We were in town to track down some really old family history and finished up the day with dinner at the Colonial Inn. It is sometimes difficult to imagine that this was active in the Revolutionary War, nearly 250 years ago..!! Granted, it has been through several renovations and makeovers, but I love the chance to enjoy a nice meal...

You don't stay here to get what you always got. There's tremendous history to this place, so plan to read and appreciate it when you come. If you don't care about that, don't stay here. Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is an easy walk, the Old North Bridge a bit farther. Rooms are a bit spartan, more or less keeping with the...

We stayed here for a family reunion back in July. There were 35 of us all together, we all had a fabulous stay at this hotel!!! This hotel screams history!! Our room was lovely, I was one of the first of my family to book at the hotel, I wanted to make sure we got a great room, and we...

We stayed here for one night because we had a wedding in Concord. The hotel was kind of enough to let us check in about 1:30 so we could change clothes for the wedding. The receptionist led us to our room in the Prescott wing which was in the sub basement of the building. She didn't offer to help us...

The building is 300 years old with alot of history. Decent restaurants & bars. They do not mention room service, but you can order at the restaurant & they will deliver. Great servers in the bars. Room 24 was used as a Surgery during Revolutionary War. Rumors say room is haunted.

Nice old Inn. long on charm Quite busy on weekends so noisy but rooms over rear parking lot quiet. Food is quite good especially breakfast. Room rates run over $230. Web site conveys atmosphere. Concord is full of early American Revolutionary charm so many tourists.

went to their main dining room this past wkend; only 4 tables occupied - very quiet... Food was average, portions - good sized... Nothing great and nothing bad..but with so few customers..had to constantly flag down server for refills on coffee and water...which was a bit annoying.... Lovely historical setting; might return but go to the tavern, which is less...

We stayed here for two nights while sight seeing in Concord and Lexington and it was the perfect home base. After reading bad reviews about the addition I called and specifically requested a room in the 1716 portion of the house and was not disappointed. Our room was huge and had everything we needed including a lovely view. We ate...

The cottages that are available are very nice and comfortable. The one my family stayed in was the top floor cottage, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The forge restaurant in the inn was fun and the food was great. The Colonial Inn beer was amazing too. We didn't have time for their other restaurant, but we will definitely come back...

On our way back to Boston, we stopped at Concord located 19 miles away and were so glad we did. Concord is a pretty town rich in U.S. history. This is where “the shot heard round the world” was fired that started the U.S. Revolutionary War at the Battle of Lexington and Concord. We suggest you park near the historic...
