The hotel was very nice. Nothing at all to complain about as far as the room and facilities are concerned. Housekeeping service is limited on weekends but is available if you ask for it. It seems to be oriented to business travelers and temporary workers. Beware that parking is valet only so expect to pay some tips on top of the pricey $33 daily rate. In addition, there appears to be a 5 per day hotel/motel tax that was not on the reservation total.

I’m a Hilton Honors member and typically stay at Hampton Inn or Hilton. In this case those were full so tried Home 2 Suites. Very pleased with room and overall service. Room included full size refrigerator as well as a dishwasher, kitchen sink and microwave. We were there for weekend and ate out, but setup was good for folks who stay longer or prefer to bring and fix own food. Hotel has continental breakfast. I expected it to be like Hampton or Hilton but it wasn’t. It had much less selection. Food was good, just very limited choices.
Biggest issue for me was parking. They have underground parking which is nice but the spaces and lanes are very small. Drove a Ford Escape and it felt like maneuvering a tank. Signs say it was 2 lanes but there’s no way. When I was leaving and another car was entering, I had to back up into a space to let them pass. No hope for full size cars, trucks, vans or SUVs.

I love Hilton properties but this time ...
I did not receive a bag of bottled water.
There was a box of condoms and papers in one of the cabinets. There were two paper towels and there was an old cardboard box above the kitchen cabinets. This is not to the Hilton standards.

The thing that stood out more than the accommodations was the staff members friendly attitudes! The night shift front desk guy Ollie was GREAT! He was kind, helpful, & friendly! The female security guard on nights Shaun (sorry if that’s misspelled) was SO sweet & helpful literally from the minute we pulled into the parking garage (which seemed so small when you are driving an old suburban!). Then there was Richard the day time security guard— he was so joyful and happy that it was contagious! :)
Although we didn’t have body wash in our room, they provided us with it when we asked. They are apparently phasing out the ones stuck to the shower walls. Also watch your head if your room has the big open shelf above the thermostat… when you bend down to throw something away it’s easy to whack your head on it!
Breakfast selection was good! 6:30-9:30 was the time it’s accessible in lobby. Overall wonderful stay at this location! Plus I like that they keep the front doors locked 24/7 & you have to be buzzed into the parking.

I felt unsafe when checking and being told the doors are locked 24/7 since it's downtown. When I know for sure other Hilton properties downtown doors remain unlocked during business hours and also during the night. My room was next to the elevator you can hear everytime it moves and extra noise with it too. Like jerking or soon to breakdown. The breakfast options was terrible also the associated didn't want to fix more breakfast items, kept us waiting or didn't fix it right (batter mix). During breakfast I asked the front desk to have housekeeping to come in and change all my sheets. Since I found something dirty on my covers the night before. I let her know I had pulled all the linens off the bed already. She told me housekeeping was just getting there that wouldn't be a problem. As I left my room outside my door was housekeeping laundry cart. I didn't see anyone nor said anything to anyone after that. I left and came back about 645pm. When I walked into my room the pile of dirty linen was still on the floor where I left it that morning. I went to the desk and was told my the man working the desk. That "if I wanted clean sheets he could give me what he had available up there, laundry/housekeeping was gone for the day so I would have to make my own bed since he was the only person there". He then asked the security guard to get me some linen. I asked him so you want me to do housekeeping job and pay to sleep her too. He said yes & he asked for them to give me half of my points back since I used points & money to pay for my stay he was unable to change my rate. The security guard did bring me towels I had taken them to my room. He then brought me up the linen for the bed. There wasn't a matters cover only fitted sheets two of the blankets they keep upstairs that's no in the laundry. He also explained it was only them two in the building working and the man at the front desk had a broken leg so he can't come and make the bed or take the dirty linen nor go down to laundry to get anything I needed. Also that he is the security guard and he doesn't work for Hilton. I did call the customer service number they made a ticket for my call and I was also told by the supervisor to have Home2Suites check me out and then he(home2suites) could then book me a room at another property 1 mile down the road for the same rate. When I spoke the man at the desk he told me to get all my stuff out the room first. I did & then came back he refused to book me a new room for down the road & told me to call customer service back for help. I felt as if I didn't matter as a customer let alone nothing like a Hilton honors member. I have stayed in many of Hilton brands wthin many of cities. This has been the worst and makes me not want to ever come back to Atlanta

Kizwana D It is clear that you were not happy with your stay with us. I do apologize. I will address the security issue. We do keep doors locked 24/7 as an added measure of security. We are in the midst of a very busy downtown area and many of our guests greatly appreciate that we do keep the doors locked. Some of the area hotels do not go to the extent that we do for security and that is a choice that they make. I'm sure that your experience would be significantly different/improved if you were to return. Thank you again for staying with us.

I am a platinum honors member (i know means nothing) however at least the normally give you water well not at this location. So I go to my room and find no comforter on the bed I try and call the desk but the phone doesn’t even work. I go back down and let her know about the issue. She said are you sure? I’m yep pretty sure. She gives me a new room where I come in and use the restroom and there is pubic hair on facial tissue holder, hair all over the shower, and mold around the toilet. I travel for work all the time and I have to say this is very normal for Hilton properties. There management needs to start doing room inspection and getting the housekeeping staff in check. You would think since they don’t clean your room on a daily basis anymore they would have more time to actually clean the few rooms that is asked of them.

Hotel just opened as a Home2 Suites recently so naturally some kinks to work out. Room was extremely clean and beds extremely comfortable. The location is great, short walk to downtown midtown and a block from the Marta. My first stay was in January 2020 and the entire 9th floor smelled of cigarette smoke (this is a smoke free hotel). After speaking to a representative of the hotel on two separate days, they acknowledged the issue and placed notice under everyone's door's and signs in the hallway. The smoke eventually subsided but not something I enjoyed for 3 nights seeping into my room.

The second stay, this is where I draw the line. I entered my room and noticed some previous damage on the ceiling. I left for dinner and returned to the ceiling leaking with constant dripping. I informed the front desk who provided a new room which was incredibly frustrating as no assistance was offered after everything was unpacked and a huge inconvenience as the new room was now on the 3rd floor. Also if staying at this hotel choose a higher level floor. On the 3rd floor you can constantly hear traffic, I did not notice this on the 9th floor. Lastly for my review is the breakfast this hotel does not (or did not during my stays) offer the typical breakfast sandwiches that a Home2 offers.

Currently staying here the first week of July ‘22. Common areas are nasty and worn. Carpets look like they belong in a frat house or animal shelter. After the first night’s stay we had to change rooms because we discovered our door didn’t latch and lock securely. Even though the staff had all day to get our new room ready, the afternoon front desk person hadn’t taken care of it so they rushed to find a new room with a very quick and incomplete cleaning. One bed hadn’t been made, neither bed had pillow cases, and the linens on the unmade bed were stained. The bathroom floor is really slippery for god only knows what reason. Soap film or spilled shower gel perhaps.

Having stayed in a Home2Suites in Nashville this same week with a similar experience of uncleanliness and faulty fixtures, it seems apparent that this chain doesn’t have its act together. I’m not a clean freak but an absolute basic expectation, especially in the Covid era, is that hotel rooms not be as dirty as a rent by the hour room, and the doors latch and lock properly.

Visiting for a work trip. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was a good start to the day. Hand sanitizer readily available you can tell that cleaning and disinfecting is a priority.

7 might be generous. I give this mostly because the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. As far as the room, I’d give it a 3 at best. The bathroom sink was encircled with mold and mildew around the faucet and around the drain. The use of dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash screened high school gym. It didn’t matter much, since all the levers were broken and you couldn’t use them anyway. The kitchen floor felt like someone had spilled a sugar drink all over it and it had just been cleaned up with a paper towel. There was a “sticky” that stayed on your shoes all the way across the floor to the door. One of the 2 queen beds was made with the mattress topper put on ABOVE the sheets and directly under the comforter. Even worse was the mattress topper had either chocolate or dried blood on it. I will assume chocolate because my mind can’t reconcile a bloody piece of bedding being used. The other of the queen beds had 2 mattress toppers on it -one below the fitted sheet, one above. Thankfully, none had any other residue on them. One of the beds had 3 standard size pillows, the other bed had 2 standard pillows and one king size pillow but just had a standard pillowcase covering it. The HVAC unit had 2 speeds - Off, and Mach 5 polar ice cap. It would be freezing, then would get almost muggy, before freezing again.
Please keep in mind that we are Diamond members. We travel a great deal and we see a lot of Hilton properties. The staff was very nice, but the accommodations would not make you proud to call them Hilton. It will, without doubt, be the last time we stay at this particular Hilton property. And we will ensure everyone we speak to knows to avoid it as well.
