We returned to this fantastic hotel after a few years without being able to do so and with the memory of a wonderful hotel and I must admit that it did not disappoint us. The facilities continue to be spectacular, perfectly maintained, spacious rooms, perfectly soundproofed, with everything you need to enjoy an incredible stay. The SPA is excellent, with different treatment and massage options, all very well cared for, constantly checked so that it is perfect and clean, it is worth enjoying. Breakfast is on a beautiful terrace and with a very good quality of all the products offered, both in the buffet and in the menu. Special mention for all the people who work at the buffet, always with a smile, always!!! and especially Yolanda and Nerea, who make you feel very special, what great professionals there are in this hotel. The beds are comfortable, but not excellent, the pillows are better than the comfort of the bed, the quality of the bedding is also very good. The cleaning of rooms, dining room, common areas, pool, etc., is perfect. It is worth going to enjoy the beach at the beach club which, although now it does not have grass, is still a very pleasant place where you can spend hours enjoying the beach and its facilities. The food is good at a correct price and all the waiters, again a 10, especially Yolanda who is lovely, what luck, or what a good job on the part of those responsible. Having such good staff in a hotel is part of the difference between a good hotel and an excellent hotel, from reception, to cleaning, waiters, valets, everyone, always, at any time, with a smile and a kind word, yes. which is a luxury for a client, continue taking care of them, they are a treasure of the hotel.
Of course, if you like golf it is a destination that you should enjoy.
Looking forward to returning!

Recently I stayed 1 week in the luxurious 5* Villa Padierna Palace Hotel, located in a beautiful setting. I enjoyed moment from check in to departure. The extremely friendly staff did everything they could during the week to please me, for which many thanks! The Villa is luxurious in every facet and exudes grandeur. My suite, located on the 3rd floor overlooking the golf course, was spacious and beautifully decorated, with all comforts and comforts, as well as the very spacious bathroom. The Villa has several restaurants, of which la Veranda, the fine dining restaurant, deserves special mention. Thanks to José Luis for the great wines and thanks to Adolfo for the excellent service and special hospitality. During the winter period, the 6 restaurants are open to a limited extent, but there is a choice for lunch or dinner every day in a beautiful setting. Like lunch on the terrace of Hole55 with a great view over the golf course, or lunch or dinner at the Italian restaurant La Loggia. Here you can also enjoy a very extensive breakfast buffet in the morning plus a choice from a breakfast menu. The beautiful, covered veranda at the front of the Villa invites you to have a snack and a drink at any time of the day. And for an aperitif you can go to Eddy’s Bar or the very nicely decorated Salon. Thanks to Miguel Angel and his colleagues for the delicious cocktails. Of particular note is the particularly well-equipped Spa. The Villa is surrounded by three 18-hole golf courses and golf enthusiasts staying at the Villa step right out the door to play golf at the Flamingos course. Certainly good to know and realize is that Villa Padierna is secluded, although in a beautiful area but 13 km from Puerto Banús, 16 km from Estepona and 22 km from Marbella. So it’s not like you walk into a village or city in the evening from the Villas. If you do not have your own transport, you have to rely on taxis. The concierge will be happy to help. And regarding concierge and front desk, I would like to thank Toni and his colleagues very much! Last note: even if you do not have a golf enthusiast, it is very pleasant to stay at Villa Padierna.

About The Anantara Villa Padierna I cannot thank the team at the Anantara Villa Padierna enough for what they did for our daughter Tasha's wedding the weekend of November 28-30th, 2024. They worked closely with our family for the entire year - getting involved in the nitty gritty details by ensuring we had the best vendors, best pricing, best service and above all else sincerest warmth from the senior management - specially Patricia Morales. Patricia is a gem you have who gives of her time, talent and genuine warmth to ensure no stone was left unturned to make Tasha's wedding a magical experience. She had my back at every turn even after we checked out post wedding celebrations. Patricia epitomizes an unusual combination of leadership, dignity and humility. She represents all that your brand represents - that the customer must be made happy and welcomed. The front desk staff- specially Tony who is a doll were incredible to all our guests. They worked tirelessly with us to welcome our guests and help them throughout their stay. With regards to the F & B managers - from the senior most manager running La Loggia and Veranda - the food and service was impeccable. The staff at La Loggia - specially Yolanda remembered what each guest liked to be served for breakfast and made sure they had the freshest fruits, cheeses, cold cuts etc. The best part is that all the service staff are basically happy people - you can tell they are well taken care of as they greet you at each turn with genuine warmth. The food is outstanding - freshest ingredients, excellent service and exquisite presentation - when lamb chops, sea food, paellas, grilled vegetables are served tender at dinner for a 170 guests - that says it all!!
I didn't get to see the GM much nor was there much interaction by him - but his associates were great. We loved our stay so much that we plan to get together there every other year to enjoy the hospitality. I hope senior management ensures that the hotel maintains its standard of care and amenities so that Marbella and the Anantara group retains a gem.

This hotel is a five star hotel but only on paper, the services and restaurants are not up to the stars. I was here on New Year's Eve to spend 5 days relaxing and playing golf and what I can say is: 1- Beautiful but uncomfortable structure. They gave me a room in a villa that was far from the main body and restaurants and so this required walks in the cold to have breakfast and eat. In addition, the villa is nothing but a large room, without even a sofa, with two terraces unusable in winter. The room also had the following problems: - cold room, to heat it you had to keep the heating at maximum and the fan at maximum throughout the day and even at night with the resulting fan noise (it seemed to always have a hairdryer on in the room) - windowless bathroom with fan that was not particularly effective resulting in persistence of odors, also when we entered the room from the toilet came on smell of sewer 2-New Year's Eve dinner 550 euros each with an embarrassing value for money. The dinner consisted of some tapas to be taken standing, oyster feast and ham feast, 2 starters 1 second and a dessert. I am used to frequenting top restaurants and I can say that this dinner was absolutely not worth the money spent. Not to mention the bad service: the waiters did not go around the tables carrying well you had to call them over and over again to be considered, they did not even give a glass of sparkling wine or cava to make the New Year's toast 3-Restaurant the veranda: avoid it, expensive pretentious and poor level, if you want to eat well go out and go to the Cortijo de Ramiro 6km away 4- Service: I expect that in the 5 stars the staff anticipates my needs, so it was not: - we asked those who brought us to the room to book a restaurant inside the hotel for dinner in the evening and forgot, at the restaurant they made us wait 30 min for someone to get up, they did not even offer us an aperitif for the mishap - we had to take our suitcases ourselves to check out from the room to the main body - they couldn't find our golf bags and we had to go get them from the caddy master - we had to load the car ourselves because no one helped us and I could add more, but I would say that's enough. The three stars therefore for the structure and because the golf courses are pleasant, but everything else is to be thoroughly reviewed if they really want to be a 5 star.

Quite a disappointment. staff on reception is not very helpful, was in a hurry during check in, didn't provide us information about facilities of the hotel or even about breakfast. As a returning customer and Discovery member I was expecting some nice Junior Suite but instead of it we received interconnected room with some other people with just one thin door between us. So, no privacy at all for our romantic vacation with my my wife. After complaining on reception, they gave us regular room, but it was the smallest Junior suite above terrace and restaurants. So we heard noise until 2 o'clock in the morning. So, to be the loyal guest of ANANTARA doesn't pay out as I understood.
Generally speaking, hotel is very noisy due to specific construction of the main building. Staff near the pool is better than on reception but again not trained for five star hotel. We were at the Beach club only once because it definitely needs big improvements starting from old cheap sunbeds, towels and finishing with the staff.
So we will choose other hotel and chain next time

Dear Mr. Michael, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. I sincerely apologize that your recent stay at Anantara Villa Padierna Palace did not meet your expectations, especially as a returning guest and Discovery Member. We deeply regret that the experience fell short of what you have come to expect from us. It is concerning to hear about the issues you faced during check-in and the lack of information provided about our hotel facilities. This is certainly not the level of service we strive to offer, and I will address this with our Front Desk team to ensure that such oversights do not occur in the future. I’m also sorry that the room allocation did not meet your expectations and that the alternative provided did not offer the privacy and comfort you were seeking for your romantic vacation. I understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with the noise and the layout of the rooms, and I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Your feedback regarding the overall noise level of the hotel, as well as the condition and service at the Anantara By the Beach Club, is invaluable. We are continuously working on improvements and will take your comments seriously as we strive to enhance our guest experience. We regret that we did not live up to your expectations as a loyal guest, and I truly hope you might reconsider staying with us again in the future. Should you decide to give us another chance, please contact me directly, and I will personally ensure that your next stay is flawless and memorable. Thank you once again for your candid feedback. This is a large, beautifully maintained property with many facilities. We were initially concerned that it might be too crowded especially since it was peak season but that was not the case at all.
Check-in and check-out was very efficient and the front desk team was helpful. We have to commend Carlota's exceptional customer service skills. We were not fully satisfied with the room originally allocated to us and upon letting her know she promptly worked on getting us a better room. She took the time to show us 2 alternative rooms and let us decide which one suited us better. We were there for 3 nights/4 days so we very much appreciated her doing this. The room we stayed in was a Junior Suite and it was very spacious, with a large balcony and bathroom.
In terms of facilities: Huge swimming pool with various depths and plenty of sunbeds. The spa is huge with an indoor pool, hammam, various steam rooms, saunas and a beautiful relaxing area. All of which guests can use for free. The hotel also has its own beach club which has a nice restaurant and lots of sunbeds and cabanas. It's a 10 min drive on the shuttle provided by the hotel. We played golf on the Flamingos course and it was a really nice, well maintained course.
Breakfast has an extensive selection. We had dinner at the beach club restaurant and the food and service was great.
Valet parking is available for EUR18/day. Given the room rates I feel it's a bit petty to charge for this (other resorts provide it for free) but not a huge issue as the valet team was very efficient. They should let guests know upfront though about the valet parking fee.
Days after checking out, there was an issue with my GHA points and Natalia from the front desk was very helpful in getting it resolved promptly.
We were originally going to stay at Nobu but got concerned about the reviews saying how noisy it was. We are happy to have booked at Anantara instead as it was not only relaxing but the whole team was very focused on ensuring their guests had a great experience.

We arrived with a child, but we were allocated a room very far away, accessible only by stairs and without an elevator, despite having a stroller. After asking for another room, we got one, but the carpet and rug were completely wet towards the bed (you're happy to walk us in a liquid without knowing where it came from). At breakfast, a pot of yogurt with fruit contained a piece of glass, which we once discovered in our mouth. Then I forgot a bag in my car, but the valet told me she was charging (electric car), so I asked for the key and got the bag myself, noticing that the car was not charging. The housekeeper constantly banged on the door, insisting on cleaning, seeming to be deliberately disrupting to finish her work. I have itchy bites on my body after sleeping at night, maybe mosquito bites or something in the bed. The beach was closed. However, the only positive point is that the gourmet restaurant is excellent, and the person at reception is very professional. Unfortunately, this clearly does not justify the standard of such a hotel.

Stayed here over Feb half term and can’t fault the hotel. The reception staff, concierge, valet, waiters … the whole team couldn’t do enough for us. A true 5 star experience. The hotel was themed beautifully for valentines with red roses and flowers throughout. We arrived to champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries in our room on the first night to kick start our honeymoon. Breakfast buffet was extensive with incredible jamon and plenty of hot options available a la carte too. Breakfast starts at 7.30 but on checkout we needed to leave by then so they arranged a tray to be brought out into the atrium with a selection of breads, meats, cheeses, tea coffee and juice so we had something before we left for the airport. Very impressed with this level of service. Restaurant food is expensive but worth it. Beach club is a must visit … we had the seafood tower starter and then didn’t need a main! The spa treatments were divine though the indoor heated pool is too cold and the water jets not very strong.
Things I wish I’d known.. There is a Nespresso machine in the room (not just instant coffee as stated on the website) so I didn’t need to take my cafetière!! There is no ice machine but if you ask at reception or in Eddy’s bar they will give you some if you want to have a cold drink in your room The minibars are empty right now due to Covid so lots of space if you want to BYO! The shelf in the shower is tiny so bring travel size products! Pull up to the front for valet parking service (we parked ourselves on first night not realising) Spa only opens at 11am so bear this in mind when planning day trips (gym is open 24 hrs)
All in all … nothing detracted from an incredible experience. Thank you to all the staff there for making it so memorable. Would highly recommend.

Firstly avoid room 118, directly over arrival reception, so constant noise of cars, doors slamming, people talking loudly. secondly room next door shower up against main bedroom wall, so its like RAIN FOREST when someone taking shower. New years eve gala night waste of money, terrible food, cheap drink, very unorganised due to other party's going on in hotel.

The hotel is fantastic!! It is an amazing property that offers all the services a client wants to find in a hotel. The rooms, restaurants, common areas, Spa, everything is spectacular, very well maintained and well maintained. It is a very family-friendly hotel that offers unparalleled service. I saw kids there when I was there myself - so no reason why you can't visit with children. Not sure about the beach - but the hotel does cater to children.
