Absolutely stunning hotel adjacent to the pier. The view was amazing, we were even able to see the sea from our very comfortable bed which was so lovely. Windows opened more than enough to let the breeze in and it was so nice to be able to hear the sea. Shower was nice and powerful too

Staff were very friendly and always on hand. No cleaning in the rooms due to Covid restrictions however we were able to leave any bags of rubbish in the corridor to be collected by cleaning staff in the morning if we needed to

Only thing we thought could be nicer was breakfast. As someone who doesn't tend to eat much for breakfast, I found it a little awkward to order something small. There's a list of starters (cereals, porridge, grapefruit etc) and then a main cooked breakfast but I didn't really fancy a big breakfast. When I tried to ask to have my porridge at the same time as my partner's cooked breakfast, the waitress didn't seem to understand what I meant, so we ended up eating separately. Not a big problem but perhaps something that could be taken into consideration

The seating situation was well-handled though. We were given a breakfast time slot at the start of our stay and had to come down for breakfast each morning at that specific time so the restaurant didn't get overcrowded. Other health and safety measures were in place too including a hand sanitizing station in the foyer

Would definitely stay again, would just probably skip the brekky

Stayed at the Hotel de Paris on an Alpha coach tour.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our visit and special mention goes to our waitress for the week and the two lads in the bar.
Our room was on the first floor that could be accessed by lift or stairs, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a five day stay, it was en-suite with a walk in shower. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided (topped up on request), towels were provided but toiletries were limited to a small bar of soap. a hair dryer was provided along with a wall mounted flat-screen TV.
The restaurant area looked like it had been recently directed and overlooked the sea and pier. Breakfast was part self-service for cereals, juices, yogurt etc. while a good choice of cooked breakfasts could be ordered via the waitress. I was part of a party of eleven and I don't recall any negative comments about the breakfasts or service.
The evening meal consisted of three courses plus coffee and the choice on offer was very good catering with meat, fish and vegetarian options available each night plus salads. Portion sizes were generous (too generous my clothes are telling me!) and the food was well cooked and in the main very tasty.
In the evening entertainment was provided in the form of bingo and guest artists (quiz one night), the dining room doubling up as an entertainment room, there was also a comfortable seating area in the bar.
Drinks were reasonably priced (for a hotel) and there were some offers on house spirits. The only minor quibble we had was regarding the bar opening hours, the bar only opening at five and last orders at 10.45. It would have been nice to have had use of the bar earlier in the afternoon and slightly later serving hours but this didn't spoil our stay.
This was our first visit to this hotel and we didn't know what to expect but we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this hotel on a Leisureplex New Years Eve Special Break. What super value for money. The hotel is right on the seafront looking down on Cromer Peir ,it was a bit chilly outside but nice and warm inside. The hotel is Victorian and does need a bit of TLC but this did not distract from our stay.
We were on a dinner bed and breakfast basis but had lunch provided on the second day and an afternoon buffet on the third day.
No meals were small and the full English Breakfast was as stated "a full English"
The staff were great and very hard working.
It is easy to be critical but for what we paid it was fantastic value for money and any bits of dodgy decorating was of no interest.Would we stay here again, yes without a doubt.

We booked through a third party, costing over £500 for 6 nights for B & B. We were in a small twin room at the back of the hotel, over a street & closely facing a pub. The window was fixed at 12 inches to open & there was no throught draught. We were roasting hot during our stay. Having asked for another room we were told we had paid for a Standard Room & there were no others available. The street/pub noise went on until midnight. the noise from delivery trucks, bin men etc started at 05.30am. below the window. Sleeping was very difficult for our stay. At breakfast we had to ask for sugar every day for tea/coffee & the staff were polite & tried hard, but were overworked trying to serve everyone. This is a hotel which mainly provides accomodation for Alfa Coach Tours & I feel that priority is given to those people regarding room allocation. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, if you want your room serviced you have to pack up all your belongings back into suitcases, so we didn't have room service throughout the stay. Complimentary toiletries are a bar of soap each. Pluses were - it is close to the beach & the pillows were new & comfortable.

I would love to say nicer things as the building itself could be beautiful once again. However, it now looks cheep and unloved and on its knees. It is clean. We paid £119 for 1 night for a room with the smoke detector hanging off the ceiling and the curtains hanging off the pole. The signal on the tv was poor and the free WiFi constantly too poor to work.
The lady on reception who treated us at 2pm was lovely friendly and welcoming even though our booking had not show on her record initially. The receptionist who replaced her later was miserable and gave everyone dirty looks who walked past..we won’t be staying here again. I think it’s more for the over 90’s who prefer dinner before and breakfast. No thank you. Not sure what breakfast will be like tomorrow but I’m ever the optimist.
This is a 1 or 2 star at best. Sorry. It’s got a great position in Cromer but that’s it. The building could be brought back to life and lived by new generations.

We had high expectations staying in such a lovely Victorian building, but unfortunately felt let down.
When we arrived we were barked at by a member of staff who was stood at the main entrance of the hotel smoking a cigarette (not very professional) telling us we had parked wrongly and to move. It turned out that this staff member was actually of the main desk (we believe to be a manager).
When we’re waiting to check in, we heard another guest complaining that there was no hot water, the woman on the desk assured the guest that although the water heating had been off, it was back on and would soon be warm.
After checking in, we went to our room to find it was quite cold and at best I’d describe the heat coming from the radiators as tepid. Thinking this was probably connected to the problem we’d heard being discussed we didn’t think too much of it, and thought it would warm up, unfortunately that wasn’t the case and the radiators stayed like this for the duration of our stay.
As it was about 5pm when we checked in we got ready straight away, to go for our meal, booked at another establishment. From there we went straight to a show on the pier so didn’t return to the hotel until around 10:30pm, we’d been told when we checked in that the bar was open until 11pm so thought we’d have a quick drink before turning in, only to be met by the man at the bar telling us we were too late and the bar was shut!
The room was still cold when we got back, but as we were going straight to bed thought we’d be fine once we were wrapped up in bed. We pulled back the duvet to find it had several spots of dried blood on it. Not pleasant! The main spots were around the size of a ten pence coin, so couldn’t have been missed when the bed was being made! The fact that they were on the inside of the bed would’ve meant that, had we not of noticed, the dried blood would have been in contact with our skin. Due to it being late, and being tired, we felt the best course of action was to turn the duvet over so the blood was on the outside of the cover. In fairness we did sleep quite well.
In the morning there was still no hot water so had to have a cold wash.
The breakfast was ok! We had our order taken straight away and the full English breakfast was on the table within 2 minutes, super fast service but clearly the food had been sat around and wasn’t prepared fresh in such a short time and was pretty tasteless.
On check out we raised our issues with the staff member on the front desk, who wrote them in a book but seemed as though he was just going through the motions and not really interested.
Safe to say we won’t be returning!!!

As a disabled wheelchair user, I booked this hotel because it was advertised as wheelchair accessible. The hotel had a broken, wooden ramp into the hotel which was far too small and inaccessible without help. The room opened with a key which was set too high in the door for me to reach from a wheelchair. The bathroom could not be accessed as the door frame was not wide enough to fit a wheelchair through and the promised 'walk in' shower had a nine inch step up into it. I was told that I could have a different room from the next day but that no other room would be any more accessible. I was in Cromer for three days, for a funeral and staying at this hotel made a sad time doubly difficult.

Stayed one night as my usual hotel closed. Room very tired, curtains do not meet, wallpaper peeling off, marks in shower. You can hear shower door being opened and closed in next room. Disco or something downstairs till midnight way to loud difficult to sleep. Breakfast OK but won’t stay again.

We had such a lovely time, the hotel staff were so helpful and really friendly. The hotel was spotless and our sea view room was perfect. We had 12 hours of meditation listening to the sea.
I was really impressed with the hand sanitizer that was attached to the toilet doors in the main part of the hotel.
When opening and closing the toilet doors using the handle it sprayed a little hand sanitizer on your hands.

We are so looking forward to staying again in this beautiful hotel. Thank you

Visited on an Alpha coach tour 5-9 August 2020. Hotel currently has scaffolding outside front on all levels so if you are expecting a sea view a metal post view may have to do. The dining arrangements where chaotic to say the least during the first few days and this was simply due to a lack of dining room staff. The young ladies serving the food were very hard working but had too many tables to wait and were running round like headless chickens but not their fault. The food was great and the room was very clean. No complaints at all with either of these. The hotel itself was unbearably hot at times. Don't know if air conditioning is installed but might be an idea to take a fan for your room if weather hot. Staff are friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment is not on at the moment but there is a small bar. The hotel is ideally situated right by the promenade and opposite the pier. Don't want to be too harsh about mealtimes as this was their first week back I think and the situation with Covid makes things difficult as we all know. All in all, a very nice stay at this hotel.
