There was some fresh fruit or vegetables of sorts and the menu was the same every day breakfast lunch and dinner with rice.we were fully inclusive and if you wanted lunch and read what was the night meal there was not much different so we left it
The staff were very pleasant
superior room needs updating and as the son of the owner he came most days breakfast and dinner and was watching what was going on.
This will be my last time in this hotel and i have stayed many times it has gone down hill so as to other returning guests have commented they will not return

We booked 12 nights all inclusive at this hotel, arriving late afternoon very tired after a long journey we had to drag our cases up steps inside the hotel, there is no ramp and staff do not assist no matter what your age.
Hotel is clean and rooms changed daily by very friendly staff.
Food average but we always found something to eat and mostly it was quite nice. For some reason mousse is a desert favourite and is offered every evening in different flavours, we got to like it 😃.
We did not enjoy any of the all inclusive alcohol that was available as it is very limited and not great quality.
The staff are mostly friendly and helpful.
The room was spacious overlooking the pool, unfortunately the sun is only on the pool until around 2pm.
There is usually karaoke most evenings if you like that sort of thing and occasionally a really good more professional singer entertains.
Great bus service directly outside the hotel which will take you to all the great site seeing places, Valletta, golden bay etc just 2euro.
Location is a little far out and takes about 15-20 mins to walk into the main square and promenade but worth it when you get there.
I would not return to Malta but it was a nice break and very scenic.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. I am sorry for the 5 stairs at reception but on the right, there is a lift which you can use to avoid dragging the luggage up the stairs. We have a very good choice of dinks in the All-Inclusive menu all kinds of spirits and drinks. For our All-Inclusive guests we also allow 30% discount on all specialty brands. For your convenience we have solarium on the 6th Floor where you can enjoy the sun and the nice views of the National Park opposite the hotel. I hope you enjoyed our free internet and our newly added facility the self-service laundry. We look forward to welcoming you once again.

Visited hotel in February 2020. Hotel basic but clean. Hotel us not in great situation, was dark in evening and boring close to walk to, but there us a bus stop very close only 1.5 euro to travel on bus across the island. Staff in restaurant very helpful reception staff not as helpful and not welcoming . Hotel is all inclusive but not typical style, you get served food at meal time and have to use card that is swiped for drinks even though wearing wrist band, I felt as if everything I ate and drank was being monitored. Not a lot if choice for food but was very tasty, desserts did leave a lot to be desired, tinned fruit cocktail and ice cream. Definitely not 4 star may be 3 star, but then again was a good price for couple of days break.

Bellavista hotel in Malta, to start with the outside presentation of the hotel is not appealing, looks like a run down building in need of refurbishment, food very basic same breakfast every day, some variation through lunch and dinner but still very basic plain food. All inclusive drinks didn’t not include any cocktails and we were not allowed to take glasses to our rooms or to the pool or on the terrance. Rooms were always cleaned well, me and my partner did have a flooded toilet one day and it took around an hour to sort due to reception slacking. I found reception staff very rude, the night shift man was miserable And unwelcoming. Then outside pool was closed because of seasonal reasons. There’s was a room of snooker and table tennis facilities which my group spent a lot of our evenings in. Nightime entertainment very old fashioned and basic, no variation thought out our stay. The all inclusiveness runs out at 11pm every night and you are required to pay after this time, also on your day of departure the all inclusive runs out at 12 noon meaning we could not get lunch before we departed. Even though we viewed this as a cheap holiday it was still £220 pounds each for all inclusive and we don’t believe we got our money’s worth from the stay. Despite our hotel experience we enjoyed our excursions and we loved the country as Malta is truely beautiful so don’t let my review put you off visiting the country as it is stunning. I would not recommend this hotel to stay in. There are lots of other hotels which looked beautiful .

dear guest, my apologies if the hotel was not up to your expectations. We ask guests not to take glasses near the pool , roof terrace or rooms because it is dangerous if these are broken. My apologies if a member of our reception staff was not welcoming. I think you got a good deal nearly € 30.00 a day for room, breakfast lunch & dinner+ snacks and drinks all day from 09.00 to 23.00 hours. We are pleased you enjoyed your excursions around our beautiful island.

So myself and my wife have just spent 5 days at The Bella Vista, All Inclusive for a mini break. I can honestly say we could not fault it at all.

We arrived an hour early before check in and the receptionist told us to put our luggage into the store room and gave us our wrist bands so we could use the restaurant for lunch straight away and get some drinks whilst we waited. The receptionists we spoke to throughout our stay were polite, informative and I really can’t see why people are saying they are so rude and moody.

The food we ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner was lovely, well seasoned and there was also plenty of choice. My wife is vegetarian and even she was happy with what was on offer and the hotel do offer a special menu for vegetarians/dietary requirements if you inform them each morning. We did even eat at the snack bar one lunchtime and still we had plenty of choice.

We stayed in room 513 and my only gripe, was we rarely had sun on our balcony as the room is tucked away into the corner of the hotel, but this never bothered us as we weren’t there to sit on the balcony. Housekeeping came every day, clean towels etc. The shower had good pressure and always had hot water and the in general was a good size as well.

I would recommend using Vince for tours as he is cheaper than other places around. Also the hotel is one of the hop off bus stops, so very easy to use and return back on. I would also say the hotel shop claims to be cheaper than other shops around area and we found this to be true.

All the staff were very pleasant and friendly and we did not have an issue at all with anyone. Thank you to all!!

My advice about this hotel would be, treat the staff how you wish to be treated. Smile at them, say hello and you will get that in return plus plenty more.

Thank you Bella Vista for an enjoyable stay and we will return soon.

This hotel is for people who want cheap, basics with karaoke nights, Anyone who says good things about this hotel, know, you get what you pay for! Old hotel, food basic and the same every day, staff are just doing a job, nothing special, bedrooms are like staying at travel lodge, but older, seriously the bathroom is so basic, I couldn't really wash, it fell off the wall, nothing great at all.
We happened to be put here because our travel company screwed up, I was very upset how horrible, to my standard, this hotel was. The people who are in the hotel seem to love it, because it's like Butlins to the Brit, everyone seem to stay for months here, and boast how cheap it is, the hotel caters for the retired Brit who is grateful for cheap and just ok, so the hotel delivers this 100%. People put up with it all because they know all too well about this hotel, it's cheaper than living 2 months in England. Friends, please, if you want a lovely holiday in Malta, there are many nice places, if you want cheap and basic, then book this hotel! Good luck!

It is normal for all hotels in Malta to have a number of guests who come for long stays during Winter. My apologies if the hotel was not up to your standard.Hope you still enjoyed the historical sights, museums , Palaces and exhibitions .

It is a nice hotel . The room was nice and quite big. We had a little balcony . The food was good but not a big choice of food.
The staff were not overly friendly. The lady in the shop by reception was lovely and really friendly. The guy booked trips with Vince was really friendly and knowledgable.
They had an indoor pool and outdoor pool but both were quite small. Wouldn't like it in summer when its hot and busy .
Just across the road from hotel is Salina national park which was really nice worth a visit. Bus stop is close to hotel.Only used bus once but was easy to do
Just up the road from hotel is a lovely tea cafe called Carolina Petit Cafe and Tea Room. it was really cute. We just had a piece of cake and a hot chocolate which cost €14.90 . They do a lot of afternoon tea but didnt have time to go back
Went for a leg massage and reflexology. The room was not very welcoming could fo with a make over . Whilst I was on the bed someone came into room it was the masseurs children , not very professional.
We were on 5th floor and one night we had s power cut. and had to walk up stairs thought I was going yo die Im so unfit. Its not hotels fsult but apparently the lifts had gone a few times . Not good as there were quite a few elderly people in hotel. I did enjoy my stay though

We travel a lot, we spend winter and summer holidays abroad.
We stay in 3, 4 or 5 star hotels, I always evaluate the hotel in terms of price, and this hotel is the cheapest in Malta. We are very satisfied, we have no comments. You have to judge the quality against the rating. People write negative comments, they could buy the most expensive hotel in Malta 5 stars and not the cheapest 3 stars. All the negative reviews I read are ridiculous. If someone wants luxuries, let them pay for luxuries, and provide themselves with these 7 Egyptian stars :-)

Cleanliness: rooms cleaned daily, change of towels, sheets, bathroom and floor cleaning.

Food: delicious, varied, there was a lot of dishes to choose from and for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters.

Service: nice, polite, helpful

Indoor pool: heated, we used it

Gym: also ok, we used it

Additional attractions: children played billiards and ping pong, they were not bored. Every other night there was a concert in the hotel lobby, live music, and you could dance.

Location of the hotel: in front of the hotel there is a bus stop that will take you everywhere, no need to take a taxi. Weekly ticket for an adult for 7 days costs 21 EUR and for a child 15 EUR and we rode without limits, we visited the whole island by bus. We installed the Tallinja application on our phones (to be downloaded from google play) and thanks to it we searched for connections. We had half board option so we left the hotel after breakfast and came back around 6 pm for dinner, we spent the evenings at the bar,

This is absolutely not a 4 star hotel so don't be fooled into thinking you're booking something that is of the usual standard that a 4 star hotel offers. Good points are friendly staff, clean rooms, drinks on all inclusive package are fine. Bad points are the food is terrible, I generally can eat most things but wow they even get basics wrong like ruin a salad, can't cook fries and the choice is limited and everything tastes the same. The cafe snacks are slightly better, presumably because this is also open to paying guests as well as hotel all inclusive guests. I've never been to a hotel where the lovely staff are so jolly and smiling whilst serving up food that's barely edible. Needless to say we ate elsewhere after giving it 2 chances. Other positives are the excursions arranged by the hotel which are great. There's not much around the hotel vicinity but the main square is a 15 minute walk or so. Next time we will do our homework and check reviews first as we stupidly only did this afterwards and thought we'd take them with a pinch of salt as often it's subjective and people review bad experiences only. I review both good and bad and sadly this one isn't great. The island is gorgeous though, so there's plenty to do that keeps you away from the hotel. I do wonder how they have 4 stars and perhaps they self rate in Malta

Myself and my 10 year old son recently stayed at Bella Vista for a week. We arrived after 10pm, a lovley fresh sandwich fruit, crisps and water was waiting for us as we had booked al inclusive. I had requested a low floor pool view via email before i arrived and i was placed in room 207 overlooking the pool. The rooms are really nice enough space for 2 people easily. There are extra pillows and a blanket in the wardrobe if you need these we didnt need them. 1st night i just had a couple of drinks from the bar and sat around the pool area first impressions it was very low key. However, music is played all throughout the hotel which was brilliant. I got up the following morning went for breakfast there is bacon, eggs, Toast and tinned plummed tomatoes which was great for me as i not a fan of beans, they had beans also. There does get a long que forming at the toast machine but it is what it is and the staff manage this the best they can. Lunch and evening meals i wont lie are not perfect but you will find something to eat. I always had a salad with cheese and crackers then meat and noodles or rice ect. They have a pasta dish on too. Plenty of choice for deserts and ice cream which my child enjoyed. The food does get complaints but i felt it was just ok. You have to carry a second card when you order your drinks at the snack bar i forgot to bring mine down the 1st morning the barman nicely told me no problem bring it later. The snacks are available till 3pm and can i say are excellent freshly cooked burgers so much better for fussy eaters. The drinks are excellent and the barman Robert i would like to credit is a absolute gent so polite and he deserves all the credit he gets. There was only entertainment 1 night a duo singing really good too its a shame they wasnt on more often. I met some lovley people in this hotel and really enjoyed my stay. I ate out at the restraunt facing the hotel which is attatched to a nice park great for little ones in the evening to play when it is cool. I felt it was worth writing a review as there is some poor reviews written and i generally had a great time. The swimming pool is lovley and its always open i was in it 1 night at midnight. Thank you very much all the staff i spoke to were so nice. Thanks to Robert again for serving me that lovley wine haha. If i could give you one small suggestion i would just do a kids menu and make sure chicken nuggets, pizza is on every night as my son did struggle with the food but again thanks and i may see you again 1 day.
