Soreda Hotel is celebrated for its friendly staff and clean premises, with daily housekeeping keeping rooms and pool areas tidy, enhancing the guest experience. The hotel is well-located, offering proximity to nightlife and attractions, though some guests find the area noisy. While the amenities, including multiple pools, are a hit, they can get crowded and might need some upkeep. The vibrant live entertainment adds to the hotel's lively atmosphere, but the outdated decor and noise can be a downside. Room opinions vary, with guests finding them spacious but occasionally dated.

We stayed at this hotel for three weeks and first impressions was what have we done, the hotel is dated but I would like to think it has got Maltese influences,We had a room in the quadrangle where the outside pool is, if you get this room 203 get it changed because it echoes the noise especially at the weekend when all the Maltese descend on the hotel with children running and screaming. Don't try for Sunday dinner this is Maltese day and they take over the dining room, you have been warned, we went out for Sunday dinner for 10 euros it was worth it, the rooms are kept cleaned and towels changed every day, one tip, bring your own hairdryer, theirs are hopeless. The swimming pool on the roof is a nice touch plenty of beds but it was Feb, the weather made the holiday and so did the staff who go out of the way to make sure you are ok. The hotel is near the bus station and a street that takes you to the promenade, but beware there is a lot of building going on, we counted 9 overhead cranes but you do get used to them, there is a lot of litter and dog poo, just be careful where you walk. Food ok, everything is steamed to keep warm and tends to go mushy but they do the best cappuccino ever had. All in all the hotel grew on me over the three weeks and I would go back for a winter break, the only thing that was missing was hand sanitizer in the restaurant, I did ask for it and it was provided in the restaurant and reception.

got back from the Soreda hotel on Monday after having a week their to celebrate my 50th Birthday, to be honest i do not know where the good reviews are coming from as i would not say that the hotel is a 4 star hotel.
on arriving at the hotel had a to wait a long time to be seen as the Italian students who were at the hotel just kept on pushing in the queue and the reception staff would serve those first even though they saw is standing waiting to be booked in.
I will list the good and bad things about the hotel separately.

GOOD THINGS.
Size of the rooms are good

Staff are nice and friendly and polite

Roof top Pool nice and warm and has sea water in it.

They had plastic shields to cover the food area so people did not help themselves to food, staff behind the counter served you food.

Snacks at the roof top bar were a good option as if it were not for that i think i would of starved the whole holiday, " and i am not a fussy eater"

BAD THINGS.
Not a good Food Selection at evening meals " Chips every night" even though it had different names tags for them.

Shower in bath is in a awkward place and could not really have a good shower without getting a lot of water on the floor.

Allowing Dogs in restaurant i thought was very Unhygienic and noisy.

Allowing dogs up by the pool as the people who owned the dogs did not abide by the rules about not allowing dogs in the pool.

All-inclusive was not really All-inclusive as if you had gone for breakfast early you did not have a chance to get a drink until 11am unless you paid for it.

Location if you looked over the roof top or even our room 228 it looked as if you were in a war torn country with all the building works going on around the hotel.

Being asked to leave the Pool that is in the middle of the hotel due to someone having a hen party of 6 women and 1 child.

not having any order in the main restaurant, ie: not having anything in place so that people that queued and not a free for all like all the students and foreign adults were doing and seemed to think it was ok to do, my partner is disabled was stood waiting to be served suddenly surrounded by 30 students who pushed in and my partner coming back to table saying she is not having anything to eat.
so i had gone up and done the same to them and pushed in to get my partners meals for her.

All-inclusive ending at 1pm the day you leave, i feel that you should be able to use it until the time you leave as you have already paid for that privilege.

Very apprehensive going on holiday during this pandemic but the hotel and staff are trying hard to make it a pleasant, safe stay. The pool bar and restaurant staff are particularly friendly. The temperature was taken of anyone entering the hotel and there was sanitiser everywhere. Tables in the dining room are spaced out. The food is lovely, particularly at the pool bar but AI is a bit different as you have to be served your food instead of helping yourself. All new to the staff who are trying to do their best. Only the roof top pool is open throughout the day, at the moment, and this can get busy when the hotel reserves sun beds for day visitors and social distancing is forgotten. There is also only entertainment on a Saturday for the Maltese visitors which was disappointing.
The room was a good size with a fridge, hairdrier, TV and air conditioning. It was also cleaned every day.
The hotel is a short walk to the sea front and the bus station.

Dear Esteemed Guests' We would like to thank you for your review. At this moment in time we are doing all our best to keep on providing the best service to all our clients. The pandemic has limited us in many ways but we ensure that all our Staff is well trained to give a safe service. Regarding the pool and sunbed reservation, we would like to point out that no more sunbed reservation is being made and the place is limited to a smaller number of Guests around the pool. Other sun bathing areas are open which are also close to the pool but in a safer way.

Had a fantastic stay at the Soreda for 3 weeks in January, the Hotel is spotlessly clean and the cleaning is to a high standard, rooms were comfortable with plenty of space and above all had temp controlled heating system, having been on many cruise ships the standard, quality and presentation of the food excels most cruise ships I’ve been on.
The Hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the Hotel provides some great entertainment throughout the week that everybody takes part in.
All In all and excellent 3 week stay at the Soreda and will probably being going back January.

We have been many times in this hotel since we are always satisfied with everything.
First of all my communication with Mr.John Borg for reservation always been prompt and satisfactory. Checking in is always welcomed by a smile from the staff at the reception. We always book on all inclusive basis cause it is much more worthit since food in infinite and people at the bar especially Rosario is always serving people with a smile even though they are always busy at the bar, and is very dedicated in doing cocktails. Drinks improved a lot especially the whisky even though it s not branded. Quite a good blend. Thanks to Mr.Joseph Barbara who s trying his best to make everyone happy. Food is superb. a large variety of everything and always fresh.Staff at the restaurant are always very welcoming and polite.
Cleanliness is at its outmost. Cleaners are even cleaning late night and even restrooms are always clean. Annie is always seen around non stop and smiling to everyone.
There is always entertainment every evening and residents are just like family.
In a few words a holiday in this hotel is must.. we ve been here many times and definitely will visit again very soon.

We've stayed at the hotel every year for the past 8 years but due to all the Covid-19 issues we really did not know what to expect on this visit. I was nervous about going this year due to the virus but there really was no reason to worry.
The hotel & staff have all the safety measures in place to ensure the hotel stays virus free. Your temperature is checked every time you enter the hotel and you must use the hand sanitiser which is located all over the hotel, including in the lifts. They are following social distancing rules in all areas including the restaurant. There are screens up at reception and in the restaurant servery to ensure safety and masks must be worn in all public places. These measures made me feel safe and allowed us to feel comfortable and relaxed in the hotel.
The bedrooms are spotless thanks to the lovely housekeeping staff, especially Racheda who is just wonderful. There have been a number of staff changes since our last visit but I can honestly say that every single staff member went out of their way to ensure we had a good holiday despite the current virus situation. A special thank you to Sharon for always making our stay amazing and also to Jitt in the restaurant for looking after us so well. The new reception team were so friendly & welcoming and I felt like we'd know them for years. Rosario makes the best cocktails ever and we certainly enjoyed a few on the roof by the pool. The staff really do go out of their way to ensure you have the best stay possible. If you need something just ask at reception and they will do their best to accommodate you. The best service you could ever wish for. We decided not to travel on buses this year and opted to just go swimming in the sea or sunbathe on the roof and we still had a brilliant time.
Thank you to all the staff for making our stay wonderful and safe.

Sadly major construction work, building sites all around the hotel, pathways and roads uneven and potholes. No street lighting. Rubbish in the streets. Constant noise from building works. You cannot escape it on sun terrace on the roof, building work adjacent, see picture. Major Refurbishment ongoing at the hotel,2 cranes working on front of hotel creating noise and dust.new carpet fitting in bedroom corridors from 7.30am. Fire doors in bedroom corridor removed 3 weeks ago, still not back on.not conducive if there is a fire. Various maintenance/repairs/updating has started as early as 7.10am. Lifts keep breaking down. No positive response from reception or holiday rep. I think they forget we are on holiday! Our room is at the back in a quadrant area, no privacy, overlooked by many rooms. Noise echos and smells linger. Lighting very poor with the room. We have been told other rooms are no better due to work on front of hotel and building work around the hotel. I certainly would not rate this has 4 star. Cold in public areas of hotel and evening entertainment to loud and repetitive, not a good standard.
Avoid holiday club sales on street corners. They will try to befriend and help you and say they are from the tourist board to get you to go to a presentation to get you to part with thousands of pounds. Be firm and say NO.
Positive note, hotel staff very nice, food is good, plenty of hot water, live entertainment in restaurant is nice during dinner.
City on/off bus trip for a good overall view of the island. Public bus pass great value 15 euros for 2 hours, if you get back on again within the two hours you don’t pay. Also you can share a card.

Dear Esteemed Guests, At the moment unfortunately the construction is all over the Island and not only in the vicinities of the Hotel. This is something that no Hotel in Malta has control on. As you well said we are doing some upgrades to provide and improve our service. Your room was away from all the upgrade for the only reason of not disturbing you. Our Reception Staff did well when they told you that we were not able to change your room to the front part. If we did so, you would have complained because of the noise. The new fire doors are in the process of being installed and for that reason we have increase our security Staff to monitor the areas.

Still here until tomorrow
Booked with love holidays
Stayed a week

Welcome good and check in fast - arrived late at night
Room was a double bedroom and asked to change because stayed with a friend not a partner, they moved us the next morning to a big room which had a mini fridge, safe and air con with a nice balcony overlooking other balconies (see photo) shower was good and room cleaned daily with fresh towels. Wardrobe space great with plenty of hangers

Food - they had to serve us at mealtimes due to the Covid restrictions and masks were mostly worn. We both thought the food was decent and that the staff worked extremely hard (they were short staffed and they never seemed to have a day off) we don’t have any complaints about the food at all. The restaurant and the hotel did allow dogs in though and don’t get me wrong I am a huge animal lover but when your eating food in a restaurant it is not appropriate to hear dogs whining and being fed from their tables, nearly a dog fight at one point too! Also there was a dog that peed in front of the host stand!!! (See photos) the locals that brought their dogs in had basically taken over the pool area too which was extremely upsetting as it was over 30degree heat and they didn’t seem to care about their own dogs welfare. Jeet and Doris took care of our mealtimes and they are a big asset to the Soreda.

Pool area otherwise sufficient but if you have worked hard during the pandemic and want a nice relaxing poolside experience then you will not be able to rely on this hotel to provide it. There were lots of kids running amok and the lifeguard sat on his phone doing nothing about the madness, people were designated smoking areas but never stuck to the hotel policies.

Pool bar ok up in the roof terrace and the barman Steve was lovely and worked hard but the entertainment is a massive let down and they need to consider that this is a big part of the holidaymakers choice when it comes to deciding on a hotel. There was a choice of bars around the area thankfully but if your an all inclusive guest then you expect half decent entertainment not some acts that would be best suited to a nursing home.

Reception staff were ok and we would like to thank Alexander for looking after us - haven’t checked out yet so can’t comment on that

Tonight they are having a party in their otherwise unused lounge that is dated but pleasant and we feel that this hotel needs to decide on what type of guest they would like I.e international tourists, local residents, local holiday makers or a dog hotel… you can’t have it all! Oh and treat your staff with respect they work 7 days a week and don’t bollock them in front of guests it’s appalling! Value them please.

We won’t be staying here again which is a shame as Malta itself is a gorgeous island with plenty to see and do. Love Holidays well all I can say is thank god we can entertain ourselves hey!

Good qualities and bad. Bear in mind we have come at start of March so bikini weather one day then we're wrapped up more than England the next day! The bar staff are excellent. Very friendly. They love a chat when they have time. Always very attentive and helpful. Waiting staff in restaurant are good. Food is ok usually a decent choice. Sometimes you have to wait a while to get their attention having said that they are constantly busy even at this quiet time of year. Avoid like the plague on a Sunday as its locals day and is packed. Locals were going up taking bottles of wine etc so I went up and grabbed 2 bottles of water and was told to sit down someone would come and serve me. I felt really awkward. This hotel is definitely for the older generation. Its glaringly obvious from some of them that they dont like newer or younger people at "their" hotel. Shame there's such a divide but all the entertainment is aimed for them. I like to think I know a wide genre of music but I didnt know half the songs. I hope it was just our bad timing with the people staying. The maids clean thoroughly but to be honest the whole hotel needs a good re vamp, which they seem to be doing gradually. We had to move rooms as we had a building site outside our balcony. Workmen started at 6.30 am. We moaned and to be fair, quickly got moved to another part of the hotel where there was different building work going on but it was quieter. The whole of Malta is covered with cranes and workmen so if you would like a lie in, dont come here. The ground floor pool is nice but enclosed in the hotel walls so not sure if its ever warm enough to swim in. The roof terrace pool is great and definitely brings the hotel's rating up. The indoor pool and hot tub are also lovely especially on a not so warm day. The bus service is very good and for €21 you can get a bus pass for the week. Definitely worth it if you're doing tourist stuff. A.i doesn't start on drinks until 11am outside of the breakfast room so make sure you take water back to your room the night before. Reception staff were lovely except for the guy who will do the absolute bare minimum time help you.

Yes it is up on the rooftop where there is the bar and it is live music 🎶😀

Yes beer is included in the all inclusive and the hotel doesn't have any billiard or snooker tables nor darts board and doesn't organize them. But they have a play zone area for children if that is of any help. And three swimming pools one on the rooftop with a bar beside it and an outdoor pool within the confines of the hotel and an inside pool as well.
