You get a warm and friendly welcome here at castle Levan. The Scottish breakfast was lovely and there was a very good vegetarian full breakfast on offer too. I spent a lot of time just looking around at all the little details that had been added to make this feel welcoming. The only down side is that if you are... More

It was excellent atmosphere. You can feel to live in ancient times especially while drinking wine sunset. Gourock also very nice and quite place to ride, jogging. We loved this place and suggested to our friends in our hometown.

A wonderful place off the beaten path. The owners are lovely and have thought of everything. My sister and I were recently in Scotland. Due to a family event we needed to stay in the area our travel agent found Castle Levan as we wanted something less conventional. She found it! I highly recommend staying here are visiting the less... More

Kim and Mary were wonderful hosts. They have done a superb job of modernizing the Castle while still keeping the "old world" charm. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The bedding is warm and cozy and makes you want to stay in bed, if not for the wonderful custom ordered breakfast provided. Be prepared to eat a large breakfast-Kim and... More

Great people very friendly The room was top class everything you would need. Plenty of rooms inside and out to sit and relax from the battlements to the orangery or down by the waterfall. Very accomindating and a large selection for breakfast with quality ingredients.

As the website says, the neighbourhood may be 21st century, but when you walk through the garden gate into Castle Levan you are transported back 550 years. However this 15th century castle manages to hang on to the better aspects of the 21st century, namely great rooms, breakfasts and hospitality. This fantastic B&B venue with atmospheric rooms and spiral staircases,... More

Myself and partner stumbled on this b&b by chance when we booked a very last minute room and I am so glad we did! The castle if located within a lovely residential estate but as soon as you are in the grounds you would think you were in a rural location. The new owners are absolutely lovely and made us... More

Castle Levan was the most perfect romantic getaway. Truly beautiful castle inside and out. The interior furnishings and decoration are 1st class luxury and splendour and our four poster room and deluxe toilet with roll top bath and huge walk in shower were exquisite. The gardens, the cascading waterfall and the courtyard are so picturesque and tranquil. The Conservatory is... More

Last week's stay was my second this year and it was well worth the return visit. Castle Leven is such a warm and friendly place, not necessarily what you would expect from a B&B with its own dungeon. It is a fascinating building in itself, and when you add to that the attention to detail Kim and Maria have put... More
