This was our first trip to Natchez and it won't be our last. This B&B was great. The owners were so nice and helpful. When we arrived they welcomed us with cocktails in their beautiful backyard. We loved the fire pit and the yard was beautiful landscaped. Then the cottage was just down the street and we stayed in the... More

We were only there for one night, but it was a very pleasant stay. We stayed in Aunt Clara's - it was down the street from the main house, and had a nice porch to sit out on. Breakfast was delicious - and lots of biscuits :) The room was large, and decorated in a very Victorian style, which I... More

This little Bed and Breakfast is such a delight. One of the remaining Pre-Civil War houses remaining in the city. The owner were so kind and the food was great! The breakfast was so good that she later emailed us the recipe and my wife makes it for me on special occasions.

My wife and I spent one night. We were in the Rode room. We were traveling for a week and the bed was very comfortable. The room was nice and big. The B&B is decorated nicely. We very much enjoyed our short stay.

Aunt Clara's Cottage is located just down the street from the main house and we enjoyed our stay very much. I had just finished biking the entire Natchez Trace Parkway so it was nice to be on a main floor and avoid steps, although the main Devereaux Shields House is so attractive that we would have loved to stay there... We stayed 2 nights in the Victoria Suite in Aunt Clara's Cottage. The bedroom was spacious with a separate sitting room with a desk which was useful for carrying out a few business transactions and work related matters while we were away. The bathroom was perfectly adequate with good amenities and there is also a separate dressing room. The hosts... More

My wife and another couple spent 4 great nights in the cottage during the Fall Pilgrimage. It was a great central location in Natchez. The rooms were large and the beds quite comfortable. A delicious breakfast was served every morning at the cottage, a great way to start the day. The staff was friendly and attentive to any of our... More

I went on-line to book accommodations for a night in Natchez on our way to New Orleans and ran into a lack of availability. It was the heart of the fall pilgrimage and a lot of other people had the same idea. By some stroke of luck I found my way to the Devereaux Shields House web site where there... More

We stayed in the Rose Room in the main house and thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. Ron and Eleanor are very friendly and gracious hosts. The home is beautifully decorated. The grounds are well appointed and relaxing. And the Breakfast is nothing less than spectacular. Highly recommend.

Dear Ed, We're very happy you and Alexandria enjoyed your 3-day romantic getaway at our B&B and in Natchez. Thank you for your great review and kind thoughts. Yes, we love to walk around town as well, often walking downtown to dinner. Especially now with the fall weather so accommodating. You were wonderful guests to serve and we hope you... More
