I stayed in this hotel for a week with my girlfriend and immediately we found ourselves comfortable and settled in. The valet and staff at the front desk were friendly and made the check-in process smooth and answered all of our questions about parking and the hotel amenities. We had a one bedroom suite equipped with a full kitchen, walk in shower and bath tub, and a balcony. Our room was very clean upon arrival which was reassuring considering the pandemic. We did a little extra disinfecting for our own comfort, and then were able to unpack our things and enjoy our stay. Overall, I definitely would recommend staying here.

I reserved a romantic package for my husband and best friend, so we could all go to an event at tge Aquarium. The package included champagne, chocolate strawberries, valet parking and a 2p.m. checkout. When I asked if there was anything to know about the valet (after checking in) I was told it would be $32. I mentioned tge package. The clerk checked on it and then agreed with me. Next, he told me check out was at noon. "2p.m.," I corrected. He checked again, took my keys back and updated them. The room was nice. Love tge xeilings, ceilings, and view. It was very clean, although more than one coffee pod would have been better, but they did bring them promptly when asked. The champagne, disappointingly, was a Spumonte. No room service was available. In fact, you Gould not call in an order, you had to go order from the one amazing human who appeared to be the only employee in the restaurant. There was no way to get a bloody Mary at noon. They didn't have any tomato juice. Tge maid was not told that we had a late checkout so we had to tell her. We did order brunch and waited downstairs for it. Although their restaurant has a fish logo and is called Catch 12, the shrimp and grits were disappointing. The grits were creamy, but they came with 5 medium sized shrimp (tail-on) with no seasoning or garnish, no butter and just after salt and pepper packs, in with the plastic utensils. This place used to be awesome.

I was excited to welcome my best friend and niece to Atlanta after many years away. I booked Twelve Downtown for the space and walkability to attractions. Upon retiring for the night we found stains throughout the room. Looked like previous a guest left vomit near the headboard. Parts of the bathroom and kitchen had dried "food" stains too. Front desk quickly moved to another room, but we still felt uneasy. Cleaning is supposed to be ramped up due to COVID19. Everything was marked sanitized in the first room, but obviously cleaning wasn't thorough.

Avoid at all costs! Valet will not protect your belongings and your car will be rummaged through! Want to complain? Don’t waste your time because they won’t do anything about it!

I recently stayed at the Twelve Downtown location on Saturday Oct 2nd, checking out Oct 3rd. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and were super excited to stay at your autograph collection hotel. The room was nice, however, we booked and paid for a King Corner Suite with a city view and were put in a regular room with not much of a view. Also, we were provided with dirty towels after waiting an hour for them to arrive (requested thru the Bonvoy Marriott App). The mattress/bed was severely worn out. The middle of the mattress was sunken in and we did not get a good night’s rest. The next day at breakfast, we waited almost an hour for our food to be prepared, and the waiter overcharged us and then tried to say our vouchers were not valid for the type of meal that we ordered. Upon checkout, we did speak with the manager who offered to take a charge off the room, which was fine. However, things changed when we picked up our car from Valet, my boyfriend’s glove compartment was open in his vehicle. We questioned valet about it who claimed that the car was like that when he went to bring it to us. The staff acted clueless, even the manager. No one could give us any answers as to what happened or who was in my boyfriend’s vehicle. The manager basically said there was nothing she could do and shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. This is unacceptable. You’d think that staying at a hotel of this caliber, paying $400 a night, you’d get better service than what was received. We’re paying valet to take care of our things and they can’t even lock the car doors or roll the windows up? Honestly, I’ve had better experiences at Embassy Suites than what I experienced at the Twelve. After speaking with management in a few different departments and only getting a “resolution” of 1/4 off what we paid for the room, we’re told there’s nothing else they can do. It’s beyond about more than just compensation at this point when our personal property was violated! We will NEVER be returning to any establishment associated with the Twelve brand. I’d encourage you to look elsewhere if you’re looking for a relaxing, worry free getaway.

Booked two queen beds for $350 per night. Checked in and was told we only had one king bed and that they could not honor the two beds. Showed Desk attendant our reservation on Expedia that said two queen beds. She said they were full and could not honor the two queens. She actually even said they had to save the preferred rooms for their higher level customers. When I explained how frustrating it is to pay $350 a night for a room and not get the two beds we booked she explained that she knows it’s frustrating and that “you’d have to understand the hospitality industry” to understand how it works.

This hotel was a terrible experience. The rooms were dirty. I have a young son, and there was a piece of what I hope was chocolate covered something on the floor that I found the moment we checked in. I found it before my son put it in his mouth and choked on it. The valet service members are horrible to interact with rude, condescending and completely unhelpful. You are forced to have to deal with them because they are valet only. I had to fret they might do something to my car. Luckily it has extensive monitoring capabilities. So besides discourteous staff, and the rooms being dirty, the next day housekeeping didn’t provide us with any fresh towels. They left us with absolutely nothing to use. We had to call the front desk and request some new ones. And then, in the evening time they blasted music for three hours straight, regardless of requesting it be turned down due to the noise and being unable to get my son to go to sleep. I requested this more than once and was rudely treated and ignored. They finally turned the noise off at 10 pm when the when the pool closed. Not only was there noise, there were people downstairs, screaming and yelling, and obviously drunk. Clearly this hotel cares nothing for it’s hotel guests, but only for the people at the bar. I paid top dollar for a two bedroom suite about $1000 total not including valet or room service, of course, absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never had this type of experience in a hotel that’s supposed to be of this caliber. I will never stay here again or any of Marriott autograph collection. I don’t know if its even worth staying at a Marriott again. Too much competition to put up with this kind of horrible customer care. When you pay for a nice hotel you’re expecting to be paying for the experience as much as the hotel. This location has a lot of traffic noise, and sirens that we tolerated the first night (which was music to the ears when the horrible actual music was finally turned off). Don’t stay here if you like cleanliness, kindness, courtesy, and peacefulness, as none of those are provided here.

We were in town for the B52’s concert, Sat 1/7/23. After a long drive to Atlanta wanted to get up to the room, girls needed to use the restroom.

The bad: Two separate times arriving at the room and the key card would not work. No apologies from the clerk behind the counter and she gave the impression that she was inconvenienced. My wife asked if there was a restroom available in the lobby and was told yes, clerk pointed around the corner. My wife, hurried, went to hand the key cards over to the clerk and the one of the cards fell out of the sleeve and fell on the keyboard. There was a very strong reaction from the clerk and she started saying I don’t need to be treated like that, she needs to get her attitude in check, etc. very embarrassing and honestly way over the top. I made an apology trying to defuse the situation but the clerk continued and at one point said I don’t know if you should even stay here (Manager: watch the video to confirm my statements). If we hadn’t driven so far and had the concert, I would have looked for another place to stay at this point.

The Good: The security guard (Gary) walked over and offered to accompany me to the room to troubleshoot the problem. It seems the lock requires a charge and if low, does not work. He had a battery pack with him, he hooked it up and said by the time we leave for the concert, the battery should be charged and no more issues. I thanked him for his help and when ready, brought the battery back to Gary informing him there are no more problems. He was great, thank you.

The clerk continued to glare at my wife when ever we walked though the lobby. Very uncomfortable and will not be back.

Don’t be fooled by appearances this hotel is very noisy! The suites are lovely but if you’re sensitive to noise skip this hotel. The first room I got overlooked the highway and because it has a huge windows all the noise came through. So I asked to change rooms on the other side by the pool and they told me it was much quieter. It was until someone started singing from below. It was so loud that even the TV could not drown it out. I called the front desk and they told me that it was an event organized by the residence and they could do nothing about it!

We were in Atlanta for a few days to do typical sightseeing (Coca Cola, aquarium, etc) and this was the perfect location with enough breathing room for our family of five. The rooms are big, stylish and comfy and the gym is more like a "real" gym than a hotel gym. Big shout out to Demi who handled some hiccups with our room requests and was always super helpful and friendly!

We had a king suite. The kitchen was very spacious and nice. The living room comfy and the bed was superb. Business travelers with per diem can use the kitchen to save money and feel a bit like being at home.
A great location and awesome space.

Is there a hotel shuttle from the airport? Is there shuttle service to any attractions?
Answer from RustinMoore
Atlanta, Georgia3 contributions2 helpful votes
Greetings. There is no shuttle to or from the airport but for $2.50 you can take the MARTA from the airport to the doorsteps of the hotel. Just take the MARTA north to the Civic Center station and we are right next door. As far as local attractions, the hotel is only a .5 mile walk to Centennial Olympic Park and all of its surrounding attractions like the GA Aquarium, Civil Rights Museum and World of Coke.
