What a spectacular place of beauty and a taste of real Spain. The silence is golden, a place of peace and tranquility the pool is shared by four little cottages and there is plenty of space. The cottage itself is hexagonal in shape and has a small seating area with a sofa bed, a dining table and two chairs a...

We stayed in Casa Grande/El Cortijo of Los Agarrobales near El Gastor for 15 days. We just left the place but are ready to go back. The house is big enough for a large family, the views from the main lounge are just fantastic, and the private swimming pool and the gardens are just a dream. It is a great...

We have just had the unfortunate experience of staying at this terribly shabby place. If we had been charged £100 per week then maybe I would not be so annoyed, but for the price we were charged it was nowhere worth the money and actually I feel ripped off! So dont be fooled by the views please look elsewhere. The...

If you enjoy all the bright lights and noise of the Costas and you want the luxury and opulence of a 5 star villa then this is not for you. As others have pointed out, the pool area is possibly the only disappointing aspect of this place but as we were happier on our own, this didn't detract from our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our rural finca complex "The Algarrobales" has an area of 25hectars located in a spectacular natural environment in the prehistoric dolmens valley, in the heart of Andalusia. We guarantee absolute tranquility with panoramic views over the stunning scenery of the National Park of Grazalema. This national park was declared a biosphere reserve and the blue-green waters of the swamp Zahara - El Gastor. There are color contrasts in the green of the mountains and the imposing mass of carob trees, oaks and olive trees. Buzzards, a variety of raptors, eagles and other birds are sighted daily. In less than 2km you will get to the village of El Gastor, also known as the BALCONY OF THE WHITE VILLAGES. You'll get in 20 min. To the mountain village Ronda, we are 1 hour away from Seville, Cadiz, Marbella and Puerto Banus and Malaga 1:30 min. We offer 13 houses for couples and families, 5 pools, tennis court and a meeting room for parties, business meetings or other occasions. Beside the charm that the complex has and the peace that it passes, this environment offers a multitude of entertainment options and you can organize day trips to other cities or major towns of Andalusia. For example you could visit Arcos de la Frontera, located 160m on the river Guadalete with its famous bird observatories, Granada with its magnificent Alhambra, Pilate's house in Seville and enjoy the Atlantic beaches in Cadiz. ... more   less

“Try and pick 3, 4 or 5 for stunning views but steer of no. 6 which has no view. A definite advantage would be to arrive in daylight as the road to the villa is difficult in the dark.”
