It was such a treat to stay at Monmouth. We only had one night but I definitely want to return and stay 3-4 nights here. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff was the epitome of southern hospitality. We were greeted so warmly we felt like family. We stayed in the Pond Cottage and loved our room. Hal...

This was the hotel that I was most looking forward to on our road trip in June 2016 however it did not quite live up to expectations. We paid $215 plus taxes for one night and were allocated room 28 - Claiborne in the old coach house. The hotel and grounds were absolutely fabulous and we spent lots of time...

This inn housed in an exquisite 1818 home was a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. They accommodated our breakfast needs and the room was clean and charming. Be sure to take the tour offered at 10 and 2 daily.

Monmouth Inn is located in the Quitman mansion built in 1818. The inn sits on 25 landscaped acres and is pleasantly restored. The Quitmans were a love match (11 children) but prior to their marriage the bride's father required him to sign a Pre-Nup agreement fearing his intentions. The entire home is open to overnight guests and staff member Ms....

Lots of good things about Monmouth. The NYE dinner was very nice, with attentive service and good wine in a beautifully decorated dining home. The dining room decor demands smart casual - not shorts or tea shirts, for example. There is a more casual option, where the food is more casually presented too. We had the Miss Eliza suite in...

A merry Christmas was had by all. Three of us (77 yr old ladies) decided to share a holiday reunion at Monmouth. From the gracious greeting to the reluctant good-bye, we enjoyed fantastic service. We stayed in the main house in beautifully furnished bedrooms with gorgeous antiques and period draperies. After we settled in, we were treated to appetizers in...

This was a very enjoyable overnight stay en route to New Orleans and certainly added a touch of luxury to our American road trip. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the decor was authentically elegant. Quite expensive but certainly a worthwhile experience .

We spent Thanksgiving at Monmouth this year and had a wonderful time. The people were really nice, the breakfast was great, we enjoyed talking with the cook. It was really nice weather and we were able to walk the grounds and they were beautiful. We also enjoyed the bar and spending time with the bartender. He had some great stories...

My wife and I spent a wonderful night at this beautiful and charming Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was cozy and comfortable with all the amenities we like. The bar was wonderful and Roosevelt makes the best Mint Julips! We had dinner in the 1818 restaurant which must be the best in Natchez. The shrimp and...

We wanted to spend the night in Natchez while touring, and chose the Monmouth Inn based on its reputation. It is old and very authentic. So, expect the decor to be Victorian with lots of fabric. Naturally, older places don't have many electrical outlets, so we had to share an outlet. The bathroom was small, but the shower was good....
