We spent a few days at the end of June at this lovely hotel warmly welcomed by Clara and Joan. I can't praise it enough and it's a world away from modern off-the-peg hotels. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and romantic and the restaurant is excellent. We managed a daytrip to Barcelona by train too - a complete contrast. The...

Great family run hotel - hosts couldn't do enough to help - directions, restaurant recommendations, provided beach towels ect. Hotel is at the centre of town - great location for shops, restaurants etc Quite hard to reach by car especially if arriving after dark (tip - turn right at the roundabout with the tree in the middle). Only slight problem was...

Of the 13 hotels and B and Bs we stayed in during our European road trip this year, the Aiguaclara was by far the warmest welcome and one of our favourites, despite being one of the least expensive ones. As mentioned by other reviewers, Clara and Joan welcomed us and showed us all the facilities in the hotel. Joan explained...

This hotel has everything. Fantastic location in the middle of a beautiful small town so you can walk to all the bars and restaurants but you're not in the middle of them. Hotel itself is just lovely. Real charm, both the building itself and the owners, who have such a relaxed style and are very helpful. They are welcoming and...

We had an understandable great week at this superb one of kind luxury yet kept to tradition hotel. As a great lover of tradional spanish towns this town 'Begur' retains the feel, love and culture that alot of this coast or slight inland has lost. This is a gem in the crown of the catalans and belive me they know...

Great lovely small hotel in a wonderful, authentic city in Catalunya. We stayed in Hotel Aiguaclara for 10 days and I can really recommend - even a long time stay - there. You can start the day with a healthy breakfast in the hotel-own restaurant and directly explore the city and nearby beaches. Our room had a huge terrace with...

The Aiguaclara is a beautiful hotel in the charming city of Begur. It was a totally unique experience with conveniences that exceeded our expectations. Our room was nicely decorated with unique art and funky antiques and had great amenities like huge plush towels and very comfortable bedding. The owners, Clara and Joan, were extremely helpful, providing dining and sightseeing advice,...

I had a good feeling about the Aiguaclara before we even arrived as emails confirming our reservation were friendly and informal. We stayed for a total of 6 nights mid June and couldn't have asked for a nicer hotel. It was beautifully decorated, extremely tasteful with a personal touch that can't be found in most hotels. We were greeted by...

Location: staying in Begur is an excellent choice, the village is beautiful with lots of great restaurants, and you're perfectly located at 5 minutes from various superb beaches. Accomodation: the rooms are spacious and trully beautiful, all decorated with tast like the whole mansion. We stayed 3days in the...
