We used this Country Hotel as our base for looking up old family connections in the north part of Devon and Cornwall. In summary, the welcome was very warm, the accommodation was superb and the food...well the food was really exceptional. Tony and Tina were the perfect hosts. The setting is very special with the house, guest rooms and farm...

Welcoming hosts, tranquil countryside, quite exceptional food, comfortable rooms, and then there are the beavers! To spend time at dusk or dawn quietly watching these magnificent animals in their habitat of ponds and dams which they have created themselves is truly unique and magical. If you care at all about wildlife, then you should go. Thanks to Tony and Tina...

My birthday treat was very special. We arrived to find Tim working away in the extensive vegetable garden. We were greeted warmly and our room was perfect with home made cake to have with our cuppa. Percy's is in the most idyllic location. Tim had told us on the phone about the beavers that inhabit the stream. We set off...

We have visited Percy's restaurant a couple of times with friends and was perfect on every occasion. You get looked after from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave. Places like this are truly special, most of the food comes from their land and each course gets introduced and is positioned perfectly on the plate....

If you are looking for quiet solitude, wonderful country walks, being close to nature, great food (much of it organic and gluten free) and lovely hosts (Tony and Tina) then Percy's is for you The rooms are comfortable but the key to Percy's success are the beautiful setting in the W Devon countryside, Tina's wonderful cooking and the friendliness of...

Thank you Fred for such a fantastic review. It was so lovely to see you both again and meet your two wonderful dogs (especially the older one who used to play with Annie!). We have started lambing today, so sorry that we didn't have lambs on the ground during your stay. We generally start lambing on March 25th, in the...

One of the most charming places to eat we have been to. Immaculate, tasteful and super hosts. This is an intimate restaurant run by a wonderful couple. Much of the food is produced by them and the meals are sumptuous. It's a set menu for around £40, a real delight. Go there.

Thank you so much for the excellent review! Lovely to meet you both and have the opportunity for a chat - albeit brief! So pleased you enjoyed our fare - sometimes recommendations can be a let down! Very much hope to see you again in the not-too-distant future! Very best wishes, Tina & Tony BW

Our family booked the entire hotel for three days over Christmas, including dinner each day. Accommodation is in self contained appartments in what was once the farm's outbuildings and the restaurant and bar in the former farmhouse. Perfect hospitality and cooking. Could not be faulted.

We had a six night stay and it was just fantastic, the location, the food, the friendliness, nothing could be faulted - well maybe the weather, but if Tony could have done anything about that he would of! We had two dogs with us who just loved the whole place and were exhausted every evening from playing on the beaches...
