We stayed at this hotel on our journey north. It is in a converted convent not far off the motorway. Interesting old building but lacks any warmth and soul. We had a superior room which was bright and a good size with a view of the mountains. However, the bathroom looked very tired around the edges and fittings, not somewhere... More

Good location, only a short journey from the motorway. Comfortable room with much needed air-con. Nice places to sit and relax with a drink and excellent breakfast included with a huge selection of cold and hot food. Parking easy.

Easy to find due to good signposting, excellent reception staff, and our room was quite spacious, and had a magnificent view of the Mountains. We had a wander into Hervas itself and sat in a bar in the second square for a sundowner, accompanied by the usual tapas. As we were relatively early in both the year and the evening... More

The following is taken from a solo motorcycle road trip I undertook for an online magazine, Resting just above a valley below the Castañar Gallego Mountain, Hervás is a picturesque rural town with an interesting mix of the old and the new, with a thriving culture of café bars and historic buildings. I needn’t have worried about finding the hotel,... More

We booked this hotel purely on the basis of its location about an hour's drive south of Salamanca. We regularly drive down to Portugal with our dog and had yet to find a really good stop-over just South of Salamanca. However, our search is now over! The directions provided were excellent and we found the hotel without any difficuluty. The... More

Hervás is a lovely turn with much to offer - but this hotel. It looks so good on there outside, but a quick walk around should have warned us: a central fountain surrounded by dirty windows with a dead tree in the middle; worn furniture, dusty tables, etc. We foolishly booked, at a rate of €95/night. To be fair, we... More

Ages old charm on the outside with beautifully designed modern interior with a fountain where the 'cour' used to be. Very comfortable room, friendly staff and excellent but still very affordable restaurant. On the edge of the Jewish quarter.

Easy to find. Fantastic views of the mountain. Large room. Bar prices good and food in restaurant very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the weather wasn't warm enough to use the pool. Short walk into Hervas itself

We stayed in the Hospederia for two nights and have a relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms are of a good size and the bed is good and comfortable. Breakfast is really nice, make sure you try the Spanish Potato Tortilla , they are delicious. We had dinner in the Hosperedia and it was very good, good local produce but the... More
