Every aspect of our stay was (for lack of a better word) perfect. The rooms were spotless, the lobby and bar area were beautiful, Marquis at the front desk was a daily delight who greeted our entire entourage with warm enthusiasm every single time we entered the lobby. All of the Valets were wonderful but two stood out, Breche and Kyle. Every morning they greeted us like family, holding the doors, helping with luggage, getting car doors and always with a friendly smile. The restaurant, The Fia, served food that was to die for. The charred octopus appetizer was so tender and buttery it could have been cut with a fork and was perfectly complimented with vegetables and spices. The duck main course with red cabbage was so perfectly cooked it nearly melted in my mouth. The wait staff was charming, very expedient, and served our loud, numerous clan with a perfect smile. The shuttle driver, Craig, went out of his way nearly every single day to ensure that we were all wherever we wanted to be, either individually or as a group and he made sure we were on time, he definitely gets an A+ as well! Everyone was so polite and welcoming I can't imagine staying in Atlanta without staying at The Burgess. I would give this location two very happy thumbs up and would never hesitate to recommend all aspects of this hotel to anyone, whether they are friends, colleagues, family, or even strangers. Best place I have ever stayed!

I was on travel for business last week and stayed at the Burgess Hotel with five colleagues. What a great hotel , lobby was cool and fun and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The rooms had a comfy bed and quite AC so had a great night sleep. We had reserved a board room so we were able to spread out and the staff even offered us larger conference room if we wanted it. The Hotel was loaded with great artwork in the lobby, halls, and rooms which provided some great conversation as we were waiting to meet for dinner. We found it to be a great hidden value and would recommend to anyone looking for something more than the standard boring hotels where you cant even tell what city you are in.

Dear Chip O, Thank you for the excellent review! You understand who we are... a unique boutique experience offering an unforgettable luxury lifestyle experience. As you mentioned we have selected original artwork, custom furniture, and found objects from Asia and beyond, The Burgess revels in the details. We are so glad you had a great experience and that you were able to dine in Fia restaurant and utilize our meeting room. We'd love to host you again when you are back in Buckhead.

This is our second time going to this hotel. The first was before the renovation when it was just a Wyndham and the second was after it was remade into the Burgess. The location is very good. The reno they did makes it look very modern and up scale. The staff were really nice and helpful. They tack on a $35 parking fee per night which is steep for a generic parking lot. The only complaint I had about the room was the AC kinda sucked. The hallways were pretty muggy and the thermostat in the room never read below 76 during our entire stay despite commanding it to 70 deg. The rooms just have one of those large window type units. It felt ‘okay’ but could have been better given the other large investments they made in the property. Any restaurant was shut down due to COVID. Also the rooms were being made up every 3rd day where if you needed any supplies (towels, toilet paper, etc) you were supposed to ask the front desk daily.

The Hotel was clean and nice but they deceived me with the $35.00 parking fee.
The check in form stated that self-parking was $35.00/day and valet parking was available so we let the valet park the car only to be charged $35.00/day. Upon returning to our room the second night we discovered that housekeeping had not made the bed or place clean towels in the room. At check out when I inquired they said it was because of Covid. I explained that the CDC just announced that the covid restrictions were over so then the clerk said "Oh, it's because of monkey pox!" can you believe it? Monkey pox of all the excuses. the card in the room stated that if you leave it on the bed they will make up the bed and if you leave the wet towels on the floor they will replace them, so I left the card on the bed as instructed. Oh yeah...one more thing, As I stumbled down to the lobby one morning I grabbed a bowl of raisin bran, you know the kind in a plastic bowl...they charged me $5.00 for that...what a rip off.
I think I'll try the nice hotel next door with the free parking, free breakfast, and no monkey pox!

This is a very nice, boutique hotel. Staff are great, particularly the van drivers. They were exceptionally nice when taking me to and from the Buckhead Marta station. The prices in the bar and restaurant are extremely high and the food choices are limited. My room was very noisy and bright, being located at the front of the hotel over the entrance and outdoor smoking section. A lot of light spills into the room, under the door from the hallway. There is a very bright, very annoying night light in the bathroom that I couldn't turn off. I closed the bathroom door to try to block it, but the light beams through an opening alongside the bathroom door. Way too bright to sleep.

I was needing to be in Sandy Springs so this hotel on the northern end of Buckhead was a good option. A relatively newly refurbished hotel with a very good restaurant and comfortable bar and sitting areas. The rooms are nicely furnished but the AC/ Heating units in the window seemed to be from a previous time. The bathroom was nicely done with a good shower.
The big negative for me was that while the restaurant is open, it is only open for dinner and there is no breakfast service at all on property. Overall a good nights sleep but the lack of breakfast was a negative.

Hello and thank you for your review. The entire hotel was renovated recently with new AC units as well. After Covid hit we had to shut down all our dining. We've brought back the dinner and will be bringing back the breakfast and lunch in the near future as soon as we can. I do hope you will try us again when you are in Atlanta.

The Burgess appears completely remodeled and updated. It is conveniently located in Buckhead but feels tucked away in a neighborhood rather than in the bustle. We were first met by smiling, friendly, personable staff. Our room was spacious, clean, and decorated to make it feel like a home, not a sterile hotel room. The bath was updated, clean, well lit, and had endless hot water. Plenty of pillows graced the comfortable bed with crispy-soft cotton luxury sheets. The only sound we heard was the hum of the room AC/heat- no road noise! Each of our Uber’s arrived within 5 minutes of the call. A very nice accommodation in Atlanta.

Stayed here for business in Atlanta area in mid-November. Upon checking in on a Sunday night, was greeted at the front desk by the owner, Frannie and Yannick, Director of Operations. They could not have been more welcoming and gave me a tour of the amenities the hotel had to offer. When you walk in the hotel, you feel as if you are entering someone's living room with beautiful furnishings and decor. Much thought has been put into the design choices, as if you were the owner placing books, artwork, and special touches for your guest to feel at home. The same goes for the guest rooms which are comfortably and elegantly decorated. You will not find ice machines on the guest levels so as not to disturb the other guests and the restaurant Fia has amazing food; try the grilled meatballs, so delicious! But service from all the staff was above and beyond and they made you feel as though you were family. The location is tremendous, so close to shopping, restaurants and downtown Atlanta. I will definitely be back to stay!!!

This hotel was lovingly refreshed and renovated and re-opened two years ago. There are no carpets in the rooms, which means no weird smells. The shower is large and the floor of the shower is pebbled enough so you don’t slip. The rooms are uniquely styled. It’s obvious somebody thought about the comfort of the traveler when they designed the rooms and the hotel itself. There is a large lobby with a bar and separate library/reading/gathering space. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I came to visit my mother and celebrate my birthday and staying at The Burgess was a true delight and a trip I will never forget.

Yannick and one of the owners, Frannie, greeted me and welcomed me warmly at check-in. I booked through a third-party so my tip for anyone else when doing the same is to check with the hotel directly to ensure your chosen room will be available. After a short wait and a comped drink for my time, my room was available and it was one of the best rooms I've ever stayed in. Absolutely gorgeous. The Balinese suite is so beautifully appointed with art work and furniture that makes you feel like a Queen.

From the food to the drinks to the hospitality of every staff person (Briannia (hostess), Shaquille (night manager), two bartenders ( I didn't get their names), and another desk clerk whose name I didn't get, this stay rivaled ones at international hotels hands down.

One of my favorite places in the hotel is the library. Wonderfully curated and decorated, I enjoyed sipping a cocktail and reading while chatting with fellow hotel guests. One person was so sweet that she treated me to a birthday drink and snack unbeknownst to me! If she reads this review, thanks so much for your thoughtfulness! Truly, everything about this stay was lovely and I will definitely be staying here again upon my next trip to Atlanta.

Again, Yannick (Dir of Operations) was amazing throughout my stay making sure I had everything I needed. He makes every guest feel special and like they are at home away from home. Reward him!

There is a complimentary shuttle service which covers a 3 mile radius. This means that the Atlanta History Museum and Swan House can be visited using the shuttle since those are less than 2 miles. However, you would need an alternative mode of transport for the others.
