We came to the sunseeker hotel in December and were greeted warmly at reception by a lovely lady. Wasmaller than expected after staying at other self catering places but very clean which was the most important thing fors nice after a long journey. We had requested a quiet room for our baby and were allocated an apartment on the top floor. It was me! I have stayed at many hotels with higher stars status and it doesnt compare to the cleanliness at this conplex. It was also very quiet which was great for us. The utensils looked fairly new and were clean and there was plenty of cutlery for us. We did bring some scissors from home and a small sharp knife which they didnt have. Consider bringing oven gloves too if you plan to use the oven. The shower was small but there was plenty of hot water. The water temperature was difficult to regulate at times but only an issue when trying to bathe our baby. We had a large balcony and could see the sea from the corner which was nice. We couldnt use the balcony much due to the cold weather.
We did find the apartment got very cold in the evening and asked for a heater which they supplied with a charge. A bit cheeky considering you would expect heating automatically for winter conditions. None the less it did the trick. We also got a cot and requested a high chair which they provided with a charge. On the first night we found our apartment was quite dark. This was promptly fixed with a call to reception and a gentleman came and changed our lightbulb which made a big difference.
They were accommodating with our request to clean the apartment around our babys naps which was much appreciated. They also supplied us with an umbrella for the rain. The only 1 disappointment i had was the indoor pool temperature. It was very cold even after swimming laps continuously i couldnt warm up and had to come out! A real shame as i had partly booked the complex with the indoor pool facilities. The self service launderatte was an important facility for us but a bit pricey at €12 for 1 wash and 2 dryer cycles. Either way it was helpful for us to have this facility. The location of the complex is fantastic. Minutes away from the sea, town square and bus terminal. The Trollees supermarket located nearby was great for us. Overall a very pleasant experience at this complex. The staff accommodated all our requests and really care about keeping their customers happy.

This complex is great for someone who is out and about and needs a clean quiet base to come back to. It is just a short walk to the seafront and Bugghiba Square. Our apartment was regularly serviced and the towels changed. It is well enough equipped to cook a simple meal which we did twice. However such good value eateries and food in Bugghiba we ate out mostly. The bus station was also just a short walk away where you could catch a bus to Valletta for 1.50 euros. The Aquarium is only a 20 minute walk along the seafront if you want a local attraction. We also enjoyed just walking along the seafront watching the sea. There are several cafes along the seafront to choose from. Sunseekers offers good value self catering apartments. I would return again and stay there. However if you want more luxury then a hotel may be a better option for you.

The apartments are well equipped with everything needed. The option of the cooler indoor pool or roof pool with sun lounger area was excellent. Towels for use in the apartment are supplied and changed every two days, beach/pool towels need to be brought with you. Great to have a drying rack and pegs available on the balconies. We had aircon in the bedrooms and kitchen/living area.

Handily situated just off the seafront so quieter, 3 minutes walk to the bus station with superb links around the island. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores to choose from. Only tiny downside is that there are shingle/pebble beaches in Bugibba but access points for swimming are around.

Having just returned from our 2nd visit the 1st being 16 years ago since we stayed at this hotel. It is still as brilliant was it was then hence why we decided to stay here again.
The 2 bed apartment was spacious and well equipped. We had one small balcony off the bedroom and a huge balcony off the living room.
The hotel is in a central location within easy reach of supermarket, shops and restaurants as well as near the sea front.
It was well attended to by regular maid service and always smelt fresh.
The pool area is fantastic with fab views of the bay, clean and well maintained with plenty of sunbeds and shade always managed to get beds anytime.
The staff and management are friendly and helpful and nothing is a problem.
My own criticism would be the snack bar I remember the last stay being able to buy chips, and toasties etc whereas now all they sell are pastries or crisps alongside hot and cold drinks.
They serve a morning buffet but we never used it as we ate in the apartment €7 adult €5 child
The bar area near reception is well equipped and nice and quiet with TV’s showing sport if required.

Looking forward to staying there again

one nice touch is a welcome pack milk tea bags water etc, if you dont use them take it back no charge, little supermarket on site.

From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome and the essentials left in the room which you can have tea coffee etc you can use and pay for them or hand them back was a nice thought. The hotel was spotless and the staff can not do enough for you to make you feel more than welcome. The hotel is just off the seafront but in an ideal location for the bus station and the cafe's and restraunts. Just a warning though there is a big building built at the end of the road so there is some building work going on and will do so for sometime but it did not effect my stay in any way. If you want a nice friendly hotel situated in an ideal location this could be the place for you. Look forward to visiting again in the near future.

My Husband & I have just returned from a 2 week holiday. The Hotel was ideally located for our needs and was wonderful. All of the staff were brilliant and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble from printing out all the documentation we needed to return home and not charging us, to providing towels for us to use following a shower after we had checked out.

My husband and I spent two weeks at The sunseeker holiday complex and it was great for all of our needs.
The owner and his family were always friendly and helpful and the housekeeping members were so friendly and helpful.
We had a a twin room which has a small balcony with a sea view. We are smokers so it was perfect, although small, it was big enough for us to sit on and enjoy our coffee.
The room has a fridge, kettle and coffee, t bags and milk are provided every day. It’s enough to get you started every morning.
We had two single beds due to my poor sleep patterns and the beds were comfortable and very clean.
The hotel was impeccably clean.
The only thing I found to be missing was a microwave. One would have been nice to warm up any left over foods we had, but this does not impact the stay in any way at all as the hotel is situated right next to everything you could ever need.
Breakfast was more than adequate, cereal, toast, cold plate of cheese and meats, pastries and then the hot plates, bacon, eggs, sausage and beans. And the best coffee I have ever had.
I highly recommend this hotel and would most certainly return there for our next visit to Bugibba.

I travelled to Malta with my Mother and Niece for 7 nights in August 2024. We opted for a self catering option with having a 2 year old with us. Upon arrival, the reception area was extremely welcoming and we were effortlessly checked-in within 5 minutes. We had a very spacious and spotless 3 bedroom appartment that featured a terrace and a small balcony, an absolute treat! The appartment featured everything you'd expect in self catering, a large kitchen (cooker, large free standing fridge, toaster, kettle etc.) and dining area, sofa area, large bedroom and bathroom with shower (with hairdryer!). The appartment had air-conditioning throughout, which was delightful considering Malta was experiencing extremely high temperatures for August at the time. There is both an infant and large pool on the roof (outside pool) and in the basement area (indoor), as well as a gym etc. The outdoor/pool areas feature a lot of sunbeds, parasols and seating places, as well as a small in-door shop for refreshments, which was great for days around the pool.

The Sunseeker is located in a great spot in St Paul's Bay. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops within a 2 minute walking distance in all directions. There is a nice mix between local restaurants and larger chains (Pizza Hut, Starbucks, McDonalds etc.) So perfect for eating out. It is a 3 minute walk to the 'beach' area. Although the beaches here aren't sandy, they're still accessible. However, we didn't use them as the drop to the sea/lack of sand wasn't suitable for a 2 year old. The bus station is a 5-10 minute walk away which allowed us to have a day trip to Valletta for €6 per adult using a daily unlimited travel pass. Plenty of small food shops and supermarkets (we used Wellbees) close by for those who opt for self-catering.

We will definitely return to this hotel, when we return to Malta. All staff here did their upmost to make our stay enjoyable. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Unfortunately not but you can still buy water at reception. Neville may reopen the shop at some stage but Covid forced the closure.
