my first suggestion would be for everyone to look at the hotel photos that only show photos of the Cardor hotel then at the traveller photos they give a far better unbiased view .

As the Cardor is a lovely hotel far different to the canifor Hotel Even worse is the tenement building canifor court on the main road fortunately as soon as we looked inside canifor court we realised how poor it was . so were moved into the slightly more acceptable though not as good as a traveller should expect main hotel

there were numerous problems when checking in but by far the worst was being given 3 different rooms all being crossed out and other rooms being allocated apparently all of us had the same name (impossible). The thing is I have no problems with mistakes but own up to them do not try to hide the truth

some staff were marvellous some the evening manager in particular who was more interested in his phone than customers worried about the fire alarms that were going off pushing aside any valid concerns about a possible fire as we could smell smoke .I believe his name was Vincent but I was more worried for the possibility of smoke inhalation to listen correctly while he ranted on to everyone .

All in All a stay that hopefully will be forgotten and we can move on to our next holiday
My suggestion would be to read the reviews and make up your own mind. Or pay a little more and go somewhere that some of the staff make you feel like a valued customer not an inconvenience to them . I do feel sorry to say this as some of the staff were helpful and welcoming

It's basically you get what you paid.
Really cheap hotel at Buggiba, entrance at Canifor Hotel. We had one apartment with balcony. It was clean, nice view, had problems with temparature due to climatisation, had a leaking sink, which got fixed a day after we reported it(we reported at 10pm, about 10am it was working properly).

Really good for people on the budget, close to Bugibba Bay, some British pubs, beaches, convince shops.

It has a free sun zone on the roof(6th floor).

Well … my first time in Malta. Transfer dropped my here as it’s the hotel I booked. I went straight to reception ( as you do ) and waited 10 mins after ringing the bell . The lady looked confused and told me I had to book in at the hotel attached at the canifor hotel. So I went to reception at this hotel but because I got there early I was told to come back at 2 ( fair enough). Went back at 2 and checked in. Then was told I had to pay a €3 tax which is fair enough. But I had to get my key back at the original hotel I first went to.. I also had to remind her I was All Inclusive .. which she then put my wristband on.. so I went back to the original hotel to get my key. Got my key and went to my room.. then I couldn’t open my door. I went back down. The lady came back and opened it.. the door handle was loose ans wasn’t screwed to the door.. she went so I tried again .. couldn’t .. went back down and she asked one of the lads to open it. I asked him to wait while I try . The door handle came off . But eventually got the door opened. I went back down and said the door handle came off in my hand and she basically laughed and said I’d get used to it . Health and safety at its best. . The room was spacious ideal for solo.. couldn’t watch tv because you need a deposit for the remote.. wasn’t told about the rooftop pool, another guest said days after. Most staff where half hearted giving help. Not a lot was down on the piece of paper you get. Food was good, and was pretty chilled once you knew of other guests the in’s and out’s .. ideal location .. bus terminal 5 min walk away.. classic car museum literally over the road .. but a beautiful island, well worth a visit

I give it a star because it does not allow me not to put any. We started with the apartment, with low light (only 2 windows to a dwarf lighthouse) and SUPER humid (when you picked up your clothes in the morning it seemed that it was wet, and the same did the sheets when you got into bed).
Upon arrival we see the sheets with a red / orange stain. The apartment was super hot, and normal, with 40º degrees all day on the street, and we thought that luckily we had air, but that's it ... the remote was not there, and when we went to ask reception they told us that it was paid separate (€ 5 per day + € 12 deposit). The bathroom had a bathtub, but no plug (they also charged it separately, we did not ask), but also the boiler was off, so after a whole day traveling we had to go to bed without showering because we did not have hot water and the first jet came out of brown water. The body wash that also serves as a shampoo, we think it was detergent, since its smell was literally like laundry detergent.
They have a kitchen, well, kitchen is saying a lot, since they have a mini fridge, a sink and an oven with 2 burners on top. Problem? Every time you turn on the oven, the power goes out, and the stove doesn't work. We let them know at reception, they said they would fix it, and they never did.
There is no Wi-Fi and the worst thing is that there is no coverage either, so having mobile data is of no use either.
Also, you have plates, glasses, cutlery ... but you don't have soap, or sponge to wash them, not even rags to clean the kitchen ...
We stayed for 5 days and I can say that it is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life.
Do not go to this site, even if it is the cheapest, it will be expensive!

After arriving at the airport the transfer dropped us outside the Canifor hotel and told us it was the Condor. We went in and checked in. The housekeeper then took us all the way out the back of the hotel, across the pool and into another building and showed us our room. We booked a double room and our room was a twin, we went and found the housekeeper and she then said they don't do double beds and came in and pushed the two beds together (not zip and link). Our view from the bedroom was a wall looking down into where they store they're buckets, mops ect.
The actual Condor hotel has NO WiFi after advertised that it does, you have to go back across to the Canifor to have access to it. The air conditioning did not work and the safe in the room had no key. On the last night we walked down towards the pool area to leave as the door to the Condor closes and locked at 4pm and we found the ground floor flooded from a burst pipe in the toilet, was reported but wasn't dealt with until the morning.
The housekeepers in the Condor were lovely and helped where they could, however the staff member on reception in the Canifor upon check in was rude.
The indoor pool, the chlorine was too high as it bleached our swim wear and you could taste salt in the water.

Overall our trip was good, was just let down by the hotel

nice hotel near beach and about a mile from town square, staff are overworked and tend to be moody, but overall they try hard.
the accommodation is a lottery, some outside apartments, some nice rooms and some on the annex which seem very basic, some have kettles and working fridge, and some have hairdryers and some do not, rooms were cleaned every day, and food served in restaurant area was edible but not 4 star, but to be fair some thing to eat each day, and for the price of holiday food selection was ok.
entertainment was poor and was focused on the local community who enjoyed there dancing, and the average age was 60+, but it was nice to watch them enjoying themselves and they all took there time to dress in some of there finest clothes, and i cannot see anything wrong with that.as there was plenty of pubs around for karaoke or more modern music.

an absolute horror of a hotel, you cant access it through the 'actual' hotel but through a neighboring hotel and its awful once access is gained.
theres black mold everywhere , the paints crumbling off the walls and doors, its got rising damp and is just generally filthy and smelly. i spent 5 minutes inside the room before leaving in a panic about where we would stay for our trip and that was 5 minutes too long! all furniture was ripped and/or stained and it looks like they dredged the kitchen up from a river!

All in all a great experience for the price I paid! £660 for 10 nights AI (including flights) I really can’t complain I paid single supplement but my apartment had 3 beds full size fridge freezer and cooking facilities if needed. Although the outside pool area was still under construction when I arrived it would have been nice to have been informed but again wasn’t a problem because it wasn’t pool whether anyway, and the indoor pool was avaliable!

We had a slight problem when we arrived ( not the hotel's fault) . They were very helpful and treated us with compassion and consideration. The staff were friendly and sorted out our problem . The facilities were very broad, the food was tasty and plentiful and entertainment professional and catered for a wide audience. This was our second visit and we are going back for a month December and January. The Cardor is in an ideal location close to all the facilities of Qawra. We would like to offer our thanks and gratitude for the care we received .

They usually only accept cash on the "environment" tax. read into that what you will. Yes plenty of cash machines. The main one is in Bugibba Square near Hotel Primera (bit of a hike). Small one near The Craftsman Pub (nice in there give it a go) but often empty as it (cash machine) get used plenty. Try not to use the yellow free standing machines. Total rip off. Charges/poor exchange rates.

You have to check in the Canifor Hotel. Absolutely ludicrous. I had a row with them.....they INSIST on a mask UNLESS you are in their bar, drinking their over priced drinks, then all mention of masks is dropped... So yeah.....am afraid a useless lump of environmental hazard is required!
