Fantastic 1 night stay here with my husband and 2 children and another family. Rooms very basic but perfect for a short stay, the pool great for the kids and the food in the restaurant was fantastic and we were served numerous tapas plates in typical Spanish style all free of charge which was a nice treat.

I enjoyed the one night I spent here. The older structure is well-maintained and the traditional furnishings were a pleasant change of pace. Some reviewers complained of being cold, but I found my room to be cozy. I had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. It was crowded inside so I chose a table on the terrace and the very busy...

I stayed here for a 3 month period with other students from Arkansas. We lived here for most of the time and the staff always took care of us. They do not speak much English but can still understand what a person needs. Very friendly and very helpful in all aspects of travel.

A great traditional place to stay. Rooms are spacious, plenty of history, friendly helpful staff and great food. It's an ideal location for the San Juan fiesta in June if you want to watch the water run (noche de agua), but not take part. It is one of the few hotels that has a swimming pool which is large and...

This is a beautiful looking hotel full of interesting features and has a great location but the experience in the restaraunt was not good. Reluctant service cold food some not as described on the menu. A real shame and we won't be returning.

Stated here from 10-16 sept 2015 , great little hotel , good food . Beds were comfortable & rooms clean & tidy . The staff couldn't do enough from you , packed lunches for the hiking were substantial , excellent service from the bar-staff to the cleaners .

This is a lovely traditional hotel. They give masses of tapas with a drinks order so that you don't really need a meal. Don't look for sophistication and eat the local foods on the menu. Staff were a little chaotic but friendly and they got there in the end. I would happily recommend this hotel

I stayed in Espana Hotel as part of a group of students who studied abroad in Lanjaron. While it can be difficult to study abroad, much less do it while living in a hotel, this place made it comfortable and homey. Although it was pretty cold during the beginning of our stay here, the hotel staff made sure to give...

Stayed at the Espana while mountaineering in the Sierra Nevada. The staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful while the food and beer were good value and very tasty. The rooms were clean but would benefit from some slightly more modern fittings (bring your own kettle) but overall a good place to stay in the region.

Loved the Espana Hotel for its willingness to stand firm against modern mediocrity and deliver good old fashioned..value..charm and history which made a one night stay a real pleasure. The decor is amazing..the staff friendly and discreet..rooms are comfortable..spotless and spacious. Added bonus of a sparkling swimming pool with a generous lounging area with plenty of sunbeds for that end...
