The Tru by Hilton Atlanta Galleria Ballpark garners high marks for its cleanliness, with guests frequently lauding the pristine rooms and well-maintained premises. Its location is a hit, nestled conveniently near The Battery Atlanta and Truist Park, and easily accessible from the interstate. Guests often consider the hotel a great find for the price, offering cozy accommodations with appreciated amenities, though some note room features could be enhanced. While the service generally receives accolades for staff attentiveness, a few guests have experienced less attentive interactions. The modern atmosphere and inviting common areas add to the overall positive experience, despite occasional room maintenance issues noted by some visitors.

I agree with the positive reviews. We did not attend a baseball game, but needed a hotel for the night while passing through on a road trip. Tru was the best value for location and convenience to the interstate. The hotel is newer and had great service. It was clean and quiet and comfortable.

Booked a night stay here because we were going to a Braves game and wanted to enjoy the evening out at the game and the Battery afterward. We’d never stayed at a Tru location before and were pleasantly pleased with the location and amenities. The hotel is very well appointed, staff are friendly, beds are comfy and the entire place is very clean! I especially appreciated the lack of carpet in the rooms - the composite flooring just seemed so much cleaner to me than the typical wall to wall carpeting in other hotel rooms. The hotel is less than a mile walk from Truist Park and the Battery, which made it a perfect location for our little baseball getaway!

If you read my review of the Moxy Hotel Vanderbilt, Nashville, you'll see the difference between the Tru brand of Hilton and the Moxy Marriott brand. Both brands are seeking a lower priced offering but with enough amenities to attract new, perhaps younger travelers. This hotel has a great mix of amenities, including a help-yourself breakfast that is pretty standard in mid-range hotels now. The room was clean, modern, bed was comfortable. No complaints.

It is an upgraded dorm. If you’re a college kid, you might be alright. It is definitely not worth the money. Marriot a few miles away where we ended up after we checked out of Tru at 1:30am the evening we checked in because of how strong the smoke smell was in our kids’ room, is like night and day for a few dollars extra (about 20). The savings at Tru weren’t with it so much so that we left at sunrise! My kids also said it was like night and day when we arrived at Marriot for the rest of our weekend stay.. they wondered why we hadn’t come there in the first place. I will tell you we learnt our lesson! Indeed you get what you pay for, only this was an expensive bad experience!

The room was nice and clean. The mattress was soft (which some people prefer) and the pillows were your average flimsy pillows that you need 7 just to maintain some support while you sleep. Staying in the even numbered rooms are loud.. the road noise was between monster truck and drag racing most of the night since you are close to the interstate. The hotel is convenient to The Battery and the Braves stadium if that’s why you are planning to stay here. There were plenty of towels but the shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser in the shower needed to be refilled. It’s a nice concept but needed attention. The room above us was loud and since the floors aren’t carpet, we heard stomping most of the night.

The location was great, the evening shift clerk was lovely but everyone else seemed not very friendly. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was hit and miss (we were there 2 days) No yogurt on second day. The eggs were good.
The rooms were done on a tight budget, cheap furniture, no where comfy to sit, no closet just hooks, very thin walls. The color scheme is eclectic at best. I feel like it is between small child friendly and attempting to appeal to teens. When you are on the elevator the button makes a clanging noise like a bell when pushed. Seems too immature to appeal to adults (please see pictures)

Housekeeping ignored our/their do not disturb, resting sign. She banged on the door just after 8am. Then again just after 9am. Then again 45 minutes later. All the while in between, she banged every door and wall possible making loud noises all along so that we couldn’t possibly sleep. She also did this to the people across the hall from us who also had a DND sign up. She never apologized, ever. Then I checked out online at noon. But a male housekeeping Mgr came knocking on the door asking if we were leaving or staying. I told him I had had it with them and he needed to check his records because I checked out online and I was Diamond member for years and this was unacceptable treatment. Will never stay here again.
If you are going to a Braves game or to The Roxy just know it is walkable but it is uphill and it is several blocks away and not very lit and safe feeling coming back afterwards. There is a bus stop one block down and you could take the bus. Just don’t plan on sleeping in if you stay here. The front desk did nothing to accommodate the hardship either. Won’t be back.

I traveled this past weekend for a rather long stay to Cobb County for a tradeshow at the Cobb Galleria and am blown away by the service that I have received at the tru by Hilton ballpark area. Due to the fact that I was traveling for a tradeshow, I had to ship numerous packages to the Atlanta area for selling at the show so I chose to ship everything to my hotel for my visit. Typically, hotels leave packages in the lobby, sometimes a package room or a service area but the team at this property moved everything to my room for safe keeping (not a standard in this industry). I travel to this show twice a year and have never received this service from properties that are considered “more superior.”

The best part though is the fact that my “best in class” customer service didn’t stop there. I have always been greeted with a smile, solid recommendations on places to eat in the area with additional suggestions on things to do.

I am a Hilton Diamond member and have stayed at properties across the country but rarely receive this level of service and genuine friendliness that I have received at this property.

If you plan to stay in the ballpark area, I would highly recommend this property as it is one of the best in the area.

Unfriendly staff, room light didn’t work, lock didn’t work in first room. Definitely won’t stay here ever again. Linens were of poor quality. Coffee was terrible. Paid parking and they out your room number on the parking pass letting anyone know what room you are staying in.

Spartan, small room, but very clean & contemporary . No cabinets, drawers, or closets…not needed when just passing through for the night. There are open shelves & hangers, helping prevent you from forgetting your belongings. No in-room coffee maker, ugly art on the walls, or smelly carpet, but there IS a fridge, a hairdryer, AND a nightlight in the bathroom.
Breakfast was included…the usual fare…something for most tastebuds, and the coffee was quite good. They did have trouble keeping up with the demand.
Staff were friendly enough, not overly so.
All in all, it was a great value and I would definitely stay there again if I passed through the area at stopping time.

I am not aware of a wheelchair friendly route. It is a fairly steep uphill route to the ballpark, and we did have to take some stairs near the stadium. I'm not sure if you could bypass the stairs and enter at a different section of the park or not.
