My husband & I visited here for a meal Monday evening 15 May. I had the chicken chasseur - if you're looking for an expensive school dinner try here. The 'dollop' of mashed potato was grey and tasteless, the chicken LEG had had a life, the sauce was nondescript, the only thing I enjoyed was the green beans. When asked...

Really enjoyed our stay at the Lamb Inn. Dinner in the bar area was very enjoyable and delicious. The cooked breakfast comes straight from the kitchen and was hot and delicious. No tepid buffets here, thank goodness. It makes a refreshing change. We had the Spice Route room which was quirky and comfortable. It is above the bar which means...

The Lamb Inn came recommended to us from a family member who had visited a number of years ago, so maybe our expectations were too high ! Its a nice pub, free Wifi, a couple of real ales, staff friendly but not overly. I guess its against some pretty stiff competition in the area, and perhaps it showed, as there...

This establishment is now under new management, nothing has changed thankfully. The bar and food are excellent. The chef has been retained, so the food is as good as it has always been. Friendly staff added to an enjoyable night.

I used to meet a friend here and always loved it. This time the food was a disappointment - unimaginative. The new owners tried to keep the menu upmarket but clearly didn't have the skill or style. The atmosphere was not cosy or inviting.

Delicious food. I had chicken breast stuffed with sun dried tomatoes on a risotto and my wife had the pork belly, Both meals were delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go again if I was in the area.

Stayed here for 2 nights early October. David and the staff were very welcoming. This is not a large place but is bursting with character and over 200 years old in parts. The food was gorgeous and we ate in both evenings. Well recommended. Breakfast on both days again was excellent. Make sure you decide if you want the 4...

We visited as a couple with a young family. Eat in the bar area which was busy for early January. We were pleased with the varied menu. The food was good and good serving portions. The staff are really friendly and helpful which we were very grateful.
