We had a comfortable room as it was a suite, but the hotel is an older building and does not have easy access for those who might be handicapped. Located in Keystone, it is in the heart of a very touristy section. Frankly, if I had it to do over again, I would not have stayed in Keystone.

Unfortunately, we had a suite with 2 queens and 2 twins booked a month in advance to accommodate 3 kids and 3 adults, but when we arrived, we were told that it was not the room that was reserved for us. The room we were given only had one king and 2 twins. They were not able to change rooms...

Although we can appreciate the frustrations some persons have when travel plans go awry, in this case you received exactly the room type you booked. Moreover, you arrived with more guests than had been declared in the reservation. Your booking was for two adults. You arrived with three adults and three children. We, at no cost to you, provided a...

We booked a loft suite so our kids (10 & 8) could have their own sleeping area. They loved it, even though the TV really only had two channels for them to watch. The king-sized bed was comfortable for me and my wife. The room came with a mini fridge and a microwave. We used the fridge, but not the...

Parking is not very good. 6 spots out front and very very tight rear parking lot. Entering the building is not convenient either. Back door was always unlocked. The best part was breakfast. Tight buffet bar area, but food was tasty.

Thanks for your comments. You were apparently here at the same time as another guest who also noted that the back door appeared to be unlocked. Someone circumvented the latching mechanism on the door. That has since been rectified. We do appreciate your comment regarding the breakfast. Others who have commented on TA have been all over the board regarding...

How can this website have its seal on this hotel. On top of this , I booked on booking.com -- writing them as well! I had no idea how bad this place is...and so many other hotels to choose from that rate at least a one if not two and are just as close to town.I went by price and...

From your review it is hard to tell which room you occupied however your comments prompted us to check the railings in all of our balcony rooms and none were found to be unsafe. One railing was slated for repair and had a temporary brace for a broken baluster but otherwise the railings are in good repair. The issues you...

Like most small properties we do not have a 24-hour lobby … this is clearly stated on various booking sites as well as our own web site. Even so, your comments regarding lobby hours and after-hours access may be helpful to would-be guests who require all-night lobby and elevator access. We recommend that such persons stay only at large hotels...

My family and I were there for about a week. The rooms were nice, no microwave in the room itself, but not a bad room in all. The balcony was nice as it is closed from other guests. The pool is under renovation and was in very poor shape, the hot tub was out of order the whole trip. Staff...

We stayed here for 1 night while on a cross-country road-trip with my wife and mother-in-law. I had booked the room in well in advance through a travel site and was pleased with the price. When I arrived to check in they told me that my reservation was cancelled. They gave me another larger room with a loft for the...

Wonderfully clean room, very accommodating staff. I know that some people would consider the Roosevelt old fashioned and outdated, but give me cleanliness over modern anytime! Highly recommend and would stay there again.

Pros: Location, location, location. Literally 5 minutes from Mt. Rushmore; 5 minutes from entrance to Iron Mountain Rd. (gorgeous drive), and close to Custer State Park. Next door to a restaurant named Grizzly Creek which was really good. Close to the little downtown. Cons: The bed was really really awful. It was honestly the worst mattress I've ever slept on....

It appears from your comments that you may have possibly been less than 100 percent delighted with the bed in your room; and, as you noted, others have often made positive comments about the beds. From your comments it is impossible to determine specifically what you did not like about the bed, so without getting too far into the weeds...
