We used The Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, New Jersey for our wedding weekend in November 2020! We could not have chose a better hotel to stay at and have all of our friends and family stay at for our wedding. The team at the Westin has been working with us for almost a year now and helped us successfully pull off our wedding weekend! Christina could not have been more helpful, patient and enjoyable to work with through the entire process. Jabari also had our back the entire time and helped execute beautiful events and exactly what we were looking for even with COVID restrictions. Planning the wedding weekend during COVID was already stressful enough and I feel so grateful to have chosen and been working with the Westin Governor Morris through this process. They were quick to calm us and let us know they would find a solution and make things work. We held our welcome party and farewell breakfast at the hotel and both events were perfect! The hotel is beautiful and very clean. They were very thoughtful in helping us feel special all weekend and making sure we had everything we needed. If you are contemplating this hotel for your wedding I would highly highly recommend moving forward with the Westin Governor Morris!!!

My new wife and I recently partnered with The Westin Governor Morris for our wedding block, and they were incredibly helpful + easy to work with. Christina and the full Westin team made our entire process as frictionless and positive as possible. Her team quickly accommodated last minute changes, and truly contributed to making our wedding the success that it was. The hotel is going above and beyond with safety protocols to ensure that all guests feel both welcome and protected. The rooms themselves are beautiful, clean, recently updated, and spacious (not to mention reasonably priced). All of our guests had a seamless experience with their stay, and commented on how friendly the full staff were. The hotel itself has a beautiful lobby with a bar, and is also located in a convenient location, right next to major highways as well as close to activities in town. It boasts a large parking lot, and a classic structural design. If getting married in the area, or simply staying in town, highly recommend the Westin Governor Morris!

The strengths of this hotel are primarily the location (quiet and pleasant, not near any highway, close enough for a short drive or reasonable walk into Morristown) and the beds. Westin is known for their "heavenly" beds and this location, with supercomfy mattress, linens and pillows, did not disappoint. In almost every other respect, definitely below other Westins I have experienced. The standard rooms are small and the bathrooms are tiny and poorly designed. It does show recent renovation, but not to a particularly high standard. This seems like a property catering to weddings and conferences, and maybe as a result service was inconsistent and cold from some staff. Were not very forthcoming with upgrades, in spite of being nearly empty. Have stayed at a number of different hotels since COVID hit, and have to say this one is taking the least accomodating and helpful approach. Everything shut down, no facilities, food or beverage options nor regular room servicing unless you arrange it. Not even coffee in the lobby. Basically they seem to be in survival mode and doing the bare minimum. I know hotels are under financial pressure but this seems like a good way to discourage people from coming back. Anyway, I give it four stars in spite of all this because of the nice location, great beds and decent prices at the time of stay. When prices shoot back up, I would not choose this hotel.

I returned to New Jersey earlier this month for the funeral of a close family member. Upon my arrival, and throughout my stay, Kiesha at the front desk greeted me by name each time, was friendly and professional, and made me feel like a "regular". Susan, Director of Operations, was similarly friendly, helpful and professional when she helped me check out and also assisted me with several questions on the day of my departure. Dealing with them both was an absolute pleasure. The hotel parking lot was not crowded at all, and the hotel was nearly empty, but I had a comfortable stay. My room and the common areas were immaculate. My room was spacious and the bed provided me with a restful sleep each night. While the bathroom was not large, the shower was great, with water pressure to my liking and no fluctuation in temperature. The hotel's location was perfect for my needs. It is close to State Highway 24, with easy access to Short Hills Mall and Newark Liberty Airport. It is also close to Interstate 287, which made it easy for me to get to several destinations in Bergen County as needed. It is also a short distance from the town centers of Morristown and Madison. While my trip was a sorrowful one, I am grateful for the experience I had at the Westin Governor Morris.

Stayed one night, thank the Lord. Checking in was long however just two (including myself) were on property. NO open anything, the good notes? Shower was good, bed was okay. A/C worked however a high pitch whine was ever present. Plenty of plugins for the tech. WiFi isn’t free even for elite members. Elevator worked. Down side? Well, paint pealing off the ceiling, room was not clean, food particles left on the floor. Room was also small, had to turn sideways to get around the bed and NO i am not a massive person either. Just another shinning example of a hotel that doesn’t care about the traveler, just get them in & get them out. I will NOT ever return. Nor will any of our crew.
