I really enjoyed my stay! Chris and Mia were really friendly and always there making sure you had everything you needed. The food was delicious and went well with the vibrant and relaxed atmosphere. The room was beautiful and looked out over the typically Spanish village town square. If you are looking for a walking holiday or just a "relaxation...

We spent an amazing 5 days walking in the fantastic countryside around Montejaque and Ronda - a brilliant location and the walks were amongst the best I've done in Spain. The nearby town of Ronda is one of those beautiful white towns. Chris is a brilliant host and nothing was too much trouble for him or his team - good...

We can't thank you enough Chris and the Team for a fantastic holiday. Nothing was too much trouble - the food was excellent and although we meant to try all the restaurants in the village we were tempted by the menu every night. The lovely atmosphere at 6pm when many people are having a pre-dinner drink allowed us to chat...

Visited El Elephante last year and had a great time but I am afraid this time around was not. The greating from Chris was very subdued and his staff (joke) , if you could find him when you wanted some service was very irrate and scruffy . We had to eat out as the restaurant was closed and filthy, I...

We stayed here on a walking holiday with Walking Wild Andalucia. All four of us rated the seven hotels we stayed in terms of the welcome, the rooms and the food. The Yellow Elephant came top in all four. We cannot reccomend this hotel enough. It's position right in the square, the hospitality of everyone and the lovely rooms were...

We had a fabulous stay at this small hotel situated in the southern part of Spain. Chris made us feel right at home, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted. The hiking in this area is excellent, and there are maps and books in the room, and a picnic lunch is provided -...

My wife and I stayed for three nights in the surprisingly lively mountain village of Montejaque. Chris, the owner, was fantastic throughout our stay, and we were impressed by the cooking of his new chef from New Zealand. We ate like royalty every evening and breakfast, while enjoying the wonders of the Sierra de Grazalema during the day (including a...

Elefante Amarillo lived up to our expectations and more - its location in the centre of the village was easy to find and once through the doors we were looked after by Chris and his staff in a friendly, helpful manner at all times. The restaurant was well patronised by the guests and locals which was a good reflection of...

What a place! The location is awesome, and the hotel is restful and spacious, with a friendly atmosphere. Our room was clean and stylish, and nothing was too much trouble for Chris, the owner. We ate in the restaurant most evenings, along with locals (always a good sign) and other residents (a group of walkers, who were staying, also ate...
