Just returned from another nice stay in May 2021 in this beautiful little hotel with only nine rooms in the charming mountain village of Grazalema. Everything was as beautiful as during my last stay before Covid two years ago! The whole place is extremely clean, the terrace with the views fantastic, and the pool open and a relaxing place after a day of hiking in the national park. The hosts Andres and Ana are very friendly (English and of course Spanish spoken) and make sure that you really feel at home. La Mejorana is a beautiful base to explore the white village of Grazalema, other surrounding villages and the great Grazalema National Park with its hiking trails. Great restaurants and tapas bars are within easy walking distance. I will definitely return - very highly recommended.…
We enjoyed our stay in this charming Inn beautifully furnished with lots inviting spots to relax with a bottle of wine purchased in town and visit with fellow travelers. Breakfast, always a point of interest for us was very nice, the room is small but there are many places in the common areas t o eat. My only complaint was the shower seem to flood the bathroom floor. We were in the Romero room. They could certainly use a shower door to prevent this.
An excellent Hotel Rural run by Andreas and Ana. The accomodation was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. Andreas was extremely helpful and knowledgable of walking options in the area. A place to return to before too long I would suggest.
Spent 3 nights here in Spring 2019. Owners / staff very welcoming. Rooms quite spacious but we had blocked shower drain which was very smelly and not resolved. Breakfast selection good but cramped space around tables. Sound proofing between rooms is very poor, so pack your ear plugs.
After we had stayed in La Mejorana in May, we decided to stay here again on our hiking holiday. The host Andres and his wife Anna are just so welcoming and nobody could give you better advise on hikes since Andres is a keen hiker himself. But also take your time to hang around the house! Stylish interior, just sip a cup of tea (served all day) in front of the woodfire (now) or enjoy the pool (previous hike in May). And a good breakfast on top. Nice rooms, super clean. Will be hard to beat. Thanks ‘again’ Andres and Anna. ‘A la proxima’ for sure! Erik and Nicole. Belgium.
