A wonderfully old-fashioned, traditional hotel with amazing and quirky decor. The hotel must have been quite grand in its time but now could do with a little TLC. The public areas and rooms are full of paintings, giant vases, statutes and all sorts of unusual artefacts. All rooms are different and individually decorated with wonderful period furnishings and furniture. A... More

Loved the outside when we drove up! Very old, grand porches! Very close to the shops and the river. The rooms are furnished well but plumbing was messed up as soon as we walked in the door. They have free breakfast every morning but get there early or it will be gone. Very quite place also.

Arrived early but was allowed to check in without any hassle. The room was fantastic, plenty of room and we'll equipped. The hotel was clean and tidy and breakfast was very tasty. Parking was free as well which was a bonus.

My friend and I stayed at the Eola guest house which I think is now part of the Eola hotel. Very traditional looking building. On our arrival the receptionist couldn't have been more helpfull, we had been travelling for a bit and she very kindly allowed us to use the hotel washing machine facilities. Our room was really nice, clean... More

On my road trip this was one of the places I was more looking forward to. It did not disappoint. Once we had completed check-in we went to our room. Wow. Just wow! To say it was grandly decorated would be an understatement. It felt like 19th Century luxury. Amazing! Not only that but every evening they have complimentary wine... More

The Eola hotel is situated in the perfect part own town, the historic district. Whether you are touring antebellum mansions or dining at one of the many wonderful restaurants, the Eola is well situated. Rooms are well appointed with lovely antiques and 4 poster beds (usually). There was a slight mix up with our reservations through Hotel.com, but I'd rate... More

What a wonderful experience to step back in time and catch a glimpse of the antebellum time. The hotel is in fact an antebellum house with all the modern amenities. My room was really beautiful with skyhigh ceilings and lengthy beautifully draped curtains. It was more like a suite than a room. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast... More

Great get away weekend! Ella Hotel has very comfortable accommodations with full, hot breakfast included. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Restaurants, shops and the Mississippi River are just a few blocks away. We would definitely return.

We were welcomed by a very friendly member of staff who offered us a complimentary glass of wine (which was a nice touch after our long drive). The rooms were lovely, our party were in the William Johnson room and the Ulman room, both of which took you back in time with the elaborate furniture, bedding, curtains, fixtures and fittings.... The Hotel/B&B oozes with Southern charm and hospitality. Our favorite room is the Ullman Room that features a comfy king-size bead, fireplace, love seat, two wingback chairs, desk, wi-fi and other amenities. The hotel is quiet, breakfast excellent, and staff delightful. Dana lives on site and is a true jewel with her friendliness! We enjoyed the Eola so much that... More
