apparently they have taken a lease from the hotel). Portions aren't large, but they are very tasty. I... More

We stayed in the Palazzo Bontadosi for two nights in April as part of a cycling tour of Umbria. Montefalco is a beautiful hill-top town, and the hotel has a perfect location in the centre "square". Our room was very large, had a very nice bathroom with a walk-in shower, but in addition there was a stand-alone bath-tub in the... More

Superbly situated on the main square. Modern elegance in a medieval building. Four days were not quite enough to be able to visit Montefalco and its surroundings (Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Orvieto, Spello are all within easy reach, with the beauty of returning to a quiet town after a day touring). And in Montefalco itself the splendid Benozzo Gozzoli paintings in... More

Stayed for 3 nights, booked via Mr & Mrs Smith. Some of the information on the Mr & Mrs Smith website, and indeed the hotel website is a little inaccurate, which I have reported to Mr & Mrs Smith, and they seem to be dealing with things to resolve the issues. Overall we had a lovely stay, and, should we... More

Located right in the centre of Montefalco it is an ancient building converted in hotel. All rooms are quite modern except the room no. 1: it was the old library and it has frescos everywhere, the bed is placed in the middle, sleeping there is amazing! A real jump back to the past! It worth to experience!

What a find! faaabulous gem of a hotel. Service was fantastic. Sweeping views from the hotel balcony. The hotel restaurant served smashing food to die for. Our only complaint was the bathroom was very small. I just wish we could have stayed longer. Just make sure you ask where the car park is otherwise you will get a parking ticket... More

The hotel is really pretty. The room we stayed in was amazingly painted in a fresco like style. The service was very good and the restaurant at the hotel was very good as well. The hotel is situated at the plaza of the town of Montefalco, a very small town in Umbria, Italy. It is a walled medieval mini city,... More

Dear Mr Jacobo, you are absolutely right, Montefalco is a small town, but people come here because it is small! and quiet, peaceful.
